- Isaiah Sharkey closes out the show with his incredible cover of Can't Hide Love. Fun fact, you probably know this as an Earth, Wind & Fire song, but it was first recorded as "You Can't Hide Love" by Creative Source, and was written by Skip Scarborough who also penned "Lovely Day" with Bill Withers.
Personnel:
Guitar: @isaiahsharkey
Bass: Maurice Fitzgerald
Tenor Sax: @marquealjordan4237

A REALLY, REALLY NICE Rendition of a Real CLASSIC!!! Great job Bros!!!
Lighters up everybody! For us old school people who’ve experienced an EWF concert back in the day you know what I’m talking about. There was nothing, and I mean nothing like an Earth Wind & Fire concert when the legend himself Mr. Maurice White was in his prime! Phillip Bailey also and that incredible horn section.
Wish there was a BLUE NOTE here in so California. 11/15/24
Absolutely!!!
These Cats are laying down this EWF Classic very Smooth. I can dig it. Thanks for posting.
What do you call smooth, nostalgic, funky , classic, and raunchy good music... Takes me to Gov. Nicholls St . 1976 ... Treme !!!!! Sleeping over til MAMA picked me up late Sunday afternoon 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

It’s such a great song which u can fill with joy and soul quite easily. D‘Angelos version impressed the most I‘d say

Who on bass
Maurice Fitzgerald was the bassist for this show
@@NYCJazzFan what an amazing display of musicianship here across the bandstand WOW...and that bass is SLAMMIN
Sang my brother's sangin
What ever happened to Maurice white?
He passed away in Los Angelos several years ago.
Died years ago. Had to stop performing because of Parkinson’s. Phillip Bailey took over all vocals after he retired.
like almost 7 years ago - it was 2016
You play that.😅
That's a bad bass player. The whole band is tight👊🏽
Stevie show love to your own people, by at least asking for reparations! “ This is the moment to remember” your enslaved ancestors and the debt owed them. And now to their descendants. You want peace, and you are endorsing a war machine. The right thing is to stand for your own people. “Your people” are hurting all over this country. This woman said:” I’m not going to do anything to just for black people”. Black are basically the only people hurting. Would MLKJr. Endorse such a person?
Wont win a price with that
Solala😂
No Dale, no!
I bought the Temptation album in 1969. It's painful to watch/listen to this stuff. They need to stop. These old bands are embarrassing. It's over.
Drummer needs to sit back on beat!!!
Hard out. Waaay back
@@poerava Ok at start then speeds up and overplays. ua-cam.com/video/e_Q5ub4dk20/v-deo.html
Nande??? What did he do wrong? Lol. He seemed to hold the pocket down well. And he did his fills and such but it didn't seem to be so bad that it messed up the whole song (at least to me).
Whiteboys don't tell us how to play our music. @@Six3rdy
Labi Siffre is a complete outlier.
wow, this is hard.... it doesn't come close however. Sorry Isaiah.
These attempts are always disappointing. The horns start out just perfect. But then another interpretation of Maurice White leaves you cold.
what are you talking about, this is anything but disappointing
yea man, what kind of disappointing you talking about? the only disappointing thing is it leaves yo wanting for more!
@@sandrosadhukhan Perhaps you misunderstand me. White was a glorious vocalist and I experienced the band in my youth. There is no doubt that these gentlemen are talented and capable.
@tapilaha
Thank you, that's the same way I feel. Who could not love hearing them performing an Earth, Wind and Fire song. I believe they performed perfectly. 🎉 ❤ 🥰😍🤩😘
