You can tell that DeSaad was farther along in vfx than Uxas. He was completely cut out of the movie before they even got to finish his vfx. So I'm glad they get to bring him back. Also props to them for giving a lot of vfx and sfx folks during a time when a lot are not.
The Snyder Cut for sure looked so good and the tease of the characters with the likes of the Joker, Aquaman etc., dying in the post apocalyptic world showing the destroyed Justice League logo gave me chills. The Vic Stone/Cyborg arc tease with him watching his father Silas Stone dying gave me tears. For me the moment with Vic Stone with trying to walk as tears coming out of his eyes says very character driven arc. Cyborg is the bridge between Earth and Apokolips. The tease of Uxas and his servant Desaad was a nice reveal in this trailer.
Good song choice for trailer. Saw JL in theatre when it came out but not since. While I haven't been the biggest fan of Synder's DCEU films, I am glad he gets to show what he intended with this release.
You want to watch Josh Weedon JL before you see ZS JL??? I rather propose u to see MOS and BVS ultimate ed and than see ZS JL as the ending. That probably better/more suitable. If u want to compare ZS cut with Josh than compared it after u see "these trilogy".

Definitely excited to see Zack Snyder's full vision because I also did not like the theatrical version. 30 min in I was thinking of leaving the theater and I never done that before. I always rank JL last on my DCEU movie list...so I'm like Hector, don't remember really anything from that movie. At least anything good. But I think I will enjoy Snyder's version better. Also, got to give the 'release the snyder cut' fans huge props because this is one hell of an accomplishment! I was never against 'release the snyder cut' but was never really a part of it either. But that movement brought this into the lime light and it will be that same movement that will give it the shine it deserves 🤎
The problem with using the full frame is that many of the shots weren't composed with that aspect ratio in mind - so there's going to be a lot of empty headroom. I am curious how they would use that headroom though.
Snyder said he wanted to release the entire movie in IMAX theaters in 4:3. So, it's technically protected for 4:3 even though it's probably mostly framed for 1.85. It'll be interesting to see how it translated. Nolan's movies are kind of the same though. I think he mostly frames for 2.20:1 or 2.39:1 and protects for the 1.43 IMAX ratio.

Uxas wae just too much of a CGI look. After seeing Cheetah in the new WW trailer I can't help but think that WB just continues to have weak CGI companies even after previous DC Comics movies CGI debacles. Idk if the MCU has the better companies on lock or what, overall (yes, the MCU has had at least one stinker in some of the Black Panther CGI), but this is just terrible. Overall, it was cool to see this trailer. Personally, I don't like the song choice but nowhere near as much as that Come Together "on the nose" bullshit from the original JL trailer. I straight HATED that garbage. While I did surprisingly like the characters and their chemistry in the Whedon JL movie as well as I liked the return of Supe at the end gleefully whoopin ass and the defeat of Steppenwolf, the movie was bad to me. I look fwd to the Snyder Cut, altho I didn't like Man of Steel and eventually came to loathe BvS, because I understand he had an overarching vision for the franchise and I wanted to see the payoffs from things in BvS as well as his full vision. I did get that he was trying to make his characters relatable and grounded and wanted to give a more humanistic side to them as well as take them from "dark to light" in how they approached being superheroes. It's different and I dug that but the story telling has been lackluster to terrible. I assume there will be a JL2 if he sticks to his original vision of JL not ending well for the heroes. Will see how this all plays out.
Yes. It was shot in Super35 with the hope that when it played in IMAX theaters, it would be shown in the full 4:3 ratio. All other theatrical and home video presentation would've cropped the top and bottom to 1.85:1. But, Snyder wanted to finish and distribute this version in the full 4:3.
