thanks for commenting.. bless you.. i suppose all suppliers have some positives and negatives, what i like with steam is the game management side, auto updates and the nice game file verification is my favorite tool.. one click and all your game files are repaired and checked.. :) but thats just me.. i have never tried Giants directly.. maybe for fs25... heheheh who knows :)

Your xml is not cinfigured correctly, "show in store" and "can be sold" needs to be in the store section

Hi there.. basically how it works. The game and the Giants editor cannot create any comtent, you can however and basic stuff like a cube for instance in the editor and that is it. So everything that gets built happens in modeling software like blender, mya, autodesk etc. Then the model gets setup in the map via the xmls, which gives it its abilities, movements, lights etc. Modeling in blender is a skill that needs to be studied and practiced, i personally like watching the Blender Guru. I myself dont do much modeling so do not have much need for it. My main aim thus far has been mapmaking and setting up stuff for the game. I have done one video on hiw to make a waterplane in blender, assign a texture to it and then export it to i3d format to be used in the map. 😊

However, there has been a growing need for this so i will make a basic video on building something simple and then export it to i3d and setup into the map. 😊

info layers are only paintable in GE.. unfortunately.. 😀😉 bless you

Hi there 😊.. wow you are biting off way too big a chunk 😂. If you are new to mapping i would definitely not recommend a map conversion. That is a very advanced process and needs full understanding of terrain, layering, textures, shaders, lighting and so much xml work. I would suggest making a std map first, ease into the full xp of mapmaking and the editor and the different xmls. Im currently busy with a map expansion series, which i have neglected a bit because of Mars v2 that we finished. So doing another project at the moment will be too much. Then we have fs25 coming up in 2 months which will take 200% of my time till we have that under the belt. 😊 i have a full mapmaking course on my Patreon should you be interested in doing that. Around 30 videos of the entire process where we make a map together from start to finish. The map you can play ingame it is called Imvani ( South African Map)

@@FarmerBoBonUA-cam maybe if you don’t mind you could advise me further, the map has already been converted by the creator from fs19 to fs22 and in game it appears as a mod but not as a map when your loading the game up. Any ideas why that might be?

hi there... ok which version are you on? always test the map vanilla first, check for errors in your log file.

@@ianbarnard6184 this was caused due to multiplayer and selecting farm manager. It removes all the buildings you would normally have on sp. Thanks!

oh no... just been very busy at work and all my spare time went in to Mars2 and now the Update to Mars 2.. but i will definitely continue with that..

hi there.. in the documents folder fs22, where the mods folder of the game is, open that up (farmingsimulator22 folder) there is a file called log.txt open that and check the errors, this will give you an idea what is wrong.. in general i have seen guys failed to do the gdm conversions correctly.. both gdms need to be converted for the process to work properly, then also the xml configs.. there are too many to mention.. but check the log :) for the errors

Oh yes.. ope GE on its own, go to file, preferences and set your game install directory. 😊 where fs22 is installed on your pc.

Did you make changes to the maps fruit channels in the fruit multilayer system in map.i3d? It could also mean that the map you are converting has more channels than your new map. If that is the case you need to watch my video on adding 64+ extra fruit or multifruit to your map. 😊 th3n edit the fruit channels.
