The first soloist gave me chills all the way through and being a former trumpet player imaging the emotion and strength needed to play that made me cry. I love it so much
@@jeremiahbeard3918 you don’t know how music impacts everyone’s feelings, for me the pieces to which i got most emotional to are merry go round of life piano/violin/cello performance and ballade #1 in g minor, as to you it might be something else just be respectful of other people’s feelings bro, we all love music and interpret it in our own ways!!!!
Yeah, that dude is a fucking rockstar. jumping all over into different registers and not just relying on the PLAY HIGH NOTES thing a lot of us former trumpet players used to do haha. Stayed in tune the whole time, sounded totally in control. Not me though, I avoided 1st trumpet parts like the plague after high school (when it was a competition of course lol). I was like, "hey you can stay in tune up past high C, knock yourself out!" Filled in for soprano sax and trombone when needed for jazz ensemble... I'd also be the one to haul the Baritone around and that was a nice chill instrument to play if I wanted to rest my chops! 😂
I've never played trumpet and it gave me f'ing chills. The trumpet is probably the most spellbinding instrument next to the violin, likely because they can mimic a human voice. Bravissimo!!!
Allen Vizzutti is his name, wild lad. He specializes in the "no pressure" playing, so it's all true buzzing without the *cheating* of applying more pressure to get the higher buzzing.
Had the pleasure of playing with Allen when I was in college. He played the same rendition of Firedance with us, he'd nail it every time in rehearsals. Super nice guy too.
@@Gabriel-qo1il May be. Some comments sounded like he is, but didn't state it explicitly. I thought he looked different in the pictures I could find of him. Probably I'm just bad at recognising faces though.
Allen Vizzutti can double tongue fluently over huge intervals and uses that in his Fire Dance solo and elsewhere. Here he is double tonguing groups of sixteenths and picking out a melody on the top notes.. hard to write in words.
Kung Kobra "Can someone explain 3:37? i am not a musician but wow it looks like it is on another level" He's essentially alternating between two parts. One is low and the other is high. The end of Carnival of Venice has something similar. (I just realized that he plays it at 16:30). Doing these kind of octave jumps at this speed is incredibly difficult. Oh, and he's circular breathing at the same time. Something that most trumpet players never ever learn how to do.
lol brass sounds dope... But seems like a pain in the ass to play. So much strain compared to, well, pretty much any instrument. I played French horn in grade 7 and decided brass is not for me lol
On that tune it is, actually. It's called Fire Dance and it;s written as a trumpet virtuoso feature. Allen Vizzutti is very, very capable of playing beautifully, lyrically, and slowly, but that tune is not the place for that. I'm sure he appreciates your musical advice.
