Hey friends! This week I am starting something new, my back to basics meals! I have been struggling to find ways to fight off inflation when it comes to my grocery bills, and I know a lot of you are too. After trial and error, I finally realized that the best way to save money was to just get back to the basics! So that is what I'll be doing over the summer. Absolutely!! I love trying new recipes and meal ideas, but with prices so high I’m going to focus on a lot more of our well loved favorites and classic meals. 😃
I make the cocoa krispies treats for $3 9x13 pan
I use the tiny candy sprinkles on top
So cute and the grandkids can help me make them, so easy!
I use 1/2 lb ground beef in my spaghetti
Can’t do without the meat. I buy at $2.99 lb
Enjoying the in season vegetables cucumbers, tomatoes, okra, eggplant 🍆
Watermelon, cantaloupes, Blackberries we grew. I love the summer fruits and vegetables

I always use canned pinto beans for my refried beans. Add some seasonings and mash it in the pot on the stove while you make the other things 😊

Yeah!!! I don't like those shows trying to stay in a certain amount. Everyone knows what they can afford. It's ridiculous to cook meals with recipes every night you cook. I'm in my 70's I always by common sense and raised my family and they sure weren't lacking. I am fortunate enough to be able to taste a dish and fidure out how to make it without a recipe. Good for you. cook what you like not to impress youtube.
