if you add a gate in the game itself whilst playing, then save the game, open that savegame folder and inthere will be a placeables.xml and storeitems.xml, copy the gate sections for both to your maps corresponding xml files.
@@FarmerBoBonUA-cam do u know much or anything about retexturing mate? i jus want to retexture some haut bayleron house roofs to make them fit a bit more with a uk map or do u know where i would find out some information on it,keep up the awesome videos mate,also in fs19 there was an xml file with the animation commands in it when putting animated stuff in maps have they done away with that now and jus put them in as placeables
@@danh2246 Hi Dan, yes you can change textures, in some cases it is easy, it just depends how the modder made the building. I will rather make a video on that. much easier than trying to explain it here in text :)😁🤣

Great video...but could you make a video showing how to do this with a prefab gate? I have tried to import gates from an fs19 map i am converting, but they don't work...
but how do u ad a gate or doors for your map that will stay there all the time? ps: not on the main farm in new farmer mode. Let's say that you want a working gate with animations outside of the vehicle shop for inctance or another spot, how do u get the animations to work properly?? i thaught that u needed to place the info in the 'animatedObjects.xml' or something??
To have any peaceable in game all the time, just remove the defaultfarmproperty=true from the items line in the placeables.xml i covered that in detail in the video👍
Regarding the working part of any peaceable. As i said in the video, before you add any peaceable into your map, make sure the item actually works in game as a mod. If there is a particular item you are struggling with send me details to boetfaas@gmail.com. then ill help you with it👍😄
Hi there, there are 2 types of light that im aware of, one wirks via a switch trigger which are setup via script or xml. The other one is normal lights that work with the time if day and are controlled via the game.
hi brother, ok if you want to add a working gate to your map, follow the procedure step by step in this video. it should work, specially if it is a ingame one. if you are using the ingame ones you dont need to have the gate in your map dir. i also see you added it to the map.xml, it should actually be placed via the placeables.xml, not the map.xml then also in the storeitems.xml as i showed. and very importantly if you have placed it in the map via the editor then either place it in the placholders transform or delete it from the map, otherwise u will get errors.

I wasn’t able to locate the gate in any playable.xml despite it showing up in the map.xml It had the position and rotation coordinates, Iv got my playable.xml open which contains the gas station and grain sell point etc there’s about 12 sell points in total, are you saying my gate and coordinates needs to be in that file?

But uf ur just casually playing any map and want to add a gate u can simply buy one and place it in game. But next time u start a new save on that map it will be gone. Unless you transfer your savegame xml files to the new save.
Once I first add a gate I do it this way, but if I want to duplicate the gate do I still have to go into the xml files or will that already be done from the first time I added the original gate ? Hi brother, all the gates in game works via trigger not timers. So you just follow my instructions and the gate trigger will work👍😁🙏🤣

@@Farm_Sim_Brisco yes everything to be placed goes to 2 xml files, ist one is placeables.xml and second is storeitems.xml
