Awesome work! I have been looking around for a GPU that could fit inside the M720s. I also found the RX 640.. What do you think about that card?
Funny that the integrated graphics we, including u, hated so much were significantly upgraded w/ the M725S. I just bought one w/ a Ryzen 5 2400G and the integrated graphics are prob about 5-10% below the GT 1030 in most games 🤠

Great Video. I noticed you installed a 3.5 inch hard drive + a mini hard drive. Are you still running the stock power supply? I noticed mine is 210Watt output and I am scared to add two hard drives and a video card. Have you had any power issues?
Did you experience some problems with the power supply in the long term? I have the same PC with intel i5-8500, 32GB Ram and 500 gb Samsung 970 evo plus and i want to upgrade the GPU with GT 1030 in order to do some 1080p low settings gaming.
Which cable did you connect to the back of gpu? And where is it connected to?
I have a vga monitor, do I need to use anything extra like converter?

Great Video, I have a Lenovo Thinkcentre M800 Small, planning on turning it into a gaming pc, I just installed a Samsung 980 Pro 1TB SSD, changed the i5 for an i7 6700k, 32GB Vengence LPX 2133 memory, I have a Gefore GT730 2GB video card, do you think I might be able to step it up to a 1030 like you installed on this one or is that pushing it too much? I think mine comes with a 210w power supply. Thanks

Hey!! Thanks for this video, Ive never built or installed a part from a pc before so this will help out a lot. Do you think it will fit a dell optiplex 9010 small factor form?
From what I have read the Lenovo SFF cases are smaller than others on the market. I would personally find out what upgrade card Dell ships with the system and get the measurements and compare it with the published specs for this card.
The 1030 low profile will definitely fit in a 9010 sff case.

Unfortunately I do not have a monitor that does 4K. I can render out 4K footage at about 30fps in Resolve

If you don't mind losing the big HDD and switching to smaller ones, you can cut a hole in the frame to fit a GTX 1650 on it. Also, I noticed you have a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth antenna on your PC, can you share info on that, it would be cool to add one internally instead of using USB ports.

Thanks! You do not need to install the driver? I just bought one for my 7010 SFF. Now I need to install it.
I had an Nvidia in the machine previously - it recycled the driver. Windows does have a generic driver for it though.
Hey! I have the same model of ur pc except mine is the tower version, so its a bit bigger,,, do you think a 1050 ti will be a great choice?
I suppose it depends on what you are using it for. The 1050 would obviously be the better choice if gaming is your thing. Both would shine for video editing and CAD in my opinion.

I have not read anything that says it wont. You could compare the 1030's dimensions and the 710's size to find out. The 1030 fits TIGHT as you can see in the video so I would consider it to be the maximum.

You don’t really need to use antistatic bands, also pc component sent usually that fragile so don’t be afraid to manhandle some parts😂, I’ve built a lot of gaming rigs for people and never had a problem

The zotac 1030 does not fit ..ordered the msi one ..says it was 6 and the zotac is 6.7 ..should clear ..I think your is is 5.8 ..hope it fits ...i have to m710s one ..if it does not I'll make it fit lol ..(Dremel time )
wonder if Msi 1030 can fit ,it seems longer than this gigabyte 1030 (6.3 inches vs 5.9 inches)
The 5.9 fits and 6.0 might require one to break out the dremel tool... It was tight to the point of touching depending on how much you tweaked the case around.
Aaron So The msi 1030 (6.3 inches) can’t fit the case , right? If I want to upgrade the gpu , gigabyte 1030 maybe the only choice?
@@diwu1424 I don't think it would when you look at how tight the GB card fits that any other card is going to fit that is longer. Unless you want to mod the card or the case...

Not unless you have some type of PCIe external dock that can take graphics cards. If you did, you can more than likely do much better than this card.

Hello i installed it on my HP Pavilion 590-p0xxx, i5 8400, 8gb RAM, the fan works but I've a black screen, the hdmi cable is well plugged but it looks like he doesnt recognize it. Could it be because i've a 180W PSU ? I know it's low but it was working well with the previous GPU Radeon 520.. Or is it something else i didn't do?
