my dads been a wrexham season ticket holder for 45 years, i remember him taking me to some games when we were 15th in the national league like 10 years ago, my mums also a big liverpool fan so i naturally supported them more as as bad as it sounds they were more entertaining to watch and were better than horrible football at wrexham. I saw wrexham as like a local team that used to be decent then suddenly we have players from 2/3 leagues above and we’ll probably be in the championship within 10 years

I myself am born in wrexham and have supported them my whole life, my dad took me to my fist game when i was 6 and ive had a season ticket for 9 years now, this club means so much to me. opposition fans in the NL have never really liked us because we've always been filled with passion and cause noise no matter where we go (not always for a good reason like XD) but that is what you want in football, passion and desire, that is what has always made wrexham stand out and im soooo happy we finaly got some investment as being fan owned for a decade really doesn't allow for very much budget. I really do think it's Ryan Reynolds' clever understanding of marketing - how to entertain people and along the way they learn about your product - that is going to result in success for Wrexham. The reality series is awesome, and it highlights the city and the players - the way that Sunderland 'til I Die did. Then you have Rob who grew up massive sports fan for his clubs where he grew up - Rob knows what it means (and takes) to be a passionate fan. There is basically no chance that this club doesn't succeed in the long run. It's going to be a fun ride... Basically, Wrexham should become everyone's 2nd team, I think.
Regards to Paul Mullin, one of the main reasons he even considered Wrexham was it was quite near to home for him and he has a very young son who has special needs. At least that is the reason given in the documentary.

This whole video was a ploy to get a freebie ticket to the racecourse... but seriously, i love to see the two guys really embrace what it is to experience a match. they seem to 'get it', and that is what makes footy the best sport in the world. it transcends socio-economic boundaries, it's a beautiful leveller of class. These guys can buy a lot of clubs, but they're keeping things the way they should be, and not 'americanizing (with a z) the club. the beautiful game is alive and well... in the lower leagues at least.

Sports teams generally are bought for 3 main reasons: investment opportunity, passion for the sport (rich buyer), or sportwashing (make a bloodthirsty regime seem cool and rub elbows with rich and famous people). I feel like ryan and rob fall into the second category and maybe a bit of the first as they think they can grow the company and brand to premier league levels eventually so I'm sure they will eventually make some money if they are successful.

Sports teams generally are bought for 3 main reasons: investment opportunity, passion for the sport (rich buyer), or sportwashing (make a bloodthirsty regime seem cool and rub elbows with rich and famous people). I feel like ryan and rob fall into the second category and maybe a bit of the first as they think they can grow the company and brand to premier league levels eventually so I'm sure they will eventually make some money if they are successful.

I dont really understand this media awe surrounding Wrexham, why are they any more special than any other football team. They have essentially become the PSG of the national league, using money and fame to bring in players from leagues above who are payed far more than the average for the division. I far more respect the other teams in the league who have struggled on through the hardly fair use of money to buy success, its not what football is about and yet people seem to forget this.

i don’t get the other national league teams saying it’s wrong there’s a big financial backing, comparing it to city and chelsea ruining football. It’s not like the owners are billionaires as realistically they only have enough to get us to the championship then we’ll need more investment to really push for the prem.
