This is the story of the birth of modern chess - when the possibilities of chess as an art, a science and a sport all converged.
The point of convergence was a young boy from Louisiana named Paul Morphy. At a time when America was seen as a backwoods nation with little cultural history and even less intellectual impetus, at a time when chess was considered the exclusive property of a few European countries, at a time when the game was played successfully by a handful of men wizened by years, Paul Morphy, in the brief span of 19 months and with seemingly little effort, defeated conclusively every player he met.
While today few non chess players even know his name, he was one of the most famous celebrities of his time and within the hallowed halls of the chess playing community he is considered by some as the greatest chess player of all time.
But this diminutive, unassuming boy rose to fame almost out of nowhere and once he secured his place in history, he retired back into that hazy unknown, shunning the public eye, never again to play serious chess. Not only was he one of great practitioners of the game, but also one of it's greatest enigmas. He's been given the sobriquet, The Pride and Sorrow of Chess.

The fact that Agadmator is able to flow so smoothly and so naturally on a 14 minutes video in one take is trully astonishing good stuff.

@Anton Anton Virgin UA-camrs: Spend hours recording content, spend days doing painstaking editing just to make a 10 minute video.

@Anton Anton it's not qboutthe game analysis, it is also about the way the video sounds. Try to talk so fluently in a non-native language during 14 min, on a rather complex topic, and you would probably mess up at some point and getting disturbed, or speaking too loudly, etc. If you tend to be perfectionist, you will either have to do postprod, or record again (probably a mix of both). Agadmator is really smooth on video he barely prepared (text seems not to be pre-written, he probably just has the game on ChessBase with an engine telling 1 or 2 lines, that he manages to check while speaking and without looking weird), which is impressive.

My videos aren't perfect but my recent ones only take 1 take. I've improved a lot since starting 2 months ago. I'm able to do everything for my roughly 11-16 minute videos in about a 35-45 minute time span depending on the game. Your numbers dude down below i have no idea how he's saying it takes hours and days to do anything. But yes, the fact that he's not a native English speaker is truly amazing. Even when he does make little mistakes its not like it will ruin the entire video so he'll post it anyway.

From Forman's Amadeus, sure. In reality, Salieri was praised very highly, while it was sometimes rough for Mozart. He was so "not praised enough" in Vienna that there was this episode of him moving to Prague and working there.
Yes, I live in Prague and know the theatre where Don Giovanni was first played. While significantly reconstructed and all, the theatre still works. It's one of the three stages of Czech National Theatre nowadays.

I started to play chess hanging out in cafes in New Orleans (long time ago) and my buddy Robin use to drag me to Morphy's grave just outside the French Quarter. We would look at games by Morphy and Nimzowitz while buzzing on French Roast coffee. It's kind of scary in the cemetery with the raised graves at night. He was a bit manic but I learned a lot and got to appreciate the games of the American Master from New Orleans.

The Kippings were quite a family. This one was Manchester chess club secretary and didn't do too badly giving Morphy a good game. His son became a very distinguished chemist, Fellow of the Royal Society, researched silicones and is responsible for naming them 'silicones'. His grandson became a famous chess problemist, so famous that chess clubs were named after him, including one I attended briefly, Walsall Kipping. It takes character to offer yourself for ritual slaughter by a rock-star chess genius, in full view of all your peers.

Agadmator, in case you are interested, here is a quick English Lesson on the subtleties of "homage."
In America at least, the H is always silent.
If it is the paying or receiving of acts of respect, you will usually put stress on the first part, as AH-mej.
If it is like a memorial, or film reference, you may say the object is an homage, this time with stress on the second part, as oh-MAHzh.
