I believe this is the same group that recorded the "Ten Of The Best" album. The three soloists are, in order from left to right, Allen Vizzutti, Otto Sauter, and Larry Elam. The remaining 7 trumpeters are, in no particular order, John Wallace, Pierre Thibaud, Claes Stromblad, Joakim Wangendahl, Kenji Tamiya, Christer Nilsson, and Rudolf Kopp. Great video of some world class trumpeters!!! Thank you for posting.
That was a marvelous performance, based on every good principle of joy, musicianship, virtuoso ability, fun, skill, and every other possible input to a supreme effort. Over a long time in this great art, I wish to offer supreme congratulations.
Unbelievable! Who, or what could top that! Titled properly, Miraculous Trumpeter! A bit of Overture to William Tell in there too! Lordy! Thanks! Will be watching, (and listening) to that a lot!🌈
Gran bel pezzo musicale suonato con bravura estrema da un gruppo di strumenti a fiato che raramente si trova in giro. Vizzuti sei un "mostro" BRAVI TUTTI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Time for confession. I hv played the Bb trumpet for quite a few years but was never half as good as these trumpet maestros. Very few trmpet players ever achieve that degree of skill.
You should title this video properly to give credit to those who did it. The group performing is called "Ten of the Best" and the three soloists are Allen Vizzutti, Otto Sauter and Larry Elam.
I've listened to this last year and now I'm coming back here, noticing that this is not only the carnival of Venice… but that there's also some Mussorgski going on… which makes this whole thing even more awesome!
It was a very great performance!Inpertcular,I Iike the hermonizing of Pictures at an Exhibition! It was the same only high sound awesome It was very beautiful!
At the origin, André Campra (French composer - 1660 - 1744) is the composer of this piece of music. Many musical arrangements exist... and Campra is often forgotten. We should give credit when credit is due.
Yes. It is Piano Concerto in A minor, Op 16. Our orchestra accompanied this once and when I (2nd bassoon) first looked at the sheet music turned to the 1st bassoonist and said "I don't understand any of this." He asked "Why not?" I said, "It's all Grieg to me!". (Get it? "All Greek to Me". Oh well. It wasn't that funny then, either.)
Goduxgo has it right. Otto Sauter was easy to spot for me because 30 years ago he stole a collection of brass quintets from me for which he promised to pay me $350 (mind you I was the epitomy of a struggling musician at the time - living hand to mouth). He was a great and very disciplined player when we were studying together in Sweden, but has the morality of a toad.
Must be a trend! George Therogood did almost the same thing to me. I was working for Music Museum in Delaware and he needed his deluxe reverb fixed right away. Guy promised me tickets and a $200 bonus to get it right and move him up jumping the existing customers waiting. My boss said better do it! Needless to say I got nothing not even the overtime I put in. He's a jerk too! Next time in the showroom he acted like he didn't know me! Sound about right?
LIKELY THE HARDEST OF ALL TRUMPET SOLOS ONE BOY IN OUR BAND LEARNED IT LL. I NEVER COULD MASTER THE TRIPLE TONGUING. AND LOW TO HIGH I WENT TO TENOR SAX
Allen Vizzutti is definitely my favorite trumpeter ever. I saw him live at Murray State University in February and it was amazing.

GREAT RENDITION OF A MARVELOUS PIECE OF MUSIC.WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE. THE CARNIVAL- ONE OF MY FAVORITE PIECES.
Unbelievable! Who, or what could top that! Titled properly, Miraculous Trumpeter! A bit of Overture to William Tell in there too! Lordy! Thanks! Will be watching, (and listening) to that a lot!🌈
What could top it? Maurice Andre's version@!
Just come across this wondeful performance by musicians who take their music seriously, but aren't too serious about it. Absolutely wonderful.
Amazing great trumpet player s🎉❤🎶🎶🎺🎺
I remember Allen back in my day, when he was young. He was superb even back then. He would give pointers and tell one how he would practice.
Thank you for posting
The TRUMPET one of the most difficult instrument to learn.
But when you have Trumpets and Organs together....wow
BRAVO
This has to be the most deadly instrument to have sitting behind you in the orchestra! Checkout Ludwig Guttler. Trumpet player extraordinaire!

Такого "Карнавала" я еще не слышал💪👍💣👏👏👏

This is wonderful God bless you all.
The first song every trumpet player starts out to play. I can remember playing this in the 4th grade.
Sure. And you were standing on your head while doing it, right?
He talking about learning the basic main theme not this exact song
Yes, but I don't think you've learned this version
This is theme and variations, so I definitely remember trying it out early on. It is in the Arban's!

I love this piece. Such a strange ensemble, and great touches of flavorful vibrato here and there which is just marvelous! Also, 1000th subscriber!
That was just awesome!!! Hard to believe such competence!!!
Awesome! One of my favorite Trumpet/Cornet numbers!

Whenever I hear this I think of the late great Fred Dibnah.
the beauty of it is, that these gentlemen are not only excellent ... but they also seem to be having great fun!
nice share ~ thank you ;o)
Génial !
Love that 4 valve Piccolo trumpet.
The man in the middle with piccolo trumpet is called Otto Sauter. The right one was Larry Elam, who died in 2008.
Counter point galore... Salute

Michael Hoffman he plays well but he looks like a toad!
