  • I go drop shotting with roboworms to target largemouth bass in San Diego's Lake Miramar. This heavily pressured lake is known for clear water and very tough bites. I was lucky to catch a few bass on my Hobie Pro Angler 14 and share a few quick tips about how I used the drop shot to target these finicky local green bass.

Have had great luck here with spoons I typically target trout with, I'll have to try a dropshot rig next.

RJ Jones dude the guy was shouting at the top of his lungs hahaha I heard all kinds of weird conversations from people walking the path and apparently have no idea that sound carries really well over water lol

I think people here on UA-cam are only looking for your videos for La Jolla but what I love about this video is that it shows that your open minded to freshwater fishing as well. I lived in Rancho Penasquitos for 20 years and Miramar lake to me was always a grounds for running the trail and only fished it twice in the late 90's. As with your La Jolla videos, I love how you share your knowledge on how to fish Miramar Lake and where you were able to find them. Thumbs up on my end! P.S. You will find some kooky people on the trail so im not surprised you caught that guy on video yelling and being stoked out 😆

I'm by no means an expert out there. Like I said, I'm stoked just to get a couple bites out on that lake. I appreciate the nice comment Joseph. I heard all kinds of weird stuff out there, there was another lady telling some guy on the phone about how he thinks he is all that but he's really not that hot... despite the fact she apparently slept with him hahahaha dude it was quite entertaining!

Nolan Rogers that means a lot to me thank you Nolan. I hope to keep it up. Glad you get something out of the channel, it’s a lot of work to put it all together. Hoping to expand to even newer and better videos as we go forward. I’m sure we will meet out there one day, keep grinding!

Tamalpias haha rad thanks tamalpais! I know it’s not my most popular content but I think I helps bring more freshwater anglers to the channel, and also shows that I’m kind of a noob when it comes to bass fishing in lakes. Cheers!

Matching tackle to the targeted fish is critical. I have fun just catching mackerel on super light gear.

100% Ryan. Everyone has their own style, and I’m never gonna tell someone that how they want to fish is wrong... anyone having fun in the water is winning in my book.

Nice video you should try fishing mission bay some good bait for the bay are warheads with a paddle tail swim bait and hook up baits (hook up baits are kind of hit or miss though) some good spots are the swim area, barefoot bar and any bridge Pilar. I’d like to see you out there keep at it!!

Juicy thanks dude. Ya I have fished MB and SD Bay many times. I would put together some bay videos, but it seems like there is a ton of good videos out there already on the bay. The fresh water bass are so tough to catch here in SD, I see them as more of a challenge than the spotties and sandies. I grew up bass fishing out in lakeside, so it’s kind of nostalgic for me as well. One day I will meet up with Roman and the MMFC and do a bay event. Cheers thanks for supporting the channel!

Chris Blevins love your bass videos. I agree spotties are less of a challenge compared to fresh water bass. That would be cool calab video to partner up with Roman and MMFC like there videos also. Thanks for the content

I found myself humming the music that you use on your videos on my way to work today. That can only mean one thing......I watch way to many of your videos! Lol. Yeah, the purple roboworm is money on the ds for bass. Have you ever fished barrett?
