Beautiful! I have wanted to see Calabria all my life. My Papa came from there and emigrated to Canada after WW2. I'm old, but still hold hope of making it there. The two of you are so beautiful together, you make me cry. Thank you both, and bless you. Nice to see young people in love, and enjoying their lives. Peace and love to you.

Thanks guys! Finally some foreign tourist discover this fantastic region. Almost of them goes only in Puglia or Sicily, that are amazing too, but Calabria it's more wild and authentic

@@salmannawazsahir7520 I have to be honest with you for non italian speaking it's pretty hard :/ Especially in calabria where there are not many people who speak/understand english. I know there are some jobs internal to the university for the students, you should contact a tutor or something like that.

Amazing place and amazing couple. God bless you guys. Stay happy always. I want to be in there someday. This video shows you don't need so many people to be happy but a very few who genuinely care about you. Beautiful place and right people to be with is what i believe can make most of us happy in life in a long run. May God bless you guys. I am in love with that place and how happy you guys are. I want to be in there someday. Till then, bye bye, have a happy life.
My parents are from Roccella Ionica and San Nicola di Caulonia. I try to visits every year. I love Stilo (best little gelato bar at La Cattolica) and Gerace. Have not been to visit Badolato yet, but it is on my list along wit( many others, like Placanica. It is true, the architecture after the war was garbage and it continues to be. But, I guess they were in a hurry to reconstruct after the damage caused.
OMG, the goats!!! 🐐🐐🐐!!! 😀 And the little one behind... brilliant footage! Also agree with Joen about current architecture. Here in Belgium it’s even worse... I uploaded our summer travel video. Have a peek if you find some time. Cheers!
It was such a random experience 😂but goats really are cuties! Especially the lone wanderer 😅 And I can imagine that the ugly architecture plague is just as bad in Belgium. It's an epidemic and it makes me so depressed!
There exist a youtube video with the most ugly Belgian houses. And you know what. We are in the video!!! And I agree. The front of our house is hidious! We searched a house where we would live a year of three and than build one of our own. We didn’t like the front be we LOVED the inside of the house. And is was a new house an like REALLY cheap. So I did an offre and we bought it. Now 7 years later we are still living here. In one of Belgians ugliest houses, but it’s our home and we like it. But I still agree that Belgium has to be far more strict concerning building styles.
I'm not proud of it! But because you explicitly asked for it: ua-cam.com/video/sj2xL9m7Y30/v-deo.html The orange on 1:33-1:35. But like I've said. We fell in love on the INSIDE. :)
Great job with the video! As your trip to Italy comes to an end and you seem to love and enjoy it so much, do you still feel you want to settle to Lisbon instead of Rome (or any other charming place in Italy)?
Hey Irina! Thanks for your kind words. We definitely enjoy hanging out in Italy and exploring all the beautiful places, but when it comes to settling down, it's not the place for us. I mean Rome is nice, but we don't feel as much on the same wavelength as we do with the Portuguese people. It's important that we live a beautiful place, but it is much more a combination of a variety of things. Italy is nice, but we won't be moving here anytime soon :-)
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!

Haha, at the moment it isn't, as it is disgustingly warm and humid here. But until recently the Danish summer has been on par with the weather here in Calabria, and that is absolutely insane 😅
I lived there for almost a full year. I absoluty hated it and couldn't wait to get the hell out. 95% of the people were very rude and didn't want anything to do with an American. The Main Street is nice but everywhere else is filth and garbage. I had a cockroach land on my head walking under a building and had a huge rat run out in front of me on a crowded street. Places don't open until 7 or 8 at night to eat so eating early is very difficult when staying in a hotel. On top of it all it's dangerous. If anyone is thinking of going I would say DON'T DO IT.

Hi guys - love your vids in general but I just had to say that I really don't like this new choppy editing style you are trying out. I find it really annoying. That said - loving your music choices of late particularly this one and the one on the boat. Just a bit of (hopefully) constructive criticism.
Hey there! Thanks for your comment and constructive criticism. Can you elaborate on what you mean exactly with the chobby editing style? Not sure what you mean 100% 🙃 Cheers Amalie & Joen
Your editing, angles, positioning, drone footage, music synchronisation and cuts is top notch and constantly improving. I love every time you do something new that takes extra effort!
I think it's what you might call "jump cuts". You seem to be using them when you are addressing the camera (less noticeably at other times). For me it lessens the connection. Honestly though I love your content and I think you drone shots are exceptional.
Which town did you like the most? Stilo or Badolato? 😊
Since I like tall thin things more than wide must go with Stilo over badoLATO :DDDD
