I love these machines because they don't take you through all the load sensing, pauses and not giving enough water to wash the clothes clean
don't be sorry about the sound duke it is very relaxing to a "washer freak" like me, it is very relaxing listening to a machine washing it will put you to sleep. I love it.
kelly savage I thought I was a washer freak. I use to sit against the washer and listen as it washed. My grandmother had a Hotpoint Harvest Gold washer and dryer. Loved them both.
I used to get called washing machine freak a lot growing up too
Ahh the simplicity of push buttons. These washers outlast new ins and are a ton easier to use because you don't have to push 5000 buttons on a touchscreen to get a cold wash. Take really good care of this machine.
These were the best washing machines ever bring them back i miss them
I agree 100%
That is really washing those clothes. It is truly a mark of pride.
real cool i see dryers in phoenix all the time looking just like this..what a classic machine and i hope itn is in your living room where everyone can see it..
Love those swishing and splashing noises!
I wish they'd bring these back along with the GE filter-flos!
I absolutely agree with you one hundred percent
Such a nice vintage machine there, take good care of it
Love the color, it would match our harvest gold bathroom
I remember looking at those in the store. I didn't need a washer than. I always loked that model. Nice machiene.
WOW!! I would love to see this thing in person.
Great wash action! Better then todays junk
@bestcleaningwasher its a really neat system very vigorous
.
They also had a line of “masculine” washers - the Man’s Kenmore. Powered by a Briggs and Stratton twin cylinder engine and featured no drum suspension at all for its rough-cut stone-lined 1/4” thick steel drum, and the spin cycle was somewhere around 1200 RPM, so it required a special reinforced concrete foundation that was to be anchored to bedrock. The washer came in black, puke green, and blood red. This washer was accompanied by an oil-fired dryer that had an “incinerate” feature for quick, and easy disposal of clothing when the need arose. They only lasted a week on the market before being recalled and the entire line discontinued.
😂😅
i will say one thing, that sure is a quiet washing machine cool.
The lady Kenmore's were very quiet and smooth. In some respects I think they were even smoother than the Whirlpool Marks..
kelly savage Sears Called it Quiet Pak which means the belt is 1/4 in. V as well as the pulleys
@@1911beauty this washer is absolutely garbage the newer ones like today are so much better than this piece of Garbage like that please.
Great grandma had a push button washing machine
Hi Duke AWESOME video, I love the PUSHBUTTON Lady Kenmore with the VARI FLEX agitator. It turned the towels many times as it swished and sloshed them from side to side. The rollover is really great even with the amount of water you used. Question, did you use a different size BELT or PULLEY, because the agitation stroke and the spin is faster than the usual 68 OPM and 515 RPM? You made this video almost 11 years ago, Is the LADY still working?
Same pulley and no it was parted out to fix another machine
@@phantom3rdchannel Sad to hear that...would you happen to still have the agitator part?
@@scrubflex4922 no
@@phantom3rdchannel SHUCKS!!! Would love to have a Vari Flex!!! Thanks
Cool machine
I saw a drier just like this, but white on the side of the road about two months ago. Its too bad I didn't have a truck to grab it...
It sounds like it runs nice.
I think that's a veriflex agitator you can make it even more vigorous if you wanted to just lift up on it and move to the certain number or whatever it is Mark whatever
Wish I could find one of those. We had one and my wife wanted a front loader. We are both sorry.
Only use front loaders. My olders One Is 30 yo never an issues of course Is a miele and i know hoe tò use It. Meaning no cold water only no Quick no liquid detergent and i lesve It open within cycles
the bearing seal went on mine I need a restoration guru
Thanks for share.
I have a washer just like this one. Any idea where to get a new drive belt for it??
@coolbluelights matches our harvest gold bathroom aswell
Center Post Bearings Bad or Tub is Loose
“And I am going to please the people.”
Nostalgia :P
Nice washer I wash my towles in hot all my cottons like that, Cold wash doesnt kill germs etc.
I bet this still worked better than and will outlast my four year old Maytag.
What detergent did you use?
Funny how they hid the slow handwash speed as "Custom Care" --this was a 3 speed washer
What's making that rattling noise during the spin?
Randy Hansen bad Center Post Bearings
ALL direct drive machines last and last. 🎉
How come the pump went slow while filling up to the tub to get ready to wash?
Bluethunderboom bad water pressure or clogged screens in mixing valve
@tvtimetravel i forgot to replace the retainers on the white tub ring
Any updates on this machine?
unfortunately this machine had a few too many issues that cropped up and I parted it out to fix my 66 lady kenmore
duke duckett y iz ur washer in the driveway
+michael mcgee I ran it out there because it leaked it didn't stay out there
duke duckett that's one old machine
¿ Dónde podré comprar ese modelo de lavadora?
@phantom3rdchannel haha our house is from 1972 btw
@ShitFromShinolla yes it is but we don't care it where you cant see it from street with cars in driveway and our neighbors have only one window facing our house. only reason its there though is it was leaking when i first got it and im not letting some leaky washer in my house.
