      @@standup3686 It's not just the plays/creativity, it's the hang time and Ja Morant is the only one I've seen who compares to MJ in that regard. Imo, MJ was 50+ years ahead of his time. His plays have stood the test of time because he was truly an anomaly.

    • @goldenogregames
      @goldenogregames Рік тому +2

      for me it's mikes double clutch and layup package. Players like Ja Morant will just try too dunk on you. MJ would leap and then decide whats best. Every game, every quarter, Mike would dunk or reverse layup and it was just how he got to the room while today it's considered the play of the game. Let's not forget how he would league the league in scoring virtually every year from 86-98, where he played a full season. He just scored at will and if he didn't, he was fouled nearly every play which is why he always had a left hand reverse, doubke clutch, or some circus shot.

    Bobby Knight said in the late 80s that MJ was the best player he ad ever seen. Knight coached Jordan on the 84 Olympic team. That was the age of Bird and Magic and Knight said Jordan surpassed those two all time greats and MJ was still only in his mid 20s. Jordan was not even at his peak in the late 80s which is unbelievable. MJ had the mix of athleticism, textbook fundamentals, and a fierce, intense desire to win at everything imaginable. The best basketball player ever by far. The game against the Celtics and Larry Bird in Boston Garden in the 80s playoffs is legendary. MJ scored about 65 I think.

    GOAT.....yall youngsters just dont know. Lebron is great but looks like a football player going to the rim. Jordan just look more graceful and acrobatic going to the rim.

      Love how you put looks like a football player . But we all know he plays like a feather

      I think Lebron's size and athleticism is what he has going for him. I would never argue someone is not the GOAT based on their physic. But I'm definitely in the MJ camp. MJ exceeds Lebron for that title and it's not because Lebron looks like a football player.

      Everyone talks about the Jordan rules but LeBron will get every foul there is to get (i.e. 2012 NBA finals). The only competition MJ has is Bird. Larry wrecked his back and then Len Bias OD, which could've potentially brought Bird 2 or 3 more rings. Both incredible talents.

      Yeah Jordan definitely wins the aesthetics between the two. But skill for skill Jordan only has a slight edge over LeBron taking rings out of the conversation. Jordan is the goat but not by as much as people make it seem. Even if LeBron lost ALL 8 finals he went to *consecutively* 8 straight appearances is still a huge feat. Especially in the manner he did it.

      @gothatway09 i agree but the thing about shaq is that he was quite nimble for a player his size. The problem is that his nimbleness only lasted through the three peat for the most part. After that it came in flashes but he mostly was just a tank from then on. But the fascination with young shaq was how graceful he was for a 300 pound 7 foot monster. He was strong and nimble then got fat and slow. So the nimblness was only brought out when most needed.

    Mike was just so fluid in his movements. He really was an artist. There have been great athletes since his time who could jump high and stay in the air for a while, but none were as nimble or as creative once they left the floor like he was. Vince Carter and Kobe came the closest, but even they weren't like Jordan.

      I was there that weekend and was supposed to play in that game. Achievement Unlimited. Unfortunately I had to have emergency root canal surgery that day and it prevented me from playing. Still have my shirt from that year 86. What a bummer!
