The way the audio pops at 2:44, when the song picks up, is done remarkably well! This was one of the absolute best parts of the movie. It almost makes me want them to do a sequel, being the traditional Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, with another follow up sequel being Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. Going into this movie I didn’t think I’d say it, but after finishing it I can confidently say that I wouldn’t mind seeing more of Chalamet’s Wonka. I don’t really think it’s in the cards anyway, but they’ve captured something special with this film, and with it comes great potential!
It’s better if the sequel was a Great Glass Elevator Adaptation because we already know the traditional Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Story. For the opening credits not only I want to see flashback drawings of Wonka I also want to see drawings of the story we all know, you know Wonka invites five lucky people in his factory, Charlie finds the last golden ticket, the four rotten kids meet their demises and Charlie winning the grand prize and being selected as Wonka’s heir.
The chap who made it has definitely expressed a wish to do at least one more film, as there are about 25 years between this one and the original. Lots of time to fill ❤
I think they should make one more with Chalamet to fill in what may have happened between this one and Wilder’s. Lots of time to fill, and what’s the journey between this Wonka and the more edgy, slightly sinister Wilder Wonka? Some interesting things could happen. Haven’t read the books, so I don’t know.

Absolutely a masterpiece that ending when they showed the castle transform into the 1970s set Willy Wonka's Gene Wilder's Factory I just lost it I broke into tears thank you Hollywood for finally doing this franchise Justice❤❤❤❤
I've never really liked 'Pure Imagination' until this film. How it fits in context with Noodle's want to see her mom was a great touch. It really helped the inclusion of the song move beyond just homage to the 1971 film to something that feels like it fits within the current film at hand. The film was really delightful. Loved Paul King's vision for it.
I always felt that 'Pure Imagination' was one of those songs you don't appreciate until you're older. I remember when I was younger and watched the original, I thought the song itself was boring and the only saving grace for it was the setting. It wasn't until I got older I learned to love it and the message. Though i will admit, as much as i love Gene Wilder, I actually prefer this version. I think it's the increase in the tempo.
@@RedHall I also loved Chalamet's version of Pure Imagination, and it's arrangement makes sense too. Chalamet is a younger, more hopeful and optimistic Wonka. Wilder is an older, sadder, and tired Wonka. His version of Pure Imagination is more wistful. He still believes in it but he is human and has worked on his candy a long time. So he was now looking for his successor.
Like some of you, I kinda scoffed when this was announced. Had thoughts of "Hollywood is running out of ideas" which is a reasonable thought to have in some circumstances, but this blew me away when I sat down in the theater to see it. There is so much purity, humanity, and big-heartedness in this film. The writers etc cared deeply about the source material while also telling a fun and colorful original story. And Timothee was simply brilliant as Willy Wonka. Maybe he doesn't have the edge that Gene had, but he's got all of the heart and he's so wholesome and easy to root for. This might go down as one of my favorite movies of all time. I've seen it in the theater 3 times and am planning to go a 4th time this week. I need to enter a world of pure imagination one more time before the physical release
I loved the way Wonka looked at Noodle when she was starting to walk towards her mother, then when she looked back at him he smiled, happy for her. I loved that part, it was a beautiful detail to Wonka’s kind, caring personality. Wonka and Timothée are both such good people with good hearts. Timothée did a good job as his own version of Willy Wonka, so as Gene Wilder (I didn’t watch his movie yet…..) and Johnny Depp’s version of the fictional character. I wish I could taste what Wonka’s chocolate taste one day, I was literally craving chocolate after watching it 3 times- Anywayyyyyyy I love Timothée’s movies and so as this one, this one is amazing and so as his singing!! I hope that he gets what he wants and stars in good movies, keep going Timothée!

@@TheRealFrandudenah they should give it an original sequel to continue young willy's adventures and ofcourse I wanna see more of timothee as wonka he nails the role
I have had this song on repeat for weeks. It literally is like a drug, I can't stop. It makes me feel so happy yet inspired at the same time.
This song still makes me tear up. 😭
Seriously the most perfect way to end the movie. 👏 Obsessed with this song.
I was so pleasantly surprised how good this was timothee was truly perfect to play a younger Wonka
My children and love this film. My son does especially. I think it actually helps him stay grounded when he struggles. Thank you Timothy Chalamet and whoever else made this possible!

This brought back whimsical and childlike wonder for me dawg ngl.
Shittake
👏🏽well said
Wonka should be on youtube condensed, aquaman lost kingdom too. WONKA 2023 GREAT SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pure Imagination Timothee did a great job.
I wish I could taste what Wonka’s chocolate taste one day, I was literally craving chocolate after watching it 3 times-
Anywayyyyyyy I love Timothée’s movies and so as this one, this one is amazing and so as his singing!!
I hope that he gets what he wants and stars in good movies, keep going Timothée!
This film is a masterpiece
My mother and I saw this in theaters and the moment this part came up she started crying as she thought about her childhood when she first saw Willy Wonka.
My little daughter is almost 5 but she loved wonka much more than wish! She loves this song and she still talks about willy wonka! I wanna watch it again ❤
Took my 4 year old daughter she's still talkin bout it and keeps saying when is it on dvd daddy and don't worry it will be brought lol 😆
@@cooldude2512 awww sooo cute! We hope it will come fast on DVD! My little one ask me everyday to watch wonka but i cannot go everyday to the cinema 😅
Glad to hear that there are other parents with the same sweet situation! We have sweet daugthers 🤩

I cried. 1:22 when his voice crack from emotions and him seeing the mother love he wants back so badly hurts me 😭
Why is timothee chalamet so good at singing pure imagination 😮
2:53 “it’s a ruined castle.” Bro is ruining the vibe 💀 EDIT: Thanks for 170 likes guys I appreciate it 😀
he’s not into the song 💀
He said "It’s a ruined cost."

So amazing that film was. I hope there can be a sequel about the factory being built and how the oompa loompas moved in.
me too the film is only recent so once the film isnt so recent anymore maybe a sequel will be discussed
There is no doubt in my mind that if Gene Wilder were alive today, he would have been proud of what they accomplished. It’s not just a film but a love story to the tale of Willy Wonka and a tribute to the great Gene Wilder
he would of been proud of timothee he wpukd be like I am very proud of you timothee
This scene actually almost made me cry the 1st time I saw it; not a lot of movies can actually make me do that, so well done!
Why I hope your a guy
I have this song in my head for hours even days again and again
Just shows how catchy the song is!!
Make us all think we are Willy Wonka
As he says:
We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams!
I grew up watching the classic movie with the great Gene Wilder as Willie Wonka. that I saw on my parents' old Betamax C20, where I heard this melody for the first time... And to see now, at 48 years old, this prequel that breathes and feeds on this classic film, which brings me this song again with the one I grew up in my imagination... It's simply magical
"In a world of pure imagination!"
"It's a ruined castle."
That makes me crack up everytime.
i cannot describe how much i love this song and how happy it makes meeee💗💗💗💗💗
Timothee chalamet is cute as hell as wonka his voice is calming and his smile is perfect xx❤❤❤❤ and my best friend sees him as a comfort when she is really down and i never thought about having a fav actor to be a comfort she says he cheers her up and yeah but he is soooo cute ❤❤❤❤
My favorite song
Which one do you like more? This one or the Gene Wilder version?
I say both
@@user-it8he7oj4k Mark Klockenkempers version probably
🍫
When this started to play, I knew they were gunning for the grand, magical and satisfying ending I had in my mind. Happy to say that I wasn’t disappointed.
Gene Wilder would be so proud of Timothee
Absolutely. I think he’s looking down and smiling right now
3:02 i love that little laughter from him while he was singing, so happy
I wonder what Gene Wilder would say if he heard this.
Yeah I think he would be imbarresed
Gene Wilder was a fun and crazy Willy Wonka, and Johnny Depp was a cool and wacky Willy Wonka. But Timothee Chalamet is a better Willy Wonka.
But he’s dead R.I.P
I don’t know if Gene would’ve like this,he said himself he didn’t want a sequel or prequel to Wonka,so they waited after he died to announce the new movie
Timothee Chalamet did great. As well as Mark Klockenkempers version.
I love Timothee Chalamet ❤️
I wish I had seen this movie in theaters!
ngl. teary eyed.
I know they probably used special effects for this sequence but they were just so good! The look of the Chocolate Factory is so mesmerizing and looks like the original but finds ways to make it their own.
Honestly I loved the original as a kid. As an adult I found this absolutely gorgeous and answered questions I always had as a kid about Wonka.
I waited the whole movie for this song, and what a way to end it with this one!
just shows wonka was always a pure boy who just wanted to make the world better. nothing changed, he stayed the same even after getting famous. why can't more people be like that? XD
The bond between Noodle and Wonka is the core of the story..what a beautiful movie it is.. I will never underestimate Paul King
Watching this in cinema and it had me to tears.
Fr bro me and my bro were crying
I’m smiling throughout…the music is so phenomenal…
this scene made me cry. i felt the sincerity of him singing this song.
I forgot abt how sad and happy this part got in the movie😭❤️
my birthday was yesterday, and we went to the theaters to watch Wonka. it was really cheesy at some moments, but i loved it anyway. timothee did a great job, as well as everyone else
Love the top hat!! Timothe'e is so fresh & talented. Would love to give him a big hug.❤❤❤❤❤
Timothée Chamalet voice is so magical in Wonka!
i totally didn't cry in the cinema when I saw this for the first time
Timothée Chalamet as Wonka is the perfect choice❤

I LOVE THIS SONG !!! I IMAGINED IT AS A MEMORY OF MY CHILDHOOD❤❤❤❤🥺😃😃🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
Got instant chills when this song first played in the theater. Perfect song to end the film on.🍭🍫🍬
12/10, best movie to come out of 2023, no question
What I love about this movie is that they never really explain how his chocolate magical properties, its not even addressed by the other cast they just say its "great chocolate" despite knowing they are made out of fantastical/impossible ingredients. The magic behind of the chocolate isn't the point, its the love behind the chocolate that really give it is true magic.
The wonka movie by timothee chalamet needs a sequel
fr
I agree
@@undercover_idiot true
@@undercover_idiot Paul King said himself he has interest in making another wonka movie if he can find the right story I really do hope comes up with something
@taliagmail.com2005 me too and I hope timothee chalamet will be in it
The reunion of Noodles and her mother made me cry on the inside.
It kinda reminded me of the end of Charlie and the chocolate factory where Charlie reunited Willy with his dad
@@TheComicbookguy22but this movie feels like a prequel to the original movie.
