Washed my ASICS kayano In washing machine and In cool water. No damage done. They look like new and don't smell anymore. Good tips in this video.
Did my Nike Air 270’s. Came out perfect 👍🏼
Great video! I’m definitely gonna try this.
Before I discovered this, I did latterly the opposite of ther instructions and i destroyed my air jordan 4 . I've did 140 f° wash with drying in high temperature. If you read this comment don't you ever do like me at all
Ouch, did they melt?
@@which no , but my colors faded it was dark blue and now looks like a strange ligth blue , without forgetting the size shrinked.
Such a waste of a good pair of shoes 😢
RIP Jordans. Dang man
😂😂😂
I clean my running shoes several times in the washing machine through the year. First spot scrub any spots with Dawn, then wipe down the whole shoe with Dawn and your hands or a brush. Then wash it in warm water on normal cotton cycle. Remove, examine, repeat if needed, then allow to air dry. I have a white pair of Kayano 25 that still look pretty nice that I refuse to stop wearing until they become holy!
Dawn
Thanks for the pro tips 🙌🏼
Thank you!
Very useful thanks 🤙🏾
Im trying to protect my washer as well as the shoes.. So cold...bulky option..add towel... Ugh the spin cycle scares me...what about when I can't remove the insole? My insoles are the memory cool foam.
A tip for wet, muddy trainers is to place trainers on newspaper and place them near, but not on, a radiator (winter) or sunny spot (summer) & leave the mud to dry out. When dry & caked, gently tap the trainers and the mud will fall off leaving you with trainers are are easier to wipe down.
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does someone know a method to get back into an instagram account??
I stupidly lost the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Miles Fox Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out now.
I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Miles Fox It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thank you so much you really help me out !
@Skyler Franklin glad I could help =)
@@milesfox49 This sounds like an ad.. both accounts created 2/3 days apart from one another. Hmmm!!! the plot thickens
The washing machine doesn't hurt the shoes if it's a vertical spinning tub. The horizontal tub the shoes will be slammed just like in the dryer.
Tnx for this
Woah! That was helpful
When I wash my shoes in a washing machine at 30* celsius and do a quick program, the outsole of the shoe starts bending upward. This is the most common with the Asics brand.
Thank you, I destroyed my old trainers in the washing machine and left them outside, so will use this new information for my new ones 🙃
Thank you Which? ☺️👍
The cable real is awesome for the sparkies!!
My brother tried an anti-microbial shoe insole called PodoPhylus. It works! No more smelly feet!!
I’ve been washing my running shoes in a washing machine for years, no problem at all. I use the delicates cycle and never, ever put them in the drier. Running shoes are made to absorb, over their lifespan, tons of force and hundreds of thousands of footfalls. The idea that a tumbling in a washing machine is going to harm them is ridiculous. I recently got a front loader and the washer didn’t have any problem at all with them and there’s certainly no chance something that is mostly padding is going to harm the machine. Use some common sense: Use cold or warm water, not hot, and don’t ever put them in the drier.
Exactly.
And no spin cycle.
For how long? Time needed to wash them?
@@alineatallah IDK. However long the delicates cycle is.
What if you can’t leave the shoes outside? I am in college at a dorm and they may steal my shoe. 😂
Cheers.
I can't believe he just said that about the speed. The speed on the machine refers to the spin cycle when it's getting rid of the water not how fast it the from turns while washing.
The lady in the shop said you can’t wash them in the washer, but I have done it many times and it’s been om
Never had a problem too, it's om to wash them in the washer.
Yea it's had always been om
What does “om” mean?
@@Fuzzysea693
A typo. They meant "ok".
I did not use washing bag, just put the shoes in by themselves. I saw no damage either to the shoes or to the washing machine. Am I OK? I am a bit paranoid I did damage that I have not discovered yet. Thank you.
You probably escaped any damage this time. It's not guaranteed that you will damage the machine, but you do stand a higher chance.
Been putting running shoes in washers for years for years. No issues. New front loader handled three pair of my size 13s no problem.
Which shoes is this
premium shoe care boutique 😂😂😂
use a weight at front over ledge to keep shoes straight ... avoid banana shoe drying
Ammmaaazing I have the same whashing machine too shall i put it on quick
And make a video about it
How long
very knowledgeable whos the guy ?
So after washing the shoes, that machine is still clean-ready to wash anything from wardrobe cabinet?
Not for me thanks 😅
I don't know why anyone would even think about using warm or hot water to wash their sneakers their clothes or any type of fabric that is a good way to make sure you leave stains using cold water is the best method to wash anyting and remove stains unless you absolutely have to use hot or warm otherwise in that I don't recommend it
What detergent is recommended?
Personally I would just use your normal laundry liquid but use only a really tiny amount
I am scared now, I will wash my trainers by hand like they are a puppy.
Never spin dry your shoes, let them dry naturally by hanging
I realised after they turned one size smaller than before 🤣🤣🤣.
@@lenkabojdova i told you young one 🤣
My wife cleans her jockstrap in one
Sod the trainers! my daughter has just broken the washing machine doing this! it breaks the fins inside the drum!
Cry about it a bit more for us mate?
@@de7509OMG grow up will you!!! Washing trainers in the washing machine can do some serious damage to the machine and potentially cause the drum lifters to break off, resulting in a very expensive repair or writing the machine off completely!!
wash them inside a mesh shoe bag they won't bang around
Why do you call sneakers, trainers?
You must be American! In Britain we call them training shoes or just 'trainers' because that's primarily what they are -or were used for.
@@MrVolvobloke in america we call it sneakers because we use it to sneak around and not make noise
@@Denver_____ That makes you sound like a nation of ninjas !
You can use your microwave also
what a stupid remix of opinions
Meh, too much effort. I'd rather scrub the shoe with a wash cloth.
U do U no one cares
You guys wash shoes in the washing machine...oh common
These guys don’t know about the hack 😂🙄
?
I prefer just buy a new pair. lol
Lol. I like the sentiment, but considering they advise that you should only run on shoes 300 to 500 miles, you’re supposed to retire them when they still look fine. At $120 a pair, that adds up.
