Looks like a mountain lion, large cats will often tuck their tails to appear smaller and less conspicuous. There are mountain lions in WV, some 10 years ago we sighted one crossing Scenic Hwy 150 in Pocahontas County.
Well it's looks to big for Bobcat and to Dark for mountain lion? Like others have said try putting several trailcams in the area and hope for the best.

It seems to have a long tail tucked close and if so mountain lion otherwise bobcat/lynxx

Teenage Mountain lions will wander Hundreds of miles looking for a Mate.
We got em from out west, in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa.
Absolutely possible this Kitty is nosing around for a Mate.
The last time we rode there, a mountain lion ran directly across in front of us.

that was a mountain lion if you look the tail is in the shadow of the leg and right on top of the ground
bobcats can get pretty big, not often, but they can get up over 40 lbs
If i had to guess I’d say its a bobcat.could be a mountain lion though it’s hard to tell
Cougar/Mountain lion... very large tail, dragging behind him, silhouetting his rear legs... creature of opportunity... probably stalking you guys, but because there are two of you, he won't take a chance getting closer

Mountain lion. It looks just to big to be a bobcat. I seen lots of bobcats but not that big. I’m not saying there is no way it not a bobcat but I’m with people that said it looks like a mountain lion with it tail tucked.
Its a small female mountain lion. Maybe 85 pounds. I have software that identifies movement and it outlined everything even its hard to see tail.

Have never seen a mountain lion in the wild, but I have to think that's what it was. If that was a Bobcat never go back there again. Stay Away.

I’m no expert by any means but looks like a bobcat. FWIW, I’ve had good luck with LTE trail cameras.
I use the command, pro cameras, and I’ve had Bobcat on my cameras before, this one just seemed pretty big for as far away as it was.
