Congrats man! Great video just made the switch to FMIC, actually in the shop for engine rebuild lol so it's all getting done at once. Please once you get a tune for it, love to see what the HP difference is, and if you notice it driving.
Doope. Finally seeing this video. Lol. I ran a killer B tmic for years. Then switched to a ets fmic. Whole vibe of the car changes. Love it. Keep up the solid content!
looks nice, i’m thinking to fully commit to changing to a FMIC but want to research abit more before i buy as it’s very expensive here in Australia. please let us know how it goes !
I'm sure it restricts it a little bit, but I haven't noticed any change in coolant temps. But the ac condenser is in front of the radiator and the intercooler goes in front of that but haven't noticed any issue with it!
You won't gain any additional power from this without a proper tune and even then it won't do much for adding power but help keep the power you already have. But this is a great upgrade if you plan on big power down the road. As far as sound it will make the turbo spool and and bpv sound a little more noticeable.
No. You won't see any power gains without a tune but you don't need one. Reason I switched was because my top mount wasn't allowing my car to make its full power on the hotter days. The front mount definitely helped with that
@@StreetInspired1 oh yeah and I'm putting out a video where I'm giving you a shout out that will post next week Wednesday at 3pm. Just giving you a heads up. 😉
@@MoJoNinjaGarage awesome thank you! I actually just watched your kicker upgrade video last night because I was on the fence about it. Keep me posted if you get that Idoing unit and how that sounds with thr kickers! I hate the garbage sound system in this car lol
Intake manifold temps are never more than 2-3 degrees above ambient during acceleration. The other day it was 93° and i was sitting at 94° at the manifold during WOT. When it's cooler outside at night when it's down to 70° my manifold temps are 69-71°
@@davidpolak1431 the front mount doesn't change spool time, boost pressure, or any other monitored parameter. So the car will run exactly the same. You could put one on a completely stock car with no tune and be fine. Re-tuning would just allow for more power to be made with the colder air temps.

That looks really nice man! Btw I would have never thought of screwing in to the fuse box! Respect 😎
Thank you! 💪

To fill the hole in the center of the bumper, I used a jigsaw and cut a piece of flat black aluminum. It sits on top and looks nice!
I actually made a video after this achieving the same thing using plexiglass. Definitely much better than the gap there.
Beautiful car can’t wait to get my project car started lol
Nice Vid! Does the FMIC restrict airflow to the radiator? It’s big and covers almost the whole radiator.

Can you make a video of the after... performance and specs? How much more hp? To the wheel? Sound? Everything I can't find a video of this

So you don’t need a protune to convert to front mount ? On the WRX

@@StreetInspired1 word. I’ll order mine then once I get back from vacation
You won't regret it bro. I got the ETS black core tho. It looks so sleek.
So u don't need the top mount intercooler? Or can you install both?
one or the other lol
U badazz. Awesome bro. Looking 👍
Do you have to do a off the shelf tune with the front mount?
You don't need necessarily need a tune for it but you won't see any power gains with this unless you have other mods and a protune
Looks great bro 👍
Looks good man, do you feel any lag when you get on the gas?
I didnt feel any difference in turbo lag. Builds boost just as quick as the top mount did
@@StreetInspired1 kool o have been on the fence about getting one but I will have to do more research

@@StreetInspired1 that is on my list, I’m dreading having to do this Perrin header lol. Hope I have no issues with bolts!
What is the size of this fmic core? 3.5 or 4”??
It's a 4" Core
how different are the IATs

Awaomeeeeee video man are you going to sell your Grimm speed top mount now that I got a front mount?
Thank you. And yep it's for sale now.
@@StreetInspired1 how much ya asking I live in Waynesboro I'm looking for a top mount
@@drewmiller3447 I posted it for $600 last night.
Looking good 👍.
U need a tune for install correct ?
No, you don't need a tune but you won't see any power gains without one.
@@StreetInspired1 everything u put on Subi should have a tune
