- The Fritz X Guided Bomb is a German Anti-Ship bomb. This radio controlled monster was designed to give a bit of wiggle room while trying to drop ordnance on Allied Ships. In this video, though... I'm going to be using it against tanks! :)
The Fritz X is dropped by the He 111 at battle rating 2.7 which means the 50mm Puma is going to make an appearance so I can gain enough spawn points to spawn it.
The WW2 Guided Bomb its self only really works well at high altitudes so this was particularly challenging for aiming at targets much smaller than ships and much more manoeuvrable. However, this didn't stop me AT ALL! lol

Can you imagine the fright the second guy had on Frozen pass... That bomb was bigger than his tank!!
So the reason why the Fritz X has a delayed explosion is probably because of it's intention to hit the ships, and specifically penetrate the deck armor and explode deep inside the ship, so the delay might be to ensure the bomb penetrates as deep as possible before exploding.
Ironically, it was so good at penetrating battleships it actually went clear through Warspite and blew up underneath it

I wish Gaijin would remember that Germany's not the only country to have developed unmanned guided munitions during WW2; the American Bat-2 radio homing bomb and Azon radio controlled bombs, and the Japanese I-Go Ko and Otsu radio controlled bombs and Ke-Go infrared homing bomb would be really cool to see added into the game. The latter would notably help correct the incredibly neglected Ki-102 Otsu, a plane the game classifies as an interceptor in spite of the fact it was a dedicated ground attack aircraft (Gaijin has also forgotten to provide it with the up to 500kg bombs it historically carried).

Also hope they add the white phosphorous bombs for Japanese aircraft and the guided missiles for FW190/ME262 etc

I'm amazed that Gajin added the Ho-Ri prototype and "production" vehicles to the game, but can't actually give planes and tanks their proper munitions. I bet that Japan and other more minor nations would be much more fun to play if they were given their historical weaponry.
Lord knows Gajin will just break balance with their algorithms anyways.
Well, if you're going to have more foreign remote-guided bombs from WW2 you're just going to have to include the secret oversized Catherine Wheel Mobile Mine as featured in that famous DAD'S ARMY episode. If only for the laffs...!

You should do the PB4Y-2 in the American tech tree. 8 drops of seamines. On the right maps you can get 5-8 kills in a single pass. Hell of a fun time. Awesome video like always!

Used a few times in the med towards the end of the second ,effective but early dealt with if you have decent air cover.
Scouting works based on the commander optics. The regular binos have a much more elevated POV.

Neat and entertaining video, Odd. "Geladen!" btw just means "Loaded!" but you guessed that.
As a challenge try using the same He III / Fritz X combo against shipping - it's frustrating trying to fly straight and level and guide a bomb against anything above a frigate, given the concentrated AAA fire from one or more destroyers and/or cruisers. The higher you fly of course, the longer you are exposed to the barrage, as Fritz takes longer to fall. Likely as not you end up losing a wing!
IIRC the IRL practice was for the plane to go into a slight ascent and slow down after dropping the bomb, to both keep the target in the bombardiers' sights and make things ahrder for AA fire.
Like you mentioned in game 3, Italy does need some good vehicles at rank 1, though they would probably have to be borrowed German vehicles. They have a few good ones at rank 2 though.

but the ARL44 (ACL-1) at 3.7 is one of the best for it's BR, you should give it a try ;)

Scouting is honestly hilarious, I find that so long as your crosshairs line up with them they'll be scouted through entire building. Then you've got the scouts such as yours that are just blatantly silly.

I never use it in GF RB, but it is hella fun to use it in NF RB and blyat cruisers and battleships from 5km up

Hey Odd can you consider playing the M60A2 for a video. It used to be bad but I've been playing it recently and it's very satisfying. The atgm is very destructive and HE is always a meme since over pressure was added. It even gets a laser rangefinder for long range lobs of HEAT or HE and most people just hold still not realizing you have an LRF.

Hey Odd have you tried out the DF105 yet? I've had some great runs in it, the manoeuvrability and reload speed are great for the BR. The shell doesn't always kill but it always seems to damage something anywhere you hit

Normally I dislike when people light-rush for a plane, but doing it for a fritz is a chad move. Or any heavy(ish)-bomber for that matter
The Puma is probably one of the most modern-looking vehicles of WWII, also one of the best-looking armored scout cars of the war. I know there're a fuckton of reasons why this thing wouldn't work on a modern battlefield and couldn't be upgraded to modern standards, but on looks alone it definitively doesn't look so outdated compared to modern eight-wheeled armored scout vehicles.
EDIT: Just read that the Spähpanzer Luchs was the final evolution of this concept (not an upgrade of the same vehicle), so if you wanna take a look at what a modern Sd.kfz 234 would look like, that's as close as you can get.

I think they made scouting less efficient on purpose... because it's too easy to build points with a good light tank. I've never gone looking but I'd bet if there are meta stats for gained nukes. I'd guess it's disproportionately light tankers that earn the most.
IIRC the Fritz was designed with a delay so as to penetrate the warship's decyl kinda like a bunker buster

Idk if it’s true or not this is purely speculation but the reason the bomb might have a delay is because it might have 2 fusses the first helps push the bomb further into the ship while the second one explodes depose inside the ship just a guess tho I’m not entirely sure
Delay maybe due to, so that the bomb will sink a little and then explode damaging the hulls of ships, maybe...

actually the fritz x was a modification a preexisting armor pircing bomb so using it against tanks is fully in its conceptual parameters.
The bomb was supposed to have a steel nose cone to penetrate the deck armour of warships, an armour piercing element to a bomb weighing ,1.5 tons would not be used for tanks
@@humzaakhtar9208 well if you drop a bomb of that wheight with a anti armor cone on a tank its a victory. regardless if the bomb goes of or not.
Try the BMP-1, but not for tank killing. I have personally found it remarkable at killing aircraft with its main gun.
It's a shame that it doesn't have multiple bombs, that plane looks like a lot of fun
if you ever give this another shot, you should turn off relative control. makes it much easier to guide

using best logic you should be able to use b-17 guided self-destructive plane which was a mote control B-17 everything took out and filled it with tnt I'll be controlled by a fortune and I'll be 17 and they're typically crash that's one B-17 into its Target
The fritz x looks decidedly missile-y i wish the flare was a different color, like bright red, to distinguish itself from the guided missiles. Maybe the smoke trail shorter? Idk
I am convinced you only get games better than everyone cuz you get to the battlelfield first in every tank you play. I spawn after half the team is halfway to the front. Phly too. Idk if its cuz you have the most powerful PC in the world or if its cuz you have super internet speeds (I gave GB fiber) or if its cuz you get special treatment for being a CC.

Full up tier is the only way to play the Puma. Honestly. The game meta is scouts and quick light vehicles. The germans drive Marders before the next one come up (That doesn't require you to take up a loan that is.) Having to killing T44 and Jumbos is nothing rare.

DF105 would be nice at some point
