I worked on an Alaskan salmon processor in the summer of ‘91 that was a king crab boat in winter. Every dinner there was all you could eat king crab out of the blast freezer. I felt like a king. Sir, you are a king.

The perks of working on a crab boat, haha. I worked in lobster and snow carb processing plants back in the mid 90's and we ate our share, haha

Just discovered your channel. Love that you are continuing traditions. My ancestors are from Newfoundland and I'm trying to learn all I can about how they lived. THANK YOU

Wow! That's a lot of crab! I'm with mother, hate the smell of shellfish!
Do you ever snap it on the leg or only the scissors? I only ask because we never think of using scissors 😂
I just realized I guessed right on the price the other day. Do you ever dip the cream in melted butter?

I like melted butter with lobster, and I'll soon be doing a video on lobster, hopefully next week. The season opens on May 1st. We get crab for a good price locally. The benefits of Newfoundland haha

is there much difference between the flavor of crab and lobster? Only had fake crab.

Yes, there's a big difference. Everyone has a preference, which they like more. It seems that when you ask people which they prefer, most will say carb.

Why would you cook crab that's already been cooked?

The crab wasn't cooked. There wasn't much life in the carb. They definitely didn't come from the water that morning.
