My man!!!!!! I’ve been searching for the best power tool for RCs!!!! Another banger to the list!!!! Best RC youtuber out there! I’m only a minute and 18 seconds in and I already got amazing info on what hits to get!!!! I have hand MIP screw driver at (3 piece) and it is amazing. I wouldn’t go cheap on this. I am new and don’t know when to stop tightening. If I had cheap ones, I would have stripped something by now. Thank you for all of your amazing help!!
I'd say it's the mechanic in me but I've been taking things apart since I was a little kid. My mom has a story where she put me in a crib left for a little while came back and I was in a pile of crib parts on the floor. Not sure if I believe it but it's still a fun story :-)
Love your videos! You make everything short sweet and to the point. I dont have to invest a half hour to learn from your content. I dont find myself skipping ahead in your videos, but more often, rewatching parts to see exactly how you did things. Thanks for all the help and reveiws!
Yeah I don't want to waste anybody's time. Unfortunately UA-cam penalizes short videos so I have to keep them at least a certain length but I think I put as much information in there as possible.
Cool video. I own the Dewalt driver that has a gyro in it so you turn the drill to make it go in forward or reverse. The more you turn it the faster it will spin in that direction. It has very low torque settings that you can use so that it doesn't strip out screws. It was a pricy driver but it was worth it in my opinion. Always set the the torque low and finish by hand is the golden rule!! MIP bits are for sure a must have.
The DeWalt driver is good. I've used them in the past. The only issue I have with them is that they don't really have enough to work on the top end to remove really stuck larger screws. This one after modification will install the smallest of screws without stripping and will try to rip your arm off at the highest setting.
@OGPAPERBOY77 yeah the DeWalt driver is good but I found that it doesn't quite have the power for really stuck large screws. Project farm did a comparison video with a bunch of different power drivers and the no cry came out on top with about 50% more to work than the DeWalt
@@OGPAPERBOY77 yeah it just depends on how stuck they are. Like I said testing showed that the no-cry has about 50% more torque than the DeWalt. The no-cry has enough torque that you wouldn't be able to hold on to it if it was shaped like the DeWalt.
Great video,I have been using the Hyper Tough 4V Max Lithium-Ion Cordless Rotating Power Screwdriver 1/4 inch Size with Charger, Rotating Handle, LED Light, Magnetic Bit Holder & Bits from Walmart for few years now and is amazing, never damaged any plastic of my cars and is only $14.97!!!
@@adrianramos2689 Nice! Yeah most drivers are either too powerful for small screws 2 week for the biggest screws or both. Good to hear there's an alternative to modification of mine
Great video to share with everyone. Long before I stepped upto the Dewalt, I performed a similar modification to an Amazon Genesis power screwdriver, the clutch pack on that one had multiple shims under the spring, I removed two if I recall, and had the same end results on the low torque side, but that driver wasn't near as strong on the high torque settings as the one you show here! I'll take a look at the link in the description since you mentioned that it's even stronger than the Dewalt gyro w/clutch that i currently use!
Hey sorry I usually don't do links. I don't be able to think that I'm selling anything and links changed too frequently. But yes as far as my own experience goes and testing that project farm did the no cry has about 50% more torque than the DeWalt gyro.
@DoRC I got ya, that make sense. I found the nocry page, that's a good deal for sure! I'll check out that video too, I enjoy a good ole project farm comparison test every once in a while, lol. Have a good one my guy!

I've been waiting for this video since you first mentioned it a while ago. Awesome mod! Good call about getting MIP drivers. I finally bought a set of MIP hex screwdrivers after I got sick of stripping screws. I've learned that when it comes to tools, don't go cheap. Get the best ones you can afford.
The No Cry Drill is awesome. Got mine around 3 years ago. Great and effective. I think project farm did a video comparing them and that one came out on top. Only downfall is the custom cord to charge.
Yeah they did. It had 50% more torque than the DeWalt version and is definitely an awesome driver. The custom cord is kind of annoying but I'm willing to accept it for how good the driver is especially after modification.
That is what I always say in my vids let the driver do the bulk of the work tighten by hand the clutch is good but dont depend on it. I see why you recommend this its affordable and I like that, if you can swing the Milwaukee 2401 which the bare tool is the same price if you already have the m12 batteries it works out and its clutch is amazing and you can set it to full on drill for screwing into wood and that Like I said I appreciate you keeping it affordable I am all for that.
Wow, definitely the best 'tools' vid for RC on UA-cam. You go into so much detail and explain everything. Thank you from Australia 🇦🇺 for making this vid, i just ordered almost all the tools. I started looking for a Makita driver and ended up with the nocry. Hopefully my Aarma Kraton 4S v2.5 comes with the wheel tool 👍
Cool tutorials! This tools is a great help, for new people to the hobby and for experienced ones too. Thanks for sharing this kind of content, very much appreciated and informative 😊
Shock pliers are definitely a must have! When i first got them i couldn't believe how easy it makes things. I have the small skil brand driver but doesnt have a clutch but the nice thing is i just turn it by hand (no power) with the driverb when im loosening at first or to tighten at the end i just go limp wrist where my wrist will just twist a bit and i stop power. I'll have to check these ones out as i like the clutch. Sometimes ill just use my dewalt drill or impact but obviously those are bigger and bulky
I also went years without shock pliers. Seems kind of silly in retrospect. This driver definitely hits the sweet spot between power and usability in the hobby. Thanks for watching!
Awesome fix to make that driver better for RC repairs. I like that you gave some good general rc tool recommendations as well as the tips for starting/finishing installing bolts back in by hand. I'll be saving this video for future use to mod my own driver if needed in the future. 😁
Love the video I've actually seen these power screwdrivers on Amazon never knew you could modify them. Thank you for the opportunity to win one from one of the best RC channels on UA-cam!!!
The gyro screwdriver is good but in my experience it doesn't quite have the jam to free up really stuck larger screws. This one after the modification will go as gently as you want but will pretty much rip your arm off of you aren't careful
Awesome idea man people on this hobby are so creative and helpful thanks for the ideas on the bits, channel locks, and most importantly the driver can't wait for my videos

Yeah I've tried the Milwaukee one in the past The only thing I didn't like about it was that it doesn't quite have the torque to break free really stuck larger bolts. This thing will literally twist your arm off if you're not careful.
I just watched the video, and it did very well. My wife would agree with PF it's a little loud if I'm working on a car while we're watching a tv show. That's one reason why I picked up the Dewalt Gyro Driver, quiet, powerful, and the clutch is very sensitive for delicate screws. I still use the NoCry daily just for the amount of power it offers for removing stubborn screws and tightening wheel nuts. @@DoRC

Awesome little mod. I checked my cheap one out the other day. It's lowest setting is super easy to stop, but the gearing sounds horrible. Lol. See how long it lasts I guess. Bought a cheap one to see if it's the kinda thing I will like or not. Been using peasant mode screwdrivers all my life on hobby stuff, so will see how this thing goes.
@@DoRC yeah I imagine so too. I'm bed bound after knee surgery the other day, so about to dismantle, oil (diffs and shocks), grease and loctite my new truck, so I will know very quickly how I get on. Cheers for the vids mate.

I was wondering what made yours preferable when modded. That’s a great tip for sure and all drills are not created equal so those number settings mean squat between brands. 😂 Keep up the awesome work, get out and bash!
Yeah the numbers are essentially arbitrary. I really like this one after modding because you can turn it all the way down to basically nothing yet at full strength it's one of the strongest drivers available.
I don't I think you'll be disappointed. I genuinely don't think I would be in this hobby if I couldn't use power tools.
@@DoRC yeah I imagine so too. I'm bed bound after knee surgery the other day, so about to dismantle, oil (diffs and shocks), grease and loctite my new truck, so I will know very quickly how I get on. Cheers for the vids mate.
I just bought a POPULO 4V Electric Screwdriver from Amazon, it seems ok but has a bit of a wobble that has me worried! I wish I would have seen this video first! It looks like I may need a replacement soon lol!
Yeah there is some pretty sketchy ones out there. This one fortunately is reliable and durable. I've got hundreds of hours on the one I use everyday.
Cool video could do with one of these would definitely save me a lot of time
Glad you enjoyed and stay tuned the giveaway will be soon!
Wow Nice 👍 Driver… Great Content
Glad you enjoyed thanks for watching :-)
I was wondering what made yours preferable when modded. That’s a great tip for sure and all drills are not created equal so those number settings mean squat between brands. 😂 Keep up the awesome work, get out and bash!
Yeah the numbers are essentially arbitrary. I really like this one after modding because you can turn it all the way down to basically nothing yet at full strength it's one of the strongest drivers available. Project farm did a comparison test of a bunch of different drivers that included this one and it came out on top for torque.
