- MJ goes off on the young guns!! Never before seen footage of classic Air Jordan on the court playing pickup with the top D1 Ballers. This was shot at his Summer Basketball Camp in Chicago on our VHS recorder (THANKS MOM!) and includes Shawn Marion, Nate James, Damone Brown, Mike Robinson, Shawn Lampley, Ike Bullock and many other D1 guys that would go on to play in the NBA and Overseas. ENJOY!!!
Crazy that he is just so efficient with scoring. No too much unnecessary jukes or fakes or cross overs. Just scoring. Beautiful
Old school way. Back in the day high school and college coaches would be mad when you did unnecessary handling.
KD plays in a similar way, which shows why he’s so efficient
that’s why he’s the 🐐🐐🐐🐐
@@kgisabeast Yeah, KD looks up to Jordan and you can tell. Jordan makes it look effortlessly
@@michaelw6104I wish they kept it that way
His moves, how he picks his spots and timing is just phenomenal.. GOAT
Sooooo TRUE!!!
Who, the liar, no liar to me could be goat. Peace
@@julioserna5659 yeah right....gtfoh with that bullshit....that's the dumbest shit ever spoken.
All these modern players these days all play the same way. Iso/dancing dribbling shit. They all do the same moves it’s boring
@@julioserna5659 STFU TROLL WE ON BASKETBALL U JACKASS
Dang. He was just jogging up and down. His shot was silky smooth. His shooting form is perfect. He changed up his mechanics throughout the years. Pleasure to watch greatness.
Who the liar ?
peace
@cloud 9 who the liar?
Peace
HE STRETCHED HIS CAREER BECAUSE HE MASTERED THE MID RANGE..
*THINK ABOUT IT..
HE NEVER HAD TO KILL HIS BODY GETTING TO THE RIM OR FLYING DOWN THE COURT JUST TURN AROUND OR PULL UP ON YO DUMBASS LOL..
🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
@@jwalls1223 gee micheal Jordan has d BEST MIDRANGE SHOT EVER IN D HISTORY OFF BASKETBALL WHO DEBATING DAT🤔🤔
Get of his 🍆 dawg
Michael Jordan had just won his 6th championship the month before this. He was 35 years old and still the best basketball player in the world.
Quick. Fast. People don't understand just how quick and fast he was ... clocked at 4.3 in the 40. Unbelievable athlete
He wasn’t even trying. GOAT
3.5yrs later he would return to the NBA to score a 51 point game, take a bow to greatness !!!
I was at that game too. He scored 38 in the 1st half and blocked Ron Mercer. Only game I got to see Jordan live. Too bad it wasn't as a Bull.
Undoubtedly the most perfect and harmonious player ever. His move, technique, hand size, agility combined with a 360 degrees game view made him what he is.
35 dominating 22 yr olds. Goat shyt. They beat the Spurs in 99 if Everybody came back
This nothing special he just scored 45 in the finals a month ago from then😂
He would still play at the highest level anywhere even if not getting paid. This guy is truly gifted and his craft is unmatchable. Being a kid in 1985 and watched him played live on T.V was so lucky . Never will there be another 23. Thanks Mike for all the memories that you gave us through triumph and pain. You are truly the GOAT during your era. The love you give and have for the game of basketball is once in a lifetime thing. 23 forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MJ always itching to play ball. This guy never lost the love of the game...
He stopped playing now apparently (60s.) says he’s so competitive if he even touched a ball he may break his ankles. Lol
@@shaokhan4421 He's still in his late 50s.
He has to force himself not to play cause he said if he touches the ball his competitive nature will take over and he'll want to keep playing which will result in injury.
Isn’t this a super old video though? This looks like it was either during his last couple of years as a bull or a Wizard or just shortly after he retired.
He dominated the entire NBA, sure he stroll through D1 prospects
MJ dressed up like he abt to go to the mall...made a U Turn at the last minute and decided to play ball
Shirt never even came untucked, man‼️😂
Lol
#bars
😭
LOL dude that comment was golden. "Hey Baby, i'm picking up your Gucci shoes & some Cinnabon, just gotta make a quick detour though & fuck up some fools on the court. Love Mike."
MJ is so fluid, like water. Perfectly in tune with the natural laws of physics. You can see even through a potato lens he's unique. Never seen anything like it. Maybe Bruce Lee. He's at such a high level all on his own that these are just drills for him basically. He's playing at maybe 25% intensity here playing in a golf shirt lol.
eh wasn’t always that way tho. when he was younger he was really aggressive and not as fluid. by 96 he was poetry tho
@@shawnerr5786 I love young MJ tho. A completely a relentless monster. Had energy for days. Nothing Air Jordan
The fundamental ; the simplicity ; the perfection!
Kobe said it best... " the Man who mastered the Game of basketball "
I attended the bball camps at Elmhurst from '94-'96. They were hosted by BJ Armstrong then MJ when he came back from retirement
My greatest memory from the camp was taking the team pic with MJ. And after the pic, then walking past MJ and him saying to me "hey kid, nice shoes"(commenting on my Jordan 11's)
i went to the camp in elmhust in 95. i was in ncaa group. i was only 11 but they moved me up. i remeber when i got the auto i asked him to put #23 on there too and he did. he also ref'd one of the games i was playing in for 5-10 minutes. it was really cool. i use to have an ild vhs tape that the camp made for all the campers but i lost it :(
@@Dociletapeworm Damn. I hope you somehow find that tape.
42 foot tapeworm I lost mine as well.
So how far did it go?
I went in 96, 97. My counselor was a young guy named Marion. A few years later I realized his name was actually Shawn lol.
He's playing ball like hes going to get his morning coffee. effortless
It's like he was sleep walking. Effortless. Not a concern in the world. Picking up the newspaper at the end of the driveway in the morning.
@@chrisx2k6 And not against a bunch of weekend Dads at the local park. These are young but legit good players. He didn't even look like he was going 50%....even though this is 1998 and he was already well past his physical prime.
@@LuiEntertainment Here's a little secret. Just between us... I think he was playing at 30% capacity.
@@LuiEntertainment And I was a DAMN GOOD basketball PLAYER. 6'1", 180 lbs. Still hoop, at 42. It's scary to think that there are players out there that could school me at 25-30% effort, with no height advantage. A pro is a pro. And I was not a pro. Much less The GOAT.
chrisx2k6 what shocks me the most is the difference in ability from one league to another, I mean the closest thing to the nba is the d1 league but even the best player in d1 cannot even come close to even the worst players in the nba, look what happened to ncaa pros when they called out Brian scalabrine in a 1v1 calling him trash, he literally destroyed them
Look magic is my all-time favorite but this dude was smooth as butter.
Damn he should have never retired in 98!!!
Man...bro be playing like he got meat on the grill...like...let me drop 10 real quick i gotta go check these ribs...
He comes back in 99 and he still would have been the best in the world.
He could have won another Championship, I"m conviced, that's the sad part...
I think he left 2 on the table
@@inokerogoyawa I echo those same sentiments gee well said mj could off had 8 championships hmmmmm
Oh yeah, 1999 no doubt
Not a lot of 3s, just 2-3 dribbles and scores anywhere on the court. He is killing them with just fundamentals.
It's called style. Most people don't have it, he exudes it. Style is very similar to talent, your born with it, MJ has more than his fair share of both.
it looked like he was going at %10 effort the whole time.
It's like me playing vs my 10 year old nephews. You can tell he could step it up and destroy at any moment.
You know what really sucks about this video & every other video of the GOAT, I'm sorry the BEST EVER, damn my bad again Jordan? It sucks that they have to end!!
Nick Kabeya Damn I like that!! There's no need to label hm. Michael Jordan is all you need to say cause another word for "the Goat" is simply Michael Jordan!!! Good call bro, I like that.
I'd say he didn't even sweat. Just so damn efficient!
That's because he was. He had just come off an MVP season averaging 28.7 and was quite literally the best player in the world at this point.
While all the guy having to excert effort, mike was just cruising around.
He didn't even give it his all
Yeah it did look like that. He was in low gear dominating and the college guys were hauling ass. Amazing ...theres levels to this shit.
@John Sabp 8 years
Who the liar ?

@@michaelmyersplays4992 who , the liar ?

I used to always love the times in NBA games when he 0:13 used to start on defense before his jumper ever getting to the rim... Supreme confidence it would go in.
I was lucky growing up. Going to his camp at UNCG and then seeing him make another cameo at UNC
Basketball camp. Every year.
I'm from Charlotte and I he showed up at one of UNCC's open scrimmages in 1999. He didn't lose a single step. I caught him summer of 2000 playing against PJ Brown's pick-up team at a high school gym. You never knew where you would catch MJ playing. He would just show up, school everybody and bounce.
@@orthotech9758 I heard about that PJ Brown game.
The man did the steph curry look away shot before curry was in league.1:43 .damn
0:15 too
*1:42
Poetry in motion. Period.
LMAO MJ playing like he’s warming up.
MJ hit the game winner against Utah for his 6th championship on June 14th, 1998. This was July 25th, 1998 about 1 month later after winning the NBA finals MVP. Cool stuff
0:48 that monster block tho 😵 GOAT
Compared to his blocks in the NBA, that one was very tame. He just put his hand up instead of swatting it.
He just emits greatness.
Damn he’s so smooth one will ever duplicate what he did for Basketball 🏀 1 and only.
Thanks for this highlights version.
His Game is what made him the Greatest of All-time. The 6 FMVP's 6 NBA Championships all those scoring titles and defensive first team's show's his dominance as an Athlete. But his Game...Is what make him the best nobody an I mean nobody has ever played like Michael Jordan.
Truly the master of basketball. Moves effortlessly, no useless and unneeded movements.
Jordan was so smooth lol
We were robbed of so many more MJ moments after their sixth ring because of behind the scenes politics. Imagine if the MJ in this video comes back for one more season with the same Bulls line up, seventh ring easy... man was and is the goat.
He was ready for 98/99!! Watching the doc over again, I believe Krause would have put a great team around Mike. Especially if he could’ve got young T-Mac for Scottie? He did before becoming the first 3-peat roster was totally different than the second beside 23 & 33..Respect to Krause
This guy might make it into the NBA one day!!!!
I spent so many hours watching that jumpshot and release in my life. Never ever gets old.
Same. And, as athletic as I was/am, I've NEVER been able to do it as smoothly. The fadeaway just never shakes the defender for me, like it did for MJ. LOL.
After the LD doc people can’t say what they want about him as a person, but damn his game was otherworldly! He looked like he was barely playing at 10 % against guys 10+ years younger....GOAT!
Jordan made it look so effortless
M.J always has & still plays with no effort. His game always looks beautifully & is fun to watch. It never left, comes natural & that's what u call a natural talent
Stunning footage. Thank you from Australia, Kory!
Shidddddd, MJ don't care who on da court... could be an infant!🤦🏽♂️ He would give the lil tot 50!😂😂😂😂😂
MJ dressed like a Dodge Ball coach
🤣🤣🤣‼️
Michael Jordan should start the SNBA. Seniors NBA
🤣😂🤣😂🤣 ironically it would probably get better viewership ratings than the NBA.
Big3 League: Am I a joke to you?
Omowàle Zaquir the big 3 is basically a three point contest.

Nope...
@@meg-k-waldren luv dat one gee I would surely watch and loose sleep for if da games are in d night 😃😃😃😃it's MJ U TALKING BOUT
Only a month after his sixth championship and accomplishing everything in the sport, MJ playing just for fun. Great to see
Made so many different styles that fit used in the 1990s and 2000s Jordan was a true innovator
First shot started walking away before it even hit the board 😂😂😂goat!!
Amazing foot work!
What a style!
It’s simply poetry in motion and he’s going maybe at 20% ( and that’s being generous) of his full potential. Just simply unreal
This Dude was 35 doing work on this young guys
David Brown exactly
B J lol right literally like a month after the finals
If MJ wore sleeveless shirt during this game he would’ve scored double the points 🐐
He will always be the best player ever till the day I die
Brian Timmons ...bigtime here for that, my guy‼️🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
He sees all, he knows all!
That was just the summer after winnig his 6 championship!😘
He literally looked like the young teacher who plays an exhibition game against sixth graders.
DAM GAME JUST FLOWS SO FLAWLESS FOR HIM SMH
Effortless player. Greatest.
Rip kobe but jordan is truly tha GOAT
Jordan a true basketball legend.
Wow .. just wow .
What was this...1/5, 1/6 speed? 😂😂😂
Just so ridiculously efficient and fundamentally sound.
0:47 that block lol. He clapped backboard too ha
Haha saw that, loved that! Nobody better!!
truth Facts man!
“!!Gimme-Dat’Shit!!!” #NicknameBeen23since90
Look at the pace he plays in. Only hitting the turbo button when needed. Beautiful
This guy has so much potential.
100% Jordan. No artificial anything.
Sad MJ didn't play 98-2000 or 94-95. As much as MJ accomplished we missed out on 5 good playing basketball years he had. Imagine his numbers and accolades and titles he would have if he had played 5 more seasons in his prime. Scary
That’s awesome 👏
his game...so beautiful
Like a Ferrari... shifting gears and turning on a dime.... even when he was just gliding around he looks fast and smooth. This older version of MJ was so smart too. He was a killer!
Dang these kids got to play against NBA-shape MJ...this is fresh off the finals series
Simply amizing
27 high-light points, not bad!
I know yall seen that step back @ 1:40
Too smooth
Mike going half speed looks like Kobe on 100..He's coasting..
If he would have came back in 99 they would have beat the San Antonio Spurs
That's for sure, he could have won at least 2 Championships more lol
With ease. That's why I put an *asterisk* next to the 99 title spurs win.
TheLegacy125 definitely...Duncan was to young for the bulls and MJ
@MEGATRON Pippen was on ESPN one day talking about the Spurs. I think he would've took a 1-year deal.
@MEGATRON I'm just going with what Scottie said. He also stated that they might have swept the 50 game season. Lol
Simply the Best
Dont let the big shirt fool you. This. Still Jordan in 98. He young
MJ ♾️🐐.
So from 10:19 pm to 10:47 pm Jordan had 27 pts 1 assist and 1 block 🤯
Atleast from what I can tell from this tape.
This right after he won his last ring. No way he should’ve retired
the confidence the swagger... i mean god damn
So smooth looks like he was not even trying lololol
Anybody know if there’s any podcasts talking about this and who did he play against??????
Seems in July 1998, he was still the best player in the league. He should not have retired so early.
Awesome 🏀💪🏾🏀💪🏾🏀
The man had like three moves at best and had the company picnic shirt on...GOAT
GREAT FOOTAGE
Thanks 🙏
smooth.. GOAT
He probably wasnt even planning on playing but just watching and changed his mind last minute why he had that big shirt on and still dominated. GOAT end of story lebron is in goat chase mode.
Signatured GOAT moves!
It is a real living ghost.
It gives me chills to think that he could win 2 mvp after his retirement.
Bruh at age 35 though!!! That's just not fair!!!!!
@00:30
Ref: nope I ain't calling that backcourt violation.
That reverse dunk and hop step then dunk. Kobe
Damn MJ is a tough cover
