Quick Play is just Competitive but without the rewards of playing Competitive. The only benefit is that you can leave the game mode a bit more times than Competitive. That's it.
Quick play has become more toxic and competitive than actual comp💀 having to wait 5 seconds before pulling my team out is the most infuriating part of this stupid dev teams idea of fixing the game
You’re giving Blizzard grace by avoiding the 6v6 convo, but the reality is that “only one right way to play due to 5v5” ruined QP too. Counter-swapping is almost as much a problem in QP, and if the tank throws, everybody gets toxic, because there’s nothing you can do to make up for it. It’s no fun when you’re performing well but you lose because the tank is unkillable. AND THEN YOU CAN’T LEAVE??? RIP Overwatch.
The sooner this game dies the better for people's mental health at this point. It is just in such a sad state that it isn't worth it to even try to play anymore.
i've deadass been having 20x more fun on paladins than current ow2. Genuinley never thought paladins would ever be better but somehow it is rn. Ik for sure when the marvel game comes out its goodbye for good imo.
Give back gold medals for payload, healing,damage etc. Give players a bit of credit at the end of games so it feels more rewarding.
This is happening in every fps. They do not want casual players facing any kind of hardship whatsoever. So ppl who play at any kind of high lvl will nvr get to play casually. Getting good at any game is becoming less and less fun. I dont wanna pub stomp but i dont want to locked into the sweatiest games ever every game.

I have a friend in an area with really bad internet and he gets kicked from games a lot when his internet goes down, it used to be that we could just play qp together but hes uninstalled overwatch because its literally impossible for him to play the game for more than thirty mins without getting suspended

OW1 had a 6-year lifespan and they NEVER had to introduce leaver penalties for QP.
1. I don’t have a lot of time to play. So when I play I wanna have fun and play the game. If Snarkygoblin and Garlicbread wanna be afk and spam voicelines at each other I wanna get out and find another game.
Quickplay feels sweatier than comp. That’s my main gripe. I play quickplay with my not so good friends and they’re constantly faced against people my MMR it feels and they just can’t hang so it feels horrible almost always. I just want Tank to be fun again man. That’s my biggest issue with OW2.
Was playing with friends last night, we were getting rolled one game. I asked if they wanted to leave. They said we can't because of the ban thing. Stayed through the rest of the game and we all got off. This will probably continue to happen and people will stop playing the game
I honestly think they should bring back the score card at the end of the game and voting. Voting and staying in the game after potg was always nice for banter and for grouping after. Now people get cut off talking right after pott which is one of the things I think suck abt OW2
simply put, overwatch 2 is no longer a video game; its a competitive eSport live service product. there is no more casual playerbase (low rank does not equal casual). the game takes itself way too seriously and the balance tries and fails to reflect that. 5v5 was meant to be more casual, more tdm like, but id say its had the opposite effect and made the game a lot less fun for people who don't care about winning every game, or trying their hardest to win. its especially apparent in quick play with the harsh leaver penalties and rampant toxicity. you can't even queue into qp and have fun without someone telling you to swap, or saying there's a tank diff, etc. high ranked players like to say that in low ranks you can lock whatever character and play them and it doesn't matter. this just isn't true, not in ranked OR quick play, especially for tanks because counter swapping is so prevalent. people try way too hard in these ranks to win, which has ruined qp for me. I can't play tank and have fun on doomfist when the other team swaps to hog, sombra, cass, bap, brig, etc. and this is in the "casual" gamemode. this isn't blizzard's fault per se, but a fault of the industry. this is what gaming is now, an ultra competitive experience that leaves no room for fun, or making friends. if you don't devote most of your gaming time to these games you will fall off. that's why I don't play anymore, not even quick play. just isnt worth it imo.
A big thing they ruined was the social side of the game. They just deleted the Looking For Group system.... It was one pf my favorite unique parts of the game.
Quickplay is suppose to be be just a warm up area / drop in and drop out before food arriving , friends coming over , something you use to be able to do for 1 mins or 5mins or full game but now you get punished for leaving , and ow team making it seem like QP is important in some way? as we should take it seriously , you know i got reported the other day for "throwing with doomfist in QP" i was learning , i was trying out different things but my team was not having it reported and endorsement got nuked all for just trying to learn a chara in quickplay , it was never like this before
