@@TheSportsCardTeachers There are plenty of generational pitchers in the last couple decades. not one of them hold value over long-term. Prospecting pitchers is just not a good idea.
I dont feel buying baseball players during their hype and during the season is the smartest play. I feel buying Wemby during the offseason is a great play. His prices are way down, but if he takes that next step, theyll shoot back up next season.
They have skyrocketed in price over the last week. Can’t argue with that. I was able to buy a good bit at a number I’m happy with. Grading currently. I’m buying all day if I can get raw card for under 15$. Remember we are short term flippers.
@@Monty_will.open_ITI think all Ohtani cards will hold or grow value no matter what since he’s really the first one since Babe Ruth to do what he’s done.
@@Monty_will.open_IT Historically rookie cards hold their values the best. 1st Dodger card is a silly notion and it's just people trying to make value out of nothing (it's kind of the same as people claiming 1 of 1 for numbered cards that has Ohtani's #17). There might be people who care for that kind of thing, but in general collectors are still going to go for the most meaningful cards of his, which are rookie cards.
I disagree on your baseball takes. I think Dominguez is a big buy, considering the prospect pedigree, how young he is, and the market he’s in in NY. Yes he’s had some injuries, but his card prices reflect that, and they’re dirt cheap, and that leaves an insane amount of room for them to blow up once he gets called up and performs. I’m not buying elly, just because of how inflated his prices are, and most of the time, a .240 hitter with 25 home runs doesnt, and shouldn’t have the same card prices like a HOF (Mookie). I think his cards will regress before they skyrocket. I do agree that it’s easy to make money on his cards in the short term though just because of all the hype! And lastly, I love paul skenes, I’m an LSU fan. But investing $450 in a base bowman 1st auto of a pitcher who could very easily get hurt, isn’t usually a good idea. To keep up these prices, he’d have to stay healthy, and pitch like this for 10 years straight. No doubt he’s a stud though
Ben thanks for your sharing your thoughts. I like the idea of lower end Skenes cards that are affordable. I have sold many PSA 10s for 100$ range. In with grading about 25$. Agree Autos are too expensive to flip in the short term. Elly +Hype = $ (short term) Hope you’re right with Dominguez. Still have a ton. Take care. RBC
For me it just doesn't get any better than Jason Giambi cards.
How many Giambis do you have?!
Rece Hinds is crushing it. Skeenes and pitchers rarely stay healthy longterm.
I think Skenes is a generational talent. Haven’t seen that kind of movement in a long time.

Im kind of done buying anything, everything is grossly overpriced. Not touching anymore pitchers, to many arm issues.
We don’t blame you!
NO please don't buy those two players until I get every card. Like hell yet you nailed it.
😊

Definitely shouldn’t buy during hype for a long term play. Only short term grade and flip.
I agree with your Wemby take. Market saturation is real! Love the video!
A ton of them!!!!
Well done 👍 🎉

Is this the last opportunity to buy ohtani rookie cards?
Definitely hard to find any for cheap
U say victor is high priced but then mention Skenes?

Ohtani 1st Dodgers cards he becomes all star MVP or world series winner those cards go up
Agree with the Ohtani play. I moved a lot of the first cards of him in Dodgers uniform. Thanks for the info.
Will his angels card stay relevant?
