I totally see them bringing back Airship Fortress. They've remixed the music for Tour and made it much, much more detailed. No way they're not using all that work for MK8D
I heavily suspect all of the courses in this DLC pack are in Tour or will be in Tour to sort of bridge them together. I highly doubt they'd remake any courses exclusively for MK8
They didn't remix it for Mario Kart Tour. ua-cam.com/video/quvajaUipLM/v-deo.html The only courses to recieve new remixes for Mario Kart Tour are Sky Garden and Sunset Wilds.
@@harrybest2041 I'd be surprised if they didn't have the Booster course pass in mind when developing the newer Tour tracks. Airship Fortress already looks detailed but I'm sure tracks like Mushroom Gorge look the way they do because they're laying the ground work for their inclusion in MK8D

Oh boy... I have a lot to say, so this is going to be a long post. General - I don't feel that "this track has never been recreated before" is a strong argument in favor of a track appearing in the DLC pack. The only evidence supporting this view thus far is the inclusion of Shroom Ridge, and I've heard conflicting reports about whether or not there were assets belonging to it that were already in Tour. I feel like "track or its assets in Tour" is going to be the big deciding factor, especially for the early waves. One other thing to know is that I've compiled a number of "top 145 Mario Kart tracks" lists and averaged their results, so I have some idea of what tracks tend to score highly and which ones don't. I also have information on which tracks are in Tour, and also which tracks have known assets in the code. These tracks are the ones with a far easier path into this DLC. SNES (general) - I think you're right that we're not going to see any themes repeated, but I feel like Ghost Valley is also going to have a track make it in. It's one of the more distinctive themes in the game. N64 Koopa Troopa Beach - While this isn't one of the tracks that a lot of people talk about, whenever people rank it against the other tracks in the series (SNES to Switch) it tends to do very well. It's generally rated higher than Kalimari Desert even, by about 20 positions on average (based off the rankings I've gathered). Indeed, this track ranks 5th among all N64 tracks on average, and 3rd of those that have not appeared in Mario Kart 8 (only Bowser's Castle and Wario Stadium rank higher). So this track being thought of as a shoo-in isn't exactly out of nowhere. N64 Wario Stadium - The one obstacle in the way of this track is that it's not only not in Tour, none of the assets belonging to it are in Tour either. Unfortunately this is a big obstacle. I don't see this making an appearance until a late wave, if it appears at all. GBA Luigi Circuit, GBA Yoshi Desert - Giving these tracks a boost is the fact that some of their assets are in Tour's code. This could make them both easier to port. GCN (general) - Unfortunately the fact is, most of the tracks in this game are not in Tour and don't have assets in Tour's code. I get the feeling that a lot of very popular tracks from this game are going to miss out. GCN Mushroom Bridge, GCN Mushroom City - Giving these tracks a potential boost is the fact that they share an asset that is in the code for Mario Kart Tour. I think Mushroom City is the longer shot of the two because of the four tracks in Double Dash that were not retro tracks in the next four Mario Kart games, none have appeared in Tour. GCN Daisy Cruiser, GCN Waluigi Stadium, GCN DK Mountain - These tracks have assets in Tour's code already. The developers are, or were, definitely looking to port these tracks into Tour. And I think Waluigi Stadium will probably make it in because I don't think N64 Wario Stadium will. GCN Wario Colosseum, GCN Bowser's Castle, GCN Rainbow Road - These tracks have never been re-created in later games. These tracks are not in Tour in any capacity. I don't see them making it, even though a lot of players really would like to see them make it. DS Airship Fortress - *_WHAT?!_* You're talking about a track that has popularity _nearly on par_ with Waluigi Pinball! Between that, _and_ its inclusion in Tour... if this one doesn't make the cut, there will be a _lot_ of people who are disappointed and/or confused. Unlike you, I think this track is a shoo-in. Wii (general) - Like with Double Dash, there aren't a lot of tracks that made it into Tour or its code, but there are a few. Coconut Mall was one of them, having had assets discovered in Tour's code before this DLC was announced. Wii Mushroom Gorge - Technically this one is _not_ in Tour... yet. It does have assets in Tour's code, though, so it's still a good pick for making it into the DLC. 3DS (general) - With the general high quality of the courses in this game, it's going to be difficult to narrow down the ones that make it. I feel like they're going to have one per wave, so six tracks are going to miss the cut. The top five popular tracks from this game (available for picking) are Rainbow Road, Maka Wuhu, Wario Shipyard, Wuhu Loop, and Bowser's Castle. If they include the current 6th place track (Rock Rock Mountain), I expect one of the Wuhu Island tracks to be cut, or possibly Bowser's Castle. Tour (general) - In addition to the tracks that are already known, there are datamined assets for as many as three more tracks original to Tour. Two tracks have known associated locations--Amsterdam and Bangkok. The third is, as far as I know, unknown. Also, apparently there was more than one version of Tokyo Blur in play during the trailer, suggesting that perhaps it'll be a setup akin to the current Animal Crossing tracks--multiple possible variants, possibly selectable. As such, I believe that Tour tracks will be in the mix for all waves. Rainbow Roads - While there are a number of people predicting that the final cup will consist completely of Rainbow Roads, I feel this isn't particularly realistic. I feel like it's more wishful thinking than anything, especially with Double Dash (and to a lesser extent, Wii) tracks having such a low batting average of getting into Tour, even with datamines taken into account. Also, four Rainbow Roads in the _same_ cup seems that it might make the tracks blend together, which really isn't a good thing. I honestly don't see this happening.
So given my (numerous) thoughts on the subject, what's my prediction? Well, I've put this together--it's mostly based off Tour's known tracks and datamined assets, with a few educated guesses thrown in, especially later on. - *_Wave 2_* - *Turnip Cup* Tour - New York Minute SNES - Ghost Valley 1 3DS - Wario Shipyard Wii - Maple Treeway *Propellor Shroom Cup* Tour - London Loop GBA - Cheep Cheep Island GCN - Dino Dino Jungle DS - Luigi's Mansion - *_Wave 3_* - *Rock Shroom Cup* Tour - Vancouver Velocity GCN - Daisy Cruiser 3DS - Wuhu Loop Wii - DK Summit *Power Moon Cup* SNES - Vanilla Lake 1 N64 - Luigi Raceway GBA - Bowser Castle 2 Tour - Merry Mountain - *_Wave 4_* - *Berry Cup* Tour - Berlin Byways Wii - Mushroom Gorge N64 - Koopa Troopa Beach 3DS - Maka Wuhu *Boomerang Cup* Tour - Los Angeles Laps GBA - Luigi Circuit GCN - DK Mountain DS - Waluigi Pinball - *_Wave 5_* - *Feather Cup* Tour - Sydney Sprint GBA - Sunset Wilds SNES - Mario Circuit 2 DS - Airship Fortress *Double Cherry Cup* Tour - Singapore Speedway GCN - Mushroom Bridge N64 - Kalimari Desert 3DS - Bowser's Castle - *_Wave 6_* - *Super Acorn Cup* Tour - [Amsterdam Avenues] (based off datamine suggesting an Amsterdam course in Tour) DS - Delfino Square GCN - Waluigi Stadium N64 - Frappe Snowland *Spiny Shell Cup* Tour - [Bangkok Boulevards] (based off datamine suggesting a Bangkok course in Tour) SNES - Choco Island 1 Wii - Koopa Cape 3DS - Rainbow Road
This is the best Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pack analysis/prediction video I have seen out of four or five of them. Good work with a thoughtful analysis looking at each game.
The theory of the Blue Shell cup is a must. See the game out with a compilation of the hardest MK tracks of all time. I also agree with how they'll select courses from each game to balance it out
@@melontoad Honestly, after having about half a year to consider it since posting my initial comment, yeah, I agree with you. While I don’t agree to such an aggressive scale, I do now hold the stance that it seems quite unlikely and unbalanced to have the Spiny Cup consist wholly of Rainbow Roads.
I agree with some of your predictions and disagree with others. Personally what I'm expecting (not necessarily what I want) is: I think we'll get the remaining 8 original tracks from Tour too, plus around 2-3 unannounced city tracks (I think most likely candidates are Rio de Janeiro, Cairo, Beijing, Rome, and Madrid). So of the remaining 40, I think only 29-30 will be from games that aren't Tour. Super Mario Kart: Vanilla Lake, Mario Circuit Mario Kart 64: Bowser's Castle, Kalimari Desrt, Wario Stadium, Koopa Troopa Beach, Frappe Snowland Mario Kart Super Circuit: Cheap Cheap Island, Lakeside Park, Sunset Wilds, Luigi Circuit Double Dash: Mushroom Bridge, DK Mountain, Daisy Cruiser, Dino Dino Jungle DS: Yoshi Falls, Luigi's Mansion, Delfino Square, Waluigi Pinball, Airship Fortress, Peach Gardens, Bowser's Castle Wii: Mushroom Gorge, Toad's Factory, DK Summit, Koopa Cape, Maple Treeway, Rainbow Road 7: Shy Guy Bazaar, Daisy Hills, Wario Shipyard, Rock Rock Mountain, Maka Wuhu, Rosalina's Ice World, Rainbow Road Aside from the Tour tracks (which I think will take up 10 or 11 of the remaining 40 slots), the courses I picked add up to a total of 35 courses. While I think we'll only have 29 or 30 slots from retro games available, which means I included around 5 or 6 more courses than can appear in the DLC. However, it's too hard to predict the exact courses, so the 6 or 7 give me some margin of error.
The point at the end makes so much sense. Something about dk summit is the fact that people are not considering the lack of half pipes in 8 and 7. The base of 8 had no tracks with half pipes in their original variations. Also, there is a typo in the section where u were listing out the mkt tracks with Berlin byways. This is one of the best predictions I have seen and I love how u went over every track. Worth the 40 minutes ;)
I could see vanilla lake coming back (it was in tour and hasn’t been remade in a mainline Mario kart game yet) and Mario circuit 1 (since it’s the first Mario kart track.
Sky Garden isn’t Sky Garden. Also Waluigi Pinball is...questionable. I say this because they have unique music compositions for all tracks in MK8 and Wario Stadium has Waluigi Pinball’s music. If they do, they’ll probably do another composition of it.
Mario Kart DS had the same themes for Luigi Circuit and Yoshi Circuit, so maybe it's the same situation here. Edit: Waluigi Pinball and Wario Circuit were also in Mario Kart DS.
I did the same thing, but one more thing I took into consideration was music. Mario Kart 8 is the first Mario Kart game to not share music between tracks, and we know thanks to the Coconut Mall music in the trailer that we are getting new arrangements for these returning tracks. I personally don't think we will be getting any courses with repeat music, which unfortunately disqualifies a lot of great tracks. It's a massive shame, but there is a possibility we will not be getting Waluigi Pinball because of this. All things considered, here are the 48 tracks I think have a good chance of coming to this DLC: Super Mario Kart Mario Circuit 2 Ghost Valley 2 Vanilla Lake 1 Koopa Beach 2 Mario Kart 64 Choco Mountain (Wave 1) Kalimari Desert Frappe Snowland Bowser's Castle DK's Jungle Parkway Mario Kart: Super Circuit Sky Garden (Wave 1) Cheep-Cheep Island Sunset Wilds Yoshi Desert Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Peach Beach Mushroom Bridge Wario Colosseum Dino Dino Jungle Mario Kart DS Shroom Ridge (Wave 1) Delfino Square DK Pass Mario Circuit Airship Fortress Mario Kart Wii Coconut Mall (Wave 1) Mushroom Gorge Toad's Factory Daisy Circuit Koopa Cape Maple Treeway Mario Kart 7 Toad Circuit (Wave 1) Shy Guy Bazaar Rock Rock Mountain Wario Shipyard Bowser's Castle Rainbow Road Mario Kart Tour (original courses) Ninja Hideaway (Wave 1) Merry Mountain Mario Kart Tour (cities) -- first course of each cup Tokyo Blur (Wave 1) Paris Promenade (Wave 1) New York Minute London Loop Vancouver Velocity Los Angeles Laps Berlin Byways Sydney Sprint Singapore Speedway TBD city (Bangkok?) TBD city (Amsterdam?) TBD city
Assuming Tour tracks are guaranteed... We're likely seeing only one variant of the SNES tracks in tour. So... One Mario Circuit, one Ghost Valley, one Choco Island, one Vanilla Lake (which might have been leaked already), and one Koopa Troopa Beach. (Donut Plains and Rainbow Road are not eligible as the former already has a variant in and the latter got in through the DLC.) From N64, it'd be Koopa Troopa Beach, Kalimari Desert, and Frappe Snowland. From Super Circuit, one Bowser's Castle variant, Cheep Cheep Island, and Sunset Wilds. From Double Dash, Dino Dino Jungle (which might have been leaked already). From DS, we'd get Luigi's Mansion, Waluigi Pinball, DK Pass, and Airship Fortress. From Wii, we'd get DK Summit and Maple Treeway. From 3DS, we'd get Daisy Hills, Cheep Cheep Lagoon, Shy Guy Bazaar, Mario Circuit, Rock Rock Mountain, Wario Shipyard, Rosalina's Ice World, Bowser's Castle, and Rainbow Road. And we're likely all nine unique Tour tracks (tracks with multiple variants use only one) that hasn't been shown yet. If we take Tour datamining into account, then it is also possible that we could get a combination of N64 Luigi Raceway, N64 Moo Moo Farm, GCN DK Mountain, DS Delfino Square, Wii Mushroom Gorge, Wii Toad's Factory, or Maka Wuhu for the leftover spots, but that is much less certain.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they skipped out on a lot of fan favorites. Like, they need at least some retro tracks to sell the next mainline game.
Next game might be new tracks only. There’s a lot of rumors about the next game including other Nintendo franchises, so we might see more tracks from other Nintendo games.
I know a lot of people say there should be a rainbow road cup, but realistically that’d be a PR disaster. Like, by the time the fifth pair of cups is announced, people would guess the secret just based on having no rainbow roads yet.
"In terms of the good Mario Kart games..." I really did laugh out loud at this. Always cracks me up that a lot of these prediction videos try to tell you to keep on giving Tour a chance "you just have to keep trying, eventually it will click!" I can't. No matter how many times I try, using Touch controls for Mario Kart doesn't feel natural. Plus it feels like the equivalency of using bumpers in bowling the way the Kart bumps off the invisible walls on the edge of the tracks. Don't get me wrong. I'm hoping a lot of the other parts of Tour get implemented into future Mario Karts - events, characters, costumes, events, etc. I'm just happy that we'll have an opportunity to try out most, if not all the Tour courses on the Switch with standard controls
@@SourBoy Lol. I can't really say for sure, honestly. When I do play Tour, I get 1st in a race most of the time but I never get the sense I earned it like I do when playing a console version of Mario Kart. Feels like it's more luck or on a default easy mode. It's mainly personal preference. I've never been a fan of touch controls for traditional style video games. Good for the ones that do enjoy it. I'd just rather spend my time with playing something else.
@@Thefly-vh8tv that’s honestly fair, I’m rather well acquainted with mobile games in general simply because I don’t have very much free time nowadays and although getting first place isn’t the most challenging thing in the world, getting enough points to get the Shines is and is definitely fulfilling at least in my opinion. To each their own after all
@@SourBoy Absolutely. It may not be for me but I am happy to see Nintendo continue to support Tour for the players that do enjoy it. And again, I really do hope that they use a lot of what they have done in Tour and apply to the next Mario Kart game.
I've just realised something: Assuming everything you say is correct, if we add up all the missing plus the two missing themes from Super Mario Kart (Ghost Valley and Chocolate Island) we get again 48. Which means we could be getting another DLC down the line which would give us every single Mario Kart track ever (if we count all the SMK tracks that share the theme as one).
Idk about all of the tour tracks. I think they’re layering tour on hard early on but will lay off on it a bit going forward. I expect tour will definitely get the most tracks though. I’d estimate about 8-10 tracks from tour.
@@connorutt9 literally every track is ported from tour. There’s no difference between porting a tour exclusive track and one from another game that they remade in tour.
@Hello there I’m more just saying that they’re not going to make any tracks from scratch for the DLC. It’s all just going to be ports of the tour version.
The more people bring up the all rainbow road spiny cup the more realistic it seems especially when u did it since u mentioned how weird it was with the extra 3rd tour track
@@melontoad The datamine isn’t 100% confirmed. Have you looked at Wave 6’s datamine where we saw 3 nitros and 2 in the same cup. To me, that’s incomplete development and that they have between now and then to confirm it. We won’t know into the end of next year, but Nintendo has plenty of time to change plans
I hope for SNES Mario Circuit 2, DS Mario Circuit, and Daisy Circuit, not because I like them, but because I believe 100 percent they will put more of the generic Circuit/Raceway tracks in the DLC, like with Toad Circuit, so I'd rather have those 3 since they're the best of the bunch Also I do really like Daisy Circuit
Nice list I think you ought to rethink wario coliseum an the bowser castles an airship fortress those stages r quite interesting an have a high chance of appearing plus I’m pretty sure a few of those fit the Mario kart 8s antigravity theme
One thing to note is I think there will be bias towards tracks that can easily have glide ramps, underwater parts, and zero gravity. Otherwise, the game balance would be massively shifted.
You might feel fucking crazy with your Spiky Shell Rainbow Cup theory but I just want you to know I had the exact same thought when I first saw the lineup
39:20 This part would look *so good* it wouldn't even be funny. Imagine what they could do with those rings! Maybe even a gravity change or flight section. Also my favorite rainbow road :)
A tip, you contradict yourself a lot: "I think this has a good chance of coming back" into "I don't see it happening" a lot. Small things that I find in many smaller youtubers before they get more confident in their narrating. Good luck
Mario kart wii was the mario kart game I grew up with. I’d love for them to bring back maple tree high way and rainbow road. If you complain about the rainbow roads in mario kart 8 being hard, wait until you try the rainbow road in wii.
While I think all the rainbow roads will be in this dlc, I don’t think they’ll be in the same cup for one main reason: The music in each of the rainbow roads are pretty similar. So either they’ll change the music (which would have a ton of backlash) or they’ll release it over all of the waves.
I don't think Wario Stadium and Sherbet Land are that likely, since we already have retro tracks with those same names in the vanilla version of the original game. But that's just my assumption. SNES tracks I would rule out any other Donut Plains and Mario Circuits and probably Bowser Castles since Nintendo keeps neglecting them. Wouldn't rule out Choco Island entirely, since Mario Kart DS already had both one of them and Choco Mountain featured as retro tracks. N64 tracks would definitely be reused from past games, but like I said: Wario Stadium, despite being the only N64 track not given the retro treatment isn't very likely because of the name. Same with Sherbet Land, though Frappe Snowland would actually be possible. Luigi's Raceway I'm not so sure of. DK Jungle Parkway may or may not be that unlikely, but I do believe Koopa Troopa Beach would be likely, since you'd be surprised at how many people care about that track. GBA tracks would have a lot of potential, seeing what they've already done with them in Mario Kart 8. Sunset Wilds I can see getting featured with its inclusion in Tour. They could include one of the Bowser Castle tracks, as well as one of the beach tracks and/or one of the ghost tracks give or take. There would be some great potential for Riverside Park or Lakeside Park, especially the latter. And of course there's also Yoshi's Desert. These tracks I can see being likely candidates, but I doubt they would include any duplicates. Rainbow Road is probably unlikely in this case, but who knows? Gamecube tracks haven't been featured yet, but it's possible we may see a few soon. Dino Dino Jungle and Daisy Cruiser would be easy picks, since they're already in Tour. Mushroom Bridge may be likely too, but I would prefer if they used Mushroom City instead, since it stands out more. DK Mountain is a plausible choice. Wario Colosseum would be interesting but I don't know if they'll do it. Peach Beach, err... not really. Luigi Circuit and Mario Circuit I don't see coming in since we already have Yoshi Circuit and I don't know about Waluigi Stadium, but it's probably more likely than Wario's Colosseum perhaps. WIth DS tracks, I would love to see Luigi's Mansion, Defino Square and Airship Fortress, though they would be the most likely to get in. I'm not really interested in Desert Hills. Mario Circuit would be interesting, I mean it's certainly more intriguing than Figure-8 Circuit. Yoshi Falls, nah. DK Pass, maybe. Bowser Castle and Rainbow Road, I don't really know,, probably not. Tracks I'm most interested in seeing from Wii would be Koopa Cape, Maple Treeway, Toad's Factory and DK Snowboard Cross. Moonview Highway is doubtful. Luigi Circuit and Mario Circuit would be weak additions in my opinion. Daisy Circuit, I'm probably not holding my breath. Dry Dry Ruins I'd like to see, but we already have a Dry Dry Desert. Bowser Castle and Rainbow Road would be cool additions if they can make them work. The 3DS entry has the most love from Nintendo with so many inclusions in Mario Kart Tour. Daisy Hills, Shy Guy Bazaar, Alpine Pass and Wario's Galleon would all be likely I guess. Same with Rosalina's Ice World. Cheep Cheep Cape not so much. Mario Circuit I would've preferred over Toad Circuit, but is now sadly unlikely. The Wuhu tracks I'm up in the air about since Nintendo seems to disregard Miis nowadays, but if they did, they'd probably stick with one and my pick would be Wuhu Mountain Loop. Bowser's Castle and Rainbow Road I can see coming since they're both featured in Tour and both have their fans, Rainbow Road especially. Mario Kart Tour appears to get the most featured in the booster pass, with two city tracks and one unique track for each wave. So at this rate, they'll probably include all of the ones released so far. But after wave 3, maybe they'll include original tracks that either haven't been featured yet and/or ones that will release in Tour in the meantime.
If they included Moo Moo Farm, they would end up reusing the theme for Yoshi Valley, since they share the same song. Though I do hope that if they include Wario Stadium (Which is not likely since they already have a Wario Stadium from the DS already featured) they should give it its own remix instead of recycling the remix from Royal Raceway. That goes for any future plans for remaking the track if they ever do go forward with it.
I would guess only 2 SNES tracks and 13 Tour tracks because i think they will be doing the same thing with merry mountain as they did with ninja hideaway
When you realize thanks to the DLC you will get a compilation experience. 4 DS Tracks & 5 N64 Tracks for example from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe & DLC together. So you can finally relive your moments of Mario Kart history. (Obviously there will be more tracks released as time goes on from all the games so this compilation will expand further) P.S. Plus, you don’t need the original hardware / games to experience retro Mario Kart in this big expansion. also we only need to pay $25 for DLC and not $60 for a new game.
@@melontoad With me, if people don’t like it they can simply own a Wii & the game. For everyone else who don’t want to play on original hardware, just want to relive Mariokart history, and want extra tracks this is for us & them. Others can simply just play the old games, most people don’t want to do that 😅 Having all these amazing maps in one place of convenience is a great thing for me personally.
Guessing that all tour tracks would come... you would probably have to take 1 track from mario kart wii, ds, and 7 as tour will probably get around 3 new city tracks in the span of 2 years
Out of all the track predictions list I’ve seen, this one is the one I agree with the most. I would love to see all the rainbow roads together. It was the first thing I said to my brother when we saw the announcement for the booster tracks.
I'm excited to see what happens... but kinda looks like all the stages are being ripped straight from tour. Probably why the price is so low... all the remastering is already done.
Based off Cocunut Mall and Sky Garden for example, it definitely isn't exclusively whats in Tour The thing is tho, based off datamines we can safely assume anything added to the Booster Pack not in Tour is being added to Tour sooner or later So in a way, regardless of origin point they're designing one track for two games
One minor thing I disagree with is that while both retro rainbow roads in MK8DX are absolutely awful, its nitro rainbow road actually holds up as super fun, appropriately difficult, and gives great races at all levels of play. I can still see people's problem with it at a conceptual level but it functions great so who cares?

This is the best Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pack analysis/prediction video I have seen out of four or five of them.
Good work with a thoughtful analysis looking at each game.
GBA bowsers castle 4 has to be done the only gba bowsers castle not remade officially
The theory of the Blue Shell cup is a must. See the game out with a compilation of the hardest MK tracks of all time.
I also agree with how they'll select courses from each game to balance it out
Heck yeah! I was thinking of the Spiny Cup being entirely Rainbow Roads too! Glad someone else feels the same!
Whenever someone predicts an all Rainbow Road Spiny Cup i get pissed, because it's so f*cking absurdly stupid and unlikely
@@melontoad
Honestly, after having about half a year to consider it since posting my initial comment, yeah, I agree with you.
While I don’t agree to such an aggressive scale, I do now hold the stance that it seems quite unlikely and unbalanced to have the Spiny Cup consist wholly of Rainbow Roads.
@@BazTheDryBonesFan sorry if i was so aggressive.😅 I was just mad seeing another all Rainbow Road spiny cup for the 100th time
Wii Mushroom Gorge is going to happen on wave 2 tracks
This aged very well
Bro is a god at predicting
I agree with some of your predictions and disagree with others. Personally what I'm expecting (not necessarily what I want) is:
I think we'll get the remaining 8 original tracks from Tour too, plus around 2-3 unannounced city tracks (I think most likely candidates are Rio de Janeiro, Cairo, Beijing, Rome, and Madrid). So of the remaining 40, I think only 29-30 will be from games that aren't Tour.
Super Mario Kart: Vanilla Lake, Mario Circuit
Mario Kart 64: Bowser's Castle, Kalimari Desrt, Wario Stadium, Koopa Troopa Beach, Frappe Snowland
Mario Kart Super Circuit: Cheap Cheap Island, Lakeside Park, Sunset Wilds, Luigi Circuit
Double Dash: Mushroom Bridge, DK Mountain, Daisy Cruiser, Dino Dino Jungle
DS: Yoshi Falls, Luigi's Mansion, Delfino Square, Waluigi Pinball, Airship Fortress, Peach Gardens, Bowser's Castle
Wii: Mushroom Gorge, Toad's Factory, DK Summit, Koopa Cape, Maple Treeway, Rainbow Road
7: Shy Guy Bazaar, Daisy Hills, Wario Shipyard, Rock Rock Mountain, Maka Wuhu, Rosalina's Ice World, Rainbow Road
Aside from the Tour tracks (which I think will take up 10 or 11 of the remaining 40 slots), the courses I picked add up to a total of 35 courses. While I think we'll only have 29 or 30 slots from retro games available, which means I included around 5 or 6 more courses than can appear in the DLC. However, it's too hard to predict the exact courses, so the 6 or 7 give me some margin of error.
We know what Tour city tracks we’re getting. Amsterdam and Bangkok.
Worth the 40 minutes ;)
the track would still work without halfpipes lol
@@Roxleton but it kinda gets rid of dk summits gimmick so....
This aged like milk, as the wave 3 trailer shows the return of half pipes in the DLC
@@mevm2890 so happy that it aged poorly because that most likely means dk summit
i think the idea of a rainbow road cup is very unlikely but a good idea
I honestly hope that no other track from the SNES Mario Kart makes it in the booster course pack
Maybe one of the Koopa Beach tracks beacuse the music is a bang. Imo
I could see vanilla lake coming back (it was in tour and hasn’t been remade in a mainline Mario kart game yet) and Mario circuit 1 (since it’s the first Mario kart track.
So far, Vanilla Lake and Mario Circuit could be coming to 8DX, there’s a banner of Vanilla Lake in Coconut Mall, and the leak features both courses
was saying the exact same prediction about the spiny shell cup to my friends lol
this is prob the most accurate prediction videos to date. All we have to do now is wait and see
Sky Garden isn’t Sky Garden.
@@harrybest2041
Right, but all other games besides 8 reuse music. It seems they are aiming for uniqueness in their tracks
Hot take: Spiny Shell Cup having only Rainbow Road is cringe
True.
You're the only person i've seen saying this. I 100% agree. It's just so absurdly stupid and unlikely at the same time
love these type of videos, looking forward to more!
All things considered, here are the 48 tracks I think have a good chance of coming to this DLC:
Super Mario Kart
Mario Circuit 2
Ghost Valley 2
Vanilla Lake 1

Assuming Tour tracks are guaranteed...
We're likely seeing only one variant of the SNES tracks in tour. So...
One Mario Circuit, one Ghost Valley, one Choco Island, one Vanilla Lake (which might have been leaked already), and one Koopa Troopa Beach. (Donut Plains and Rainbow Road are not eligible as the former already has a variant in and the latter got in through the DLC.)
From N64, it'd be Koopa Troopa Beach, Kalimari Desert, and Frappe Snowland.
New info about wii, mushroom gorge
@@thenudgyhampter6969 Yeah. Mushroom Gorge looking extremely likely now.
Wii dry dry ruins is a possibility as well based on datamines iirc
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they skipped out on a lot of fan favorites. Like, they need at least some retro tracks to sell the next mainline game.
Next game might be new tracks only. There’s a lot of rumors about the next game including other Nintendo franchises, so we might see more tracks from other Nintendo games.

I know a lot of people say there should be a rainbow road cup, but realistically that’d be a PR disaster. Like, by the time the fifth pair of cups is announced, people would guess the secret just based on having no rainbow roads yet.
Rock Rock Mountain goes in the Rock Mushroom Cup ;)
No offense but that kind of sounds like your just bad at the game
@@Thefly-vh8tv Those characters and the reverse tracks would be awesome in a console Mario Kart game
I've just realised something:
Assuming everything you say is correct, if we add up all the missing plus the two missing themes from Super Mario Kart (Ghost Valley and Chocolate Island) we get again 48.
Which means we could be getting another DLC down the line which would give us every single Mario Kart track ever (if we count all the SMK tracks that share the theme as one).
SNES Vanilla Lake might be confirmed already as there's a poster visible for it on Coconut Mall
Idk about all of the tour tracks. I think they’re layering tour on hard early on but will lay off on it a bit going forward. I expect tour will definitely get the most tracks though. I’d estimate about 8-10 tracks from tour.
theres no reason not to put them all as they want all of them bc its easy and they could be retro tracks going forward.
@@connorutt9 literally every track is ported from tour. There’s no difference between porting a tour exclusive track and one from another game that they remade in tour.
@Hello there I’m more just saying that they’re not going to make any tracks from scratch for the DLC. It’s all just going to be ports of the tour version.
try 18 to 22 from Tour lmfao
The more people bring up the all rainbow road spiny cup the more realistic it seems especially when u did it since u mentioned how weird it was with the extra 3rd tour track
They could do bowser castles and maybe a boo themed track for Halloween!
Well seeing at leaks it appears GCN Waluigi Stadium is coming, so now I hope we do not get N64 Wario Stadium
I think DK’s Jungle Parkway might make it to the DLC. I don’t see why we shouldn’t have another DK course like that
Tbh I think DK Summit is more likely
No more n64 tracks😂
@@melontoad The datamine isn’t 100% confirmed. Have you looked at Wave 6’s datamine where we saw 3 nitros and 2 in the same cup. To me, that’s incomplete development and that they have between now and then to confirm it. We won’t know into the end of next year, but Nintendo has plenty of time to change plans
@@ETHAN-is3li there have been 8 mktour tracks leaked. 3 will be city tracks and the other 5 are nitros
@@melontoad Where did you find that evidence?
If Mario Kart Tour is 9… Then the Tour tracks being added to 8 is the opposite of retro tracks, it's future tracks
I hope for SNES Mario Circuit 2, DS Mario Circuit, and Daisy Circuit, not because I like them, but because I believe 100 percent they will put more of the generic Circuit/Raceway tracks in the DLC, like with Toad Circuit, so I'd rather have those 3 since they're the best of the bunch
Also I do really like Daisy Circuit
Nice list I think you ought to rethink wario coliseum an the bowser castles an airship fortress those stages r quite interesting an have a high chance of appearing plus I’m pretty sure a few of those fit the Mario kart 8s antigravity theme
One thing to note is I think there will be bias towards tracks that can easily have glide ramps, underwater parts, and zero gravity. Otherwise, the game balance would be massively shifted.
You might feel fucking crazy with your Spiky Shell Rainbow Cup theory but I just want you to know I had the exact same thought when I first saw the lineup
39:20
This part would look *so good* it wouldn't even be funny.
Is it just me or did you not end up coming back to explain the DK tracks and the bowser castle tracks!
I would love to see the N64 Bowser castle to return and also 1 of the Ghost valley tracks
Something I doubt Nintendo would do but if they wanna surprise us it would be so cool if they brought tracks over from the arcade GP games.

While I think all the rainbow roads will be in this dlc, I don’t think they’ll be in the same cup for one main reason:
The music in each of the rainbow roads are pretty similar.
So either they’ll change the music (which would have a ton of backlash) or they’ll release it over all of the waves.
So I feel like all tracks coming were from mario kart tour, Weren't all of the current tracks in there?
Honestly all I want is banshee boardwalk cause the soundtrack is an absolute banger
for Luigi's race way thay could add antigravity walls like toads turnpike
I think that will come at 2023? For the dlc?
Why did you say there is 12 tracks from MK Tour ? I count 11 🤔
Is it based on your opinion that "what YOU think what Nintendo will bring back"?
If they included Moo Moo Farm, they would end up reusing the theme for Yoshi Valley, since they share the same song.
Though I do hope that if they include Wario Stadium (Which is not likely since they already have a Wario Stadium from the DS already featured) they should give it its own remix instead of recycling the remix from Royal Raceway. That goes for any future plans for remaking the track if they ever do go forward with it.
I would guess only 2 SNES tracks and 13 Tour tracks because i think they will be doing the same thing with merry mountain as they did with ninja hideaway
peach gardens is coming back wooo
I personal like the Will version Mario Circuit, that's just my own opinion.
If they bring back bowser’s castle ds they should make the top path of the cylinder a glider and the bottom of the cylinder a boost pad
When you realize thanks to the DLC you will get a compilation experience.
4 DS Tracks & 5 N64 Tracks for example from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe & DLC together. So you can finally relive your moments of Mario Kart history.
(Obviously there will be more tracks released as time goes on from all the games so this compilation will expand further)
P.S. Plus, you don’t need the original hardware / games to experience retro Mario Kart in this big expansion.
also we only need to pay $25 for DLC and not $60 for a new game.
We will habe 9 Wii tracks after DLC lol

With me, if people don’t like it they can simply own a Wii & the game. For everyone else who don’t want to play on original hardware, just want to relive Mariokart history, and want extra tracks this is for us & them. Others can simply just play the old games, most people don’t want to do that 😅

God it’ll be so funny when dk jungle parkway gets into the game
It'll be so funny when dk jungle parkway will be forgotten for eternity, cause it sucks
I would change that third SNES track and instead getting Wario Colosseum
Guessing that all tour tracks would come... you would probably have to take 1 track from mario kart wii, ds, and 7 as tour will probably get around 3 new city tracks in the span of 2 years
My entire online friend group love Koopa Troopa Beach and I don’t understand why! It’s average
it would be nice to have a double dash 2
Its either DK Pass or DK Summit, one of ems not getting in
Out of all the track predictions list I’ve seen, this one is the one I agree with the most. I would love to see all the rainbow roads together. It was the first thing I said to my brother when we saw the announcement for the booster tracks.
I'm excited to see what happens... but kinda looks like all the stages are being ripped straight from tour. Probably why the price is so low... all the remastering is already done.
Based off Cocunut Mall and Sky Garden for example, it definitely isn't exclusively whats in Tour
The thing is tho, based off datamines we can safely assume anything added to the Booster Pack not in Tour is being added to Tour sooner or later
So in a way, regardless of origin point they're designing one track for two games
