I do apologize about the quality of this vid, Joes clip and mine were shot in different qualities which messed with my settings and unfortunately I didn't notice until after UA-cam compression. Back to HD next week!
-Chud
What was the problem with the quality? I thought it was all great. I really appreciate your high-speed chopping skills. And "white-man chopsticks". Classic 🤣!
had you not mentioned it... LOL. video creators forget sometimes most people watch on mobile and even clear 480P looks good or "good enough". Content over quality anyway on this channel! I lived in Korea for 2 years and the scissors made it authentic. 😉
we not talking about Buzz and Woody creeping behind him?
Um boot snake?? 👢 🐍
Mate awesome video, would watch in 240p no problems haha
As a fellow Korean, appreciate this episode! Plating with the white rice and kimchi is a must.
Discovered Korean BBQ when I lived in Hawaii. Of all the Asian cuisines, it's my favorite. Glad to see it get some love here. And now I need to share this with Wifey and remind her I want to do this sometime. 😁
Loving the Weber series, thank you for doing it.
I second that!
I third this!
Most definitely.
@@rtpmedic66 Ditto and i love the chop sticks
Couldn't be happier with the Weber Kettle series!! Please keep it going.
I would love to see that butterfly method. This was hands down the best looking thing you have made so far
Loving this series so entertaining and totally practical!
Perfectly served and prepared. This recipes looks delicious and tasty and easy to understand.
Growing up in a Korean family I both approve of this method and am jealous that I am not eating kalbi at this moment. One of my absolute favorite items. Looks great
Dude, impressive knowledge of kbbq! The key marinades are ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and canned sweet pineapple and lots of msg and/or Miri/cooking wine.
Where the heck has this BBQ channel been hiding from me???
LOVE THIS CHANNEL!!!
Best BBQ channel on UA-cam!
I appreciate that you use all your equipment because I smoke and grill on a Webber kettle, a WSM, a Yoder YS640, an Oklahoma Joe's Bronco drum and my Old County Brazos waiting for myname to come up for a Chud box. Keep it up Bradley great channel bro!
Austin H-mart is legit I love going there on the weekend. The meat section is top notch and well priced definitely worth it. Love the vids
Was waiting for the Joe Yim drop from the moment I saw the thumbnail to the vid. You guys are awesome!!!
11pm (Aus) here when this was uploaded. The perfect bedtime watch.
I love that you are highlighting Joe Yim here. unlike other youtubers who pretend they're experts about all kinda shit. Well done BRAD!
looks quite authentic and yummy! good job
Would love to see you make some birria tacos! Love your videos!!
Awesome show Sir, you do a great job very clear commentary! BB
Wow, love that marinade! A little rice wine vinegar can help tenderize too.
Love the Webber Kettle series, thanks 🍻🍻
Hey Brad, great video and recipe! You gotta love that searing power from the Slow N Sear hey? Especially on this cut! Those looked amazing!
Toss some kimchi on the grill and give it a little char. To me it ups the flavor. Had a Korean family do this while we were sharing dinner over in Seoul. I was hooked on these flavors and if I could move back to South Korea with my family I'd definitely do it. I was down south and took the bullet train up to Seoul. Amazing memories.
My man Cud. Never dissapoints..
When I was in the Army stationed in Korea we would always go out to this place in Seoul, it was called the OB Stadium. It was all the beef and beer you could eat and drink. It cost 17,000 won. About 12 bucks back then. Loved me some Korean food. Oh also use SOJU next time instead of Sake, loved that stuff when I was over there.
I would love!!! To see a summer sausage chudds style, love the show keep em coming and✌
Kickass video, excellent vibe. Going to cook it tonight.
Nice! I love that you had the yellow pickled daikon and wakame salad on the side 🙌
Many a Chud stream night have I asked and dreamt for you to do korean BBQ. Thanks man
Love the Weber kettle series homie!
Built a barbie - simple & hot - made charcoal (as you do) - planted spring onions & garlic, because... used never cook anything - now she wonders what's for dinner.. It's gonna be barbeque, with onions and tasty.. :-) Loive your channel Brad.
That made me so hungry- going to try this in the next couple weeks!
We always add a Little lemon grass and five spice to the marinade as well. So good
Summer is coming! Man I went from starving to feeling sick do to that reminder. Great video as usual!
Looks delish man! I wanna see the video for another day!!
I was wondering when one of you would be doing this style of Beef Short Ribs!
Been married to an Asian for years, and this is the style they are used to!
Cooked many of these this way for years!
Good job Bradley! Been a fan for a while now!
I think I'm going to start my own UA-cam bbqing channel in the near future!
That is such a winner! I'm also going to try that marinade on a pork butt for a really different pulled pork.
With love from Zimbabwe.
Great video and it's awesome to see you repping Korean BBQ. Consider soaking and washing the beef in water. It gets the bone bits off and seems to help with tenderness.
IDEA: Marinade entire short rib plate in Korean marinade and smoke the whole thing as you normally would.
That looks delicious! As others said I too am liking the Weber series as it is the grill I have at the time.
I definitely will be trying this
I really enjoy these videos and I have to admit that it was super exciting to hear Bradley say, "Any bitterness you are going to get from anything that's burned is going to be counteracted by the sweetness in the marinade." I've been saying that for years, but most people are scared to death of char that gets too dark.
Burned fat, that has been soaking in a sweet marinade, is probably not that great for you -- but SWEET JEEBUS is it delicious!!!
Excellent cook. Girlfriend is not a fan of bbq sauce, but that fruit marinade may very well be the ticket. And it will be a great test cook for my brand new Hasty Bake!!!
Those are the best!! Awesome job!!👍😁
I use my Santa maria style webber attachment for short ribs. Helps a ton to not let the sugars burn.
I already know how to cook korean bbq, but finished watching because i was wondering how you cook. It is very authentic, similar to how I marinate, and surprised you have sides with it:)
I also grill it on weber kettle, and it is better than restaurant quality here in DFW area. Well done:)
These are my favorite game day food.
Awesome video definitely gotta try this out
Just picked up a 22” Weber Performer today. Ordered up the SNS Gold Grilling package to go with it. So stoked to get going on some of your kettle recipes!
I’m in California for the week. Had some KBBQ last night but this looks even better. Nothing like meat over live fire. Thanks for the vid Brad!!!
Great vid as always Bradley 👍 would love to see how that bone-in jerky would come out! Sounds like an interesting idea
Awesome vid 👌 I wanna see the bone in beef jerky !!!
The things I’d give for a taste button on UA-cam.
Love those little fellas!!!!
I was curious as to where you got the indirect charcoal insert. I would love one of them.
Yo Brad! I love your content, man. Great work! I'd personally love to see you do a classic Baltimore style Pit Beef Sandwich if you need a video idea! Big lean roast (usually top round) and cooked to a crisp on the outside but still mooing on the inside, sliced paper thin and served on a kaiser roll with a slice of sweet onion and tiger sauce (horseradish, mayo, lemon, Worcestershire and black pepper. I haven't seen any good videos immortalizing the recipe and I'd love for a great channel like you to do it!
Yes please!!!!
Mhmm mhmm mhmm! Those ribs look great!
Much love brother ❤️
You are literally my favorite youtuber right now, love watching every video you put up. thank you!
But where is the snake in my boot?! :(
Wow, just wow!
I like that proper respect was paid to the recipe and the serving of it (including the scissor action!). You did good today.
I'm hoping to see that Korean galbi bone-in jerky sometime on the channel.
Have you given any thoughts of using the pellet smoker for any cooks lately? Also how about some smoked salmon recipes. kids are asking for some salmon after lox and bagels.
I have an h mart by me in Philly. Love that place
I saw the title and said to myself…please be Kalbi lol. I love making these
Great video I love Korean food!
Fun-taste-ic. Quick and easy.
Excellent vlog Brad. Loven your content. I’ve been eyeing off Korean BBQ beef at Costco lately. Think I’m going to try some this weekend on my new Weber 😜 Thanks 🙏 Mike 🇦🇺
Oh man....That looks amazing.
Because I'm a lazy bbrq'r, I used Yoshida's teriyaki sauce instead of Brad's Korean sauce blend on 1/2" thick pork steaks instead of beef ribs. Ok, I get it, totally different deal, but I did use the Chudster's kettle grilling technique he used in this video to cook them. Wow, came out great! Thanks Bradly.
Spotted woody and buzz in the background there 😂
Hey there Bradley....as usual, great content. I consider you one of my goto youtube bbq stars....
Who do you watch???
Me lol
While the Chudmeister failed to give us a "Boot Snake", Joe did have Buzz and Woodie in the backround! The ribs looked awesome too!
We like to do beef short ribs with Cavender's Greek seasoning on the grill. Add some lemon potatoes and Greek green beans (fasolakia) and it makes a killer weeknight family dinner.
look great, need to get some of these on
Smokin' Joe said i should check you out so here i am
Do you just dump the marinade afterwards? I’m not finished with the video yet so not sure if you answered this or not
YES! Double R Ranch has some super thick flanken cut short ribs. they go really good with the Korean marinade in a chud box or no water pan wsm.
Ahhh, great! Got a bunch of those thin cut ribeyes that Costco sells. Gonna Kalbify 'em.
Do you have to marinate it for hours to get it soft? Can’t cook right away?
Looks delicious! 🔥🔥🔥
Also..I noticed you picked up Galangal instead of ginger... They are veeeeeeeery different. Hopefully, you caught that later after tasting it.
Your knife-carrier montage at the beginning always reminds me of Dexter for some reason.
Lesgo bro
Have you ever tried Kagogi ? It’s pretty good
You often find pork spareribs cut the same way, across the bones. There's you yet another video idea.
Also, agree with you 100% about H-Mart. We lived in the DC metro and there were several of them near us. Great grocery chain.
Love that you did this! 🇰🇷…can you do the giant ribs on the offset?
That's crazy how you picked kimchi because I just bought some today to go with the thin beef ribs I'm smoking for the first time
Amazing, i'd like to suggest, same setup, but don't rub off the marinade, put the meat cold side until the marinade cooks onto the meat, then char hot side.
Shoutout Mama Fried 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽
What do you use to clean your butcher block
recently subscribed...really enjoy your vids...but missed the crazy guy in the cowboy hat sayin "I got a snake in my boot" You make great entertianing vids
맛있겠다!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 으아아아아앙아아아아아아악!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this Weber Kettle series! But I was wondering, what is your opinion on installing some type of gasket around the lid of the Weber, whether it’s some silicone or another kind of gasket? I’ve noticed smoke escaping out of the lid of my Weber while I’m smoking something
You will eventually get a good seal after several long smokes, just don't clean it after you get the build up. When ever I do my annual cleaning for the season I don't touch the where the lid mates up with the grill.
Looks awesome!
Now do a porchetta please!
Love your videos! If you get a chance to make it up to north Austin (again), stop by Red Horn brewing, they just put out a "Snake in my Boots" beer. :D
i make something like this..season beef short ribs with rufus teague meat seasoning..marinate overnight..mix bulgogi, toasted seasame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, minced lemongrass, chili pepper and marinate overnight...grill for 3 mins per side
How long did you cook it for
Is there a certain temp you’re looking for?
You should make Carne Asada & pollo with the works. Needs any tips lmk. Mexican chef at your service 👌🏼
Whats the cast iron insert you used?
