This was THE most helpful video so far for me. I used your 10 questions to fill in my planner and I can't believe how much more productive I have been this week. Thank you Heather and keep it up.
Thank you for sharing this! I see you planning your busy life in your planner.. I look at my empty planner and realize I don’t have a busy life.. and it makes me think of things to do so my life isn’t as empty as my planner. 😂
I appreciate all of your how-to videos. I bought my first decorative planner on sale a few months ago and have been "practicing" in it, and then I'll watch one of your how-to's and go "yup, I've already made that mistake, should have watched more before I did that spread!" :)
Excellent suggestions. I'm a newbie planner and right now I use the weekly layout for my motivational quotes, my daily to do list and my fitness tracking, and my month lay out for appointments, meetings, birthdays, bill payments . It has been working out well so far. But my thank you is for a tip in another video about using sticky notes for things that may change. I love your videos.
Heather, thank you for this most valuable tip on breaking the blank page in my catch-all. I’m going to re-watch, write down your tips/topics/hints. Maybe I’ll be able to face the blank page and get a cohesive planning spread made. Explaining your thought process, then the actions needed to execute your plans is a perfect way for me to learn. Have a great day!
Yaaaaaaaas thank you so so so much. I always get so overwhelmed when planning and then forget what I want to write. Thank you so much for sharing. I’m so happy I found your page!!
I really wanted to see a video like this! Thank you! This is pretty much exactly how I plan. And then I add more as the week goes on. I'm not a fan of the spiral planners, I have to be able to remove the page if necessary, so I'm with you on that.
I know that coil gets everybody so that's why I went to the Erin Condren vertical colorful binder and then I was using the binder for a couple of weeks in January cuz I got January to December and the pages would just get hung up on the Rings and I know that's just the nature of rings and when I needed to go to all the way to the back it was a pain because I had to move two months at a time to get to the back and I couldn't turn it back on itself so I took the pages out of the binder and punch them for my happy planner and I got the black hard classic size happy planner cover and put my Erin Condren pages in my happy planner so now I have a happy Condren and I now have planner peace and the angels are singing
You can put something (extra sheets of paper, etc) under the page you're writing on. This lifts the pages higher and makes it even. That way you can write on Wednesday.
Well, now I get it 😊! I need to watch the 10 things to ask yourself about the week video and take notes😁. Thank you for sharing take care and have fun at the baby shower 🎉💗🤗!
Ditto! Because of this reason my planner is sort of a 3 in one planner. I use it to keep track of what appointments or places I may need to go, I keep track of chores like the last time I cleaned the blinds etc., and a memory/wellness planner.
Those coil planners can be so difficult to work with ! That's why I have to use my Happy Planner disc planners ! Those coils just mess up my penmanship !
I always love your EC videos. I'm interested in how you feel about planning with a kit vs. the bigger variety of stickers. I use an EC but it's filled with Happy Planner stickers because I don't like kits.
Heather thank you so much for this video ☺️ I love watching others designing spreads in their Happy Planners, etc but have always struggled on deciding/knowing the best places to write my plans/to do lists I think the hardest thing for me is the actual layout of the boxes - I like my appts going across a certain area, my to do’s across another but my weeks aren’t always the same. So then I end up with too many empty boxes to fill with stickers in a particular line and not enough room for what I need in to write on the other row (if this just made any sense) Guessing I need to let go of being so rigid and try looking up and down the day instead of just in one specific spot of the day
I am with Nancy-Can you list your 10 questions? I wrote them down as I watched, but I ended up with just 8 questions. Heather, I just love how you walked us through this process. I am new to Happy Planning, but not to using a weekly planner. I just write down each day what needs to get done that day. The decorating process is hard for me to do. I'm caught up in the "why?" to the process. I love the completed pages though. Do you keep all your old planners?
I always leave a little white space. I can go back and fill with doodles or stickers, but if I don't life will inevitably happen and I won't have room to write something important.
QUESTION: Unrelated to this video, sorry...what do you do if you bought the wrong planner but now it's to late to return n your stuck with it??? I love the style except it is missing the mini calendar in the corner n some page colors are not to my liking...do they sell a mini calendar sticker I can add to my weekly page...??? Love all of your videos...💖💖💖...Tfs...blessings...
Sandy Garcia There are mini calendar stickers, stamps and Washi available from different places. JetPens, Amazon, Etsy, InkByJeng.com (or her Etsy shop). They all work great to add a small calendar to your page.
Do you have your 10 questions written down somewhere that we can refer to later? I've got my writing arm in a sling for a week and can't take notes during the video (or write in my planner this week - which I really need to do) Thanks for the ideas.
I really want to do a planner, but I realized as soon as you said baby shower, that my life is boring and I have no friends. I go to work and come home and do nothing.
This is what I would cal a true Plan with me. I'd love to see more of this. 💜
Me too!
I loved getting to see you plan out your spreads. Filled with so many great tips for planners.

Love how you organize the thought process to your planner entries. Your handwriting is gorgeous!!!!!
Just love how you write with that brush pen

This video was extremely helpful! Thank you very much! As a leftie, I often have trouble with the spiral which is why I love the HP so much!
Welcome to the life of a left handed person. Those spiral notebook rings are my nemesis lol.
Same here! #LeftieLife ;)
Me too.
So true
Same here! One of the things I like about HP is that I don’t have to worry about the discs as a leftie.

I love your layouts! Yes it’s hard to write on the spiral planners, since I older I love that I found the disc system. Thank you!

Where did you get the stickers that are in this Layout. And I love every one of your videos.
I do the same thing... brush lettering the bigger events in my planner, and a finer tip pen for their extra details!
YES! This is so helpful with real examples; glad you showed this part of the process in lil more detail!
This is so clever and well thought out! Thank you! My planning just got so much simpler!
NICE !

I am left handed so spiral rings have always been a problem. I have never thought of this. It's genius!
I absolutely love that layout. The book washi(?) at the bottom is everything! I love the. Good suggestions for filling out the planner. TFS
Well, now I get it 😊! I need to watch the 10 things to ask yourself about the week video and take notes😁. Thank you for sharing take care and have fun at the baby shower 🎉💗🤗!
This was awesome!
I love that books spread!
Thank you!! This is exactly what I needed as a newbie.
This is so helpful. I’m retired and if I don’t have a lot of outside stuff to do sometimes. I struggle to put anything down.
I too am retired so I get what you're saying !
Ditto! Because of this reason my planner is sort of a 3 in one planner. I use it to keep track of what appointments or places I may need to go, I keep track of chores like the last time I cleaned the blinds etc., and a memory/wellness planner.
That was an awesome video! I needed that so much. I did watch your other 10 questions video, but seeing it puts in perspective. Thank you.
Like before finished watching it😚 love your content. You really helped me on my planner journey and finding my own style.
I have never used a brush pen. You make it look so easy and I am thinking it is probably not as easy as it looks. :)
Love it!
Excellent video! Thank you!
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!! 💕
You write so pretty😊
Thx for sharing this videos it gives us some great ideas 👍🏻
Love your handwriting! Pretty layout where is it from?
Love it ...
Very good idea. I have to leave room for things that come up at the last minute. Do you?
Those coil planners can be so difficult to work with ! That's why I have to use my Happy Planner disc planners !
Those coils just mess up my penmanship !
I always love your EC videos. I'm interested in how you feel about planning with a kit vs. the bigger variety of stickers. I use an EC but it's filled with Happy Planner stickers because I don't like kits.
Jen Rothke I usually don’t use kits but I’ve been hoarding some of these from Planners Anonymous and it’s time to USE THEM!
where did you get the stickers for your layout. I love them
Heather thank you so much for this video ☺️ I love watching others designing spreads in their Happy Planners, etc but have always struggled on deciding/knowing the best places to write my plans/to do lists

Me too. My brain works chronologically from top to bottom.
Awesome video!
Those books stickers are speaking to me lol
I have what you call a Happy Planner check list planner. I really like it but how would I make it more pleasing to the eye..... Thank you

Hey, where did you get these book stickers? I love them and would like to get myself some.
I always leave a little white space. I can go back and fill with doodles or stickers, but if I don't life will inevitably happen and I won't have room to write something important.
Thanks for the tips. What sticker kit did you use in the planner?
Alice Crump this kit is from Planners Anonymous!
Hi Heather, Do you have a video filling out your social media planner? I also use a social media planner. I am a blogger. I am looking for ideas!
I always write on the sticker first and then put it on wednesday...
Great idea

This totally happened to me with my work planner. The sales are great right now; replaced it for just about $12.
Julie PurpleChick thank you just might look into this tomorrow while I'm out n about...🌷...
Just Scribble thank you for the info, I will check it out if I don't find anything reasonably priced tomorrow...🌷...
Not sure where in the world you are, but Walmart also has the calendar washi stickers, too.
It is so weird that you are throwing a baby shower on the 18th, for an Ashley at 2PM. My sister is throwing my baby shower on the 18th, at 2PM EST!
Ashley Copper congratulations
@@jmatos7872 Thank you!
Can you create a spread with The Happy Planners least popular selling sticker book?
Jennifer Maldonado I don’t know what their least people selling sticker book is 🤷🏻♀️
The answer is none 😂😂😂
Do you have your 10 questions written down somewhere that we can refer to later? I've got my writing arm in a sling for a week and can't take notes during the video (or write in my planner this week - which I really need to do)
Thanks for the ideas.
What about the monthly calendar page how to you decorate it?
Jeanie Spinks I have a video on how to use your monthly spread! It would depend on how you choose to use it
did u practice your brush lettering?
YES! You HAVE to practice practice practice ALL the time
@@kellofaplan well you're doing great ! Maybe I'll get into it one day when I have more time on my hands.
I really want to do a planner, but I realized as soon as you said baby shower, that my life is boring and I have no friends. I go to work and come home and do nothing.
