When she passed it felt like a grandmother has passed away, she was always there, didn't always see her, but she was an example to all of us, represented us to best of her abilities, even when we didn't deserve it. I'm in the same boat as you. I'm an American, but I felt a kind of loss as well. Even when Prince Philip died. For me, I think it has to do with the passing of a generation who's character, demeanor and morals were better than the ones of today. Principles upon which I was raised and unlike most of my generation, kept. People tell me that I am '100 years too late.' But that's something I am proud of actually. I'm a bachelor (not by choice). Parents, Aunt, Uncles, Brother are all gone and I feel so alone 😔 I have children, grandchildren and great grandchildren but they all have their own lives and families and that's how it should be but common sense doesn't make it less lonely. At the end her Majesty had to much going against her...the loss of her beloved husband, the stress caused from her closest family members, having covid (her mobility issues, lack of energy to name a couple). Well done! The grief and the sorrow comes through and the imagery well spliced with the music from The Crown. Instead of the death of his father King George VI, it is now the eldest daughter, Elizabeth. She was the last of the immediate family who lived through the Second World War. God bless you Elizabeth, as well as both your father and mother and your sister, Margaret, who have already passed on.

It is interesting that the measure of grief between George VI and Elizabeth II would have been similar but for different reasons. George VI was also beloved but died far too young and this would contributed to a lot of people's grief while with Elizabeth II it was more she was like the world's grandmother, in the Commonwealth realms and beyond people had lost a part of themselves.

I just want the internet to know that my mother, Willda Ritter, died one year ago today 7/2/23. I will never forget the time we stole a calf together when I was 10.

I was born in Canada in 1952. I took an oath to the Queen in 1970. She was my Queen and will always be my Queen.

I am American. I taught in East Anglia for three wonderful years. My lov😂e for the UK could not be stronger!
I love Queen Elizabeth with the whole of my heart. She set a standard for behavior,
class and the respect for the dignity of all people. She was a woman full of faith. She walked and talked the
    Gospel. What a wonderful
Sovereign and Leader of the faith.
Your friends across the pond feel your pain and rejoice with you upon the
    Coronation of King Charles!
    Long live the King!

Being born in 1958, Queen Elizabeth II will always be the Monarch I looked up to, the only one I ever knew, and who was always there.
She’s been gone for over eight months and I still miss her immensely 💔💔😔😔

As a American, I always considered HM Queen Elizabeth ll my monarch personally. I recognized HM Elizabeth ll as my Queen. I felt personal sorrow when I first heard the news. I even shredded a tear and got sadness in my gut. I always like to remember the great things people did when they pass away and she did a lot of good for western civilization. Everybody on this earth cannot remember a time when her Majesty the Queen Wasn’t our Queen. I would’ve always love to meet HM, Queen Elizabeth II. King Charles lll will have my undivided support as I recognize him as my King now.

Technically, you just lost your U.S. Citizenship because you made "...a declaration to a foreign state" by recognizing King Charles III "...as my King now." Need confirmation? Just read Paragraph 13 of your U.S. Passport. I, too, am a Anglophile, but would never publicly publish a declarative statement such as yours. Although your sentiment is sweet and probably genuine, one must be careful with our written words because they can come back to haunt us in ways probably never intended. Finally, I must challenge your statement that "Everybody on Earth cannot remember a time when her Majesty the Queen Wasn't our Queen." There are millions upon millions of people worldwide who are still quite alive and can recall from their youth the year 1936, the year when Britain had three kings. Best of luck to you.
