I usually let my shoes dry on top of the dryer, but when I need them dry sooner, this is how to make it happen - while avoiding the noisy tumbling in the dryer.

My daughter is detassling corn and her shoes are a muddy mess every day. We have the same dryer! If you tie the shoe laces unevenly, one shoe will hang above the other and no need to rotate. We tie them in a slip knot vs. a spoon and that works too. I was afraid the spoon would wear on the outside of the dryer over time, not sure it would but just being overly cautious, probably.

I love this but I’m trying to fry my Vans and they don’t have laces but thank you.
You could try putting your Vans in a mesh bag and using the same concept - as long as your mesh bag has a draw string and not a zipper.

I think it depends on the shoe, but athletic shoes tend to always turn out well. :)
Very clever. My son and I got caught in a a storm coming off the school bus and he needs his shoes dry asap for the morning. I'm afraid to stick the shoes in the dryer because 1. What if they melt and 2. What if the tumbling breaks my dryer. This tip helps with #2. Thank you. Just wish my own shoes had laces to hang from.
Mesh bag. Then tie the string from the mesh bag on the spoon

Try putting them in a mesh bag that has a draw string :) I haven’t tried that personally, but someone else suggested it.

This literally messed up my dryer instantly. Maybe it was just my kenmore but I wouldn’t do it.
What settings do you use?
You could do any heat depending on what type of material they are. If we need them dried quickly, we do a medium or high heat but we keep an eye on them - depending on the material. If we have more time, we do low or medium heat so the temp doesn't scorch or shrink them.
If it's nice and sunny out, and we don't need them any time soon, we put 'em in the sunshine. :)

Dang it. My shoes don't have laces.
Someone in the comments mentioned putting them in a mesh bag with a string and using that string like shoes laces.
It might be worth a shot if you need to do it in the future. :)

There is a better way no dryer needed. Shoes will be dry over night.
