- What started as a backyard full of broken motorcycles, aptly named Madhouse Motors, has blossomed into a renowned motorcycle and coffee shop spearheaded by the endlessly talented J Shia.
This episode of My Garage brings us to Boston, MA where we learn how J cultivated a thriving motorcycle community in The City on a Hill, and today operates the only motorcycle shop with a Boston zip code.
J will be quick to credit those around her for her continued success, but her work ethic, coupled with an undeniable artistic style, speaks volumes.
Whatever the future holds for J and her team, one thing is certain-ripples from their wake will be felt for a very long time.

I think this is the best episode yet. With all the photos, different styles, her come up story; this episode I feel is set apart from the previous ones.
Was thinking the same exact thing
I love everything about her, her shop and team. Having the artistic eye to reenvision items and repurpose them is a rare gift and she seems to do it really well. It blows my mind her shop is the only motorcycle shop in Boston. If I had the means I would totally invest in her.
Absolutely awesome story. Love how she just jumped in and did it!
No degree, no game plan, just learning the old school way by doing, asking, watching and doing some more.
Thanks for introducing us to a rare gem like J.
I’m still trying to get over the fact that she’s the only shop in Boston. That’s crazy and she’s awesome !
Dope! Dope! Dope! Dope!
I’ve been following her since the first time I saw her creations!!! So happy you have her here, amazing builder
No disrespect to any of the other garage owners.. but I loved her story and how it all played a part in how she got where she is.
I wish I found someone like her when I was young and rebuilding bikes. I'm really inspired seeing them getting it done. Studying and being out of the box at the same time. Very cool. Thanks for this interview
Great episode, J. Shia is an inspiration!
Very inspiring (my best friend's name was Dan Gray)!
This absolutely is what bike building is all about. Truly unique bikes, not just thousands of dollars thrown at a parts catalogue and bolted together. So much time for it. I love it!
What a great story.
Awesome set up, inspiring story and people and very cool builds!
Hey Jake. Love this. She is amazing Great episode.
Super cool video. Neat setup and crazy workman ship.
Awesome stuff. Great back story and great to see a gearhead building a great business in a great shop. 🤘🤘
Pressed on like when the interview started and she explained how she moved into the new space and what she wanted to create there. What a great personality - truly inspiring!!
The artwork and ingenuity in her bikes gives me chills
As an artist and a bike builder myself, she is a true inspiration
love her use of anything , wow
She’s perfect! Just full on talent and cool.
Let’s go! Madhouse forever!
Damn, These My Garage stories get better with every one! Love her back story and how she is doing it her way! So many cool bike and pictures in this one. J. Shia is definitely a badass that found the secret to life, do what you love!
Amazing shop 100%
Very impressed !!
Awesome episode. I like how she incorporates “Boston” on every bike. 🤘
Man, I was down there not long ago. Wish I stopped in, that's a beautiful place!
Awesome video, every town needs a cool shop like that around. Good, honest mechanics will never have to look for work, word always gets around
Great story. I saw one of her motorcycle creations at a Revival Cycles show a few years back. It looked amazing, but not very comfortable or easy to ride. I could be wrong, I didn't get to ride it or sit on it. I'm sure she's making certain bikes for bike shows (that focus on the aesthetic) and other bikes to ride.
I love these series man! so awesome, I hope they never stop doing them
Love this! ❤
Awesome video!
Fantastic, I'm a big fan of J. Shia. Awesome. Keep these videos coming guys.
