I just love this movie so much. I was so hyped that I watched this on the first day of release and then again the next day. Zack Snyder understands this genre so well and the execution is just pure brilliance.
This was by far the best review I've heard for the trailer so far. It was a mature in depth discussion and not just some fanboy ranting that I'm hearing all over the internet.
We like bringing insight to the table that may help audiences understand why it the way that it is. Maybe we're right, maybe we're wrong. But, we won't bash something for the sake of bashing it.

Probably one of my favorite themes from the trailer is the world views Superman. Some worship him as a living god, but many are also skeptical of his presence here. Loved that real world aspect to it.
It's refreshing to see/hear comic book and superhero fans such as yourselves give this much of a positive review. SO many negative people that are anti everything. Seems like most comic book fans will never be pleased with what actor/actress plays certain characters and who directs it. what i love about DC/Warner Brothers and their cinematic universe is they are not afraid to go places and touch on ideas and themes that other super hero films dont touch on like killing zod,having their citizens viewing superman in negative light like FALSE GOD need i say more it brings more weight and reality to the genre

I thought you guys were gonna watch the teaser at the IMAX event. Great teaser indeed, love the dark tone, the cinematography looks stunning, we can all thank Mr. Larry Fong for that. This is going to be such an epic movie. I agree with what you guys said about superman losing the people's trust after MOS. And earning it back by the end of this movie. The military/cops/private cult kneeling to him looks really intriguing, and by the looks of that shot of superman lifting that russian rocket, it looks like the movie is going global. Cannot wait to see Baffleck, looks amazing and ever since he was cast, I knew he wasn't gonna let us down. Great reaction.
Trust me guys, The way you guys review trailers and do your weekly shows is second to none. I have been seeing channels like AMC theatre and comic book cast, Even Schmoes know! that have won youtube awards and have hundreds of thousands of followers and stuff. Imagine if these guys helped defend Zack Snyder against all the exaggerated hate after the release of this film, and helped with getting the word out there about his cut of JL. They'd probably helpout the RTSC movement so much had they not been apart of the group complaining about the flaws in the first two DC movies. They're saying all the right things here--they're so excited talking about the alternate universes and potential story points in the future (and damn, some are pretty close to what Snyder teased being the goal). If Snyder's original vision for JL came out then, these guys would have been blown away. But I guess they prefer the mainstream, after all.

I was just as excited watching it as you guys were. A lot of people have already said it, but it has to be said: thank you for not being so God damn cynical. It's a teaser trailer and a great one at that.
I, somehow, think that those "Superman soldiers" will become CADMUS and will tie-in with the Suicide Squad. We arrived also to the same possibility that maybe it is kind of a Superman Task Force to help him, but that he never asked for, or maybe, that it's just regular guys dressed as a Superman Task Force, like the guys that dressed like Batman in The Dark Knight.

Agustin Rios All the positive comments for the trailer that I've seen so far, came from the "reactors", guys like Tyrone, etc. A lot of the criticism comes from the reviewers only, most of the ones I've seen anyway, Nerdist for example.
They had a lot of good analysis of the film but, unfortunately, they never (especially Hector) seemed to be able to get past the fact that the characters weren't "my Superman/Batman". To his credit, Hector acknowledges that everyone has their own vision of what Superman should be in their mind based on their own life experiences but then he goes on to discount that there is any room for interpretation in a 70 year old character. The weird thing is it's not Superman's portrayal he's angry at but rather how the public responds to him. Anything less then adoration is seen as incorrect. He doesn't believe that people would be so cynical towards a real life Superman. Take a look at the world around us, look at how much hatred people have for their fellow humans. Now, imagine how they would feel about an alien that had essential god-like powers and wasn't affected by any weapon we had available to us. I don't doubt that we would do everything we could to try and kill him. I appreciate they very insightful analysis into the movie, and the fact that they were very open and willing to acknowledge their own internal biases. However, I just wish they could have moved past them and appreciated the movie instead of coming back to "not my Superman / Batman".

In the Dark Knight Returns there are clans and gangs who both worship and gather against Superman underground. Neither S or B is the villian. Just very different tactics toward the same goal and they disapprove and meet head to head until they realize they are on the same side. Beginning of 'Justice'.
It's 2018 and still watch your reactions. This movie means alot to me....people who really understand the seriousness and ideology of this movie. They will know what i mean❤. This movie made me love BATMAN🙌 and am a SUPERMAN fan tho🙌
Lots to love with the teaser. The split reaction by the world reflects some of the complaints people had about the characterization of Superman in Man of Steel. This is mostly from the point of view of Batman or those more skeptical, but Superman is still the lead character everything is revolving around him, even in this teaser. I'm excited to see what his perspective is in this rich world. The "do you bleed" line is set up beautifully as Batman is only mortal with the stones to actually do something about this supposed god, instead of just talking about it on the TV, worshiping or protesting him in public.
Superman isn't the villain, its from the point of view of the humans...those who don't trust him! We will probably see one from Superman's point of view on the next one.
Superman will save you even if you hate him. He inspires us to do good even when you make mistakes. Batman instills Fear and Superman instills Hope.. this is so conflicting with each other yet soo damn Epic.. CHILLS Man..CHILLLLLs !!!
hector says here that this version of superman with people hating him was great because it is a more realistic one and now he says that is wrong and that is not representing what superman should be; who can understand that?
When you stop to think why the police were kneeling to Superman and Hector says that something like that would happen in an alternate story where Louis Lane is killed and Superman snaps... nailed it!
Guys chill its a teaser. Still a year away, dont want the trailers to give anything away like most Marvel movies do. But im still on board, but dont hope that they give to much away
This is the first Batman on screen that looks legitimately terrifying. Affleck in the suit is the last thing you'd want to confront you in a dark alley after midnight. Btw subbed. PS the thing with the statue is most likely not a thing in his honor, it's a metropolis memorial after the battle with Zod, much like the 9/11 memorial.
Great analysis. I agree with almost all of it. Very contemporary. If god came to Earth, half the world would fall to their knees in worship and the other half would try and kill him. Which half you were in would depend on how much power you had. Just like Acton's quote that they used in the trailer "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Obviously that only counts with humans and Superman isn't one, but Batman doesn't know Superman's heart yet. Loved the trailer. Love the vid. Subscribed.
great reaction video, I love this teaser trailer. I must have watched it over like 20 times. The Batman we are getting looks like a Beast compare to the other Batman we have gotten so far in live action. Christian Bale did a great job as Bruce Wayne/Batman even though they gave him a horrible fighting style, its going to be very interesting to see Affleck's interpretation of Bruce Wayne. am really glad they are continue the story where they left off because they have to show how the people react to Superman after defeating Zod.

I was waiting to see your reaction on this teaser and it wasn't a disappointment..The tone of the movie is awesome..brilliant work by Larry Fong on the Cinematography..Some of the easter eggs noticed were the riddler mark on the pillar, possibly the nightwing or robin costume behind Batfleck, the 300 number backwards on the russian nuclear missile that superman carries..And many people are concerned that it is not Batman who asks "Do you bleed", they think it might be Metallo..What do u guys think about that??
And Adam, u had been to the IMAX event right? the last 5 seconds of them rushing towards each other wud have been beautiful on IMAX..I wonder what Batman had done to superman to drain him of his powers coz he was running towards him and not flying..

Superman isn't the villain, its from the point of view of the humans...those who don't trust him! We will probably see one from Superman's point of view on the next one.
Superman will save you even if you hate him. He inspires us to do good even when you make mistakes. Batman instills Fear and Superman instills Hope.. this is so conflicting with each other yet soo damn Epic.. CHILLS Man..CHILLLLLs !!!

When you stop to think why the police were kneeling to Superman and Hector says that something like that would happen in an alternate story where Louis Lane is killed and Superman snaps... nailed it!

This is the first Batman on screen that looks legitimately terrifying. Affleck in the suit is the last thing you'd want to confront you in a dark alley after midnight. Btw subbed. PS the thing with the statue is most likely not a thing in his honor, it's a metropolis memorial after the battle with Zod, much like the 9/11 memorial.

Great analysis. I agree with almost all of it.
Very contemporary. If god came to Earth, half the world would fall to their knees in worship and the other half would try and kill him. Which half you were in would depend on how much power you had. Just like Acton's quote that they used in the trailer "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
Obviously that only counts with humans and Superman isn't one, but Batman doesn't know Superman's heart yet.

great reaction video, I love this teaser trailer. I must have watched it over like 20 times. The Batman we are getting looks like a Beast compare to the other Batman we have gotten so far in live action. Christian Bale did a great job as Bruce Wayne/Batman even though they gave him a horrible fighting style, its going to be very interesting to see Affleck's interpretation of Bruce Wayne. am really glad they are continue the story where they left off because they have to show how the people react to Superman after defeating Zod.
So glad the teaser trailer is out ! Been waiting ever since man of steel came out way back in 2013!! LOVE the trailer they've kept it just mysterious enough that the movie isn't predictable 😁 Can't wait till it comes out only one more year 😓😄😄

I was waiting to see your reaction on this teaser and it wasn't a disappointment..The tone of the movie is awesome..brilliant work by Larry Fong on the Cinematography..Some of the easter eggs noticed were the riddler mark on the pillar, possibly the nightwing or robin costume behind Batfleck, the 300 number backwards on the russian nuclear missile that superman carries..And many people are concerned that it is not Batman who asks "Do you bleed", they think it might be Metallo..What do u guys think about that??
