Thanks for posting this. It is a very addictive app - Color Note - use it almost every day. Easy to make notes. .. Had no idea that you could change the colour of the pad until I saw your video. Had it for "years" (as I perceive time) - did not notice that that square button, was a button. I thought it was the logo. Sure explains the name, COLOR Note. .. I saw this device called Boogie Board, but unlike Color Note, you cannot save notes for future reference. Or then go back and edit them. But unlike Boogie Board, you have to type and cannot use a stylus. Hope somebody invents a Boogie Board like device, running on a watch battery, with stylus, that lets you make, save, and edit, thousands of notes, and you can buy for less than 20 dollars. Being able to create subfolders, or trees with categories and subcategories, to store files in , would be nice too. And maybe a timeline, and search function to find notes - assuming you titled them. But I guess that might be introducing too much complexity... a search function... well, why not built in scientific, graphing, calculator too? Keypad plus stylus? Ok, word processor? Too much complexity, and it may require more power than a watch battery can provide. Ok, maybe a better Color Note, that can handle a stylus? Squid App? But seriously, the Boogie Board is cool, but no ability to save notes on that device, to recall at a later date. Ever read the book, 1984, by George Orwell? Or the movie, Bridget Jones' Diary ? .. The ability to keep a journal of private thoughts is being taken away.
Thinking about it some more - the only time the boogie board "turns on" is when you hit the erase button. I think the board employs what physicists call the pzieo-electric (sp?) effect, wear pressure (from the stylus) generates an electric charge, which in turn creates the ink effect on the board. This means the watch battery lasts a long time. So, introducing a calculator or keyboard or scrolling feature would significantly decrease the battery life. Yet, calculators can now be bought for under five dollars, use a watch battery AND have a processor and memory chip inside them. So, introducing memory and a microprocessor and a rtos, into a boogie board may only add another ten dollars to its price. Three buttons... save, erase, and search. Hitting save or search could turn on the realtime os, and files could be saved according to date, and-or numbered according to sequence like they are in the colornote app. ... I remember the people who invented the boogie board were on that tv show, Sharks, asking for an investment, and the sharks all turned them down. Big mistake, because they seem to sell out fast - which is surprising given their high price. But they are perfect for grocery shopping. Or doing math problems, like sales taxes. For not every doodle-note-back_of_the_envelope_calculation creation, is worth saving, remembering. ... ua-cam.com/video/5V2X6cnSoxM/v-deo.html
Thinking about it some more, one could readily save notes, because how difficult would it be to read what was on the screen and put it into flash memory - to be uploaded into a computer? See, Sync 9. But to search memory on the board would be very difficult unless you created a second screen (or grid of charge points) lying under the pressure sensitive one to bring up menus , as well as what was saved, from memory, flash or rom. The point being, cost might double. If you desire more features, then consider simply downloading an app.. you can always leave your note on an android tablet lying on a desk or kitchen table, in sleep mode , for another to inspect and read. Email and twotter also come to mind. ua-cam.com/video/yqLVASkvHRg/v-deo.html .. if boogie boards were 10 dollars or less, they would be flying off the shelves at a local Dollar Store, I think. Because much paper is wasted on the creation of shopping lists.
Im kinda looking for a notepad that can display over apps, kinda like those screen recorders where it's just on the side of ur screen when you need it.
Really..really off topic but I notice you're using a Nexus 4.. & your clock looks similar to the stock Sense clock.. What is it ? Don't care if it requires root I have it.. what is it ? :-)
