Tips and Tricks refill Brother inkjet cartridge

These tips are mostly common-sense, but the refilling method is perhaps unique. It helps you to ensure that your cartridge is filled properly with minimal chance of ink leakage when cartridge replaced in your Brother Printer.
Caution: ensure your replacement ink is high quality with correct viscosity otherwise you will be forever print head cleaning.
I strongly recommend replace cartridge with genuine Brother after at most 5 fills, to ensure non deterioration of cartridge seals.

Get more life out of your Inkjet Cartridge.
Prop the front of the printer up by about 5 cm (some books are good for this) causing the ink to run to the rear of the cartridge and get extra value but fill the bottom tray with paper first.
For Yellow Cartridge, use a Black Marker to ink over the window (half way up the side that the nozzle is located) to fool the printer into thinking the cartridge is still full and allowing you to extract the extra remaining cc's.

I believe some Brother inks (LC3019) are PIGMENT, not the ubiquitous dye we see all over eBay.

Yes, your are right but it seems folks are refilling it with dye based inks with no adverse effects.
