I have a Vivitar 180mm F5 from the 70s. It's from my 35mm Olympus film kits, but I want to run it on my Fuji! Also looking for a wider angel lens so this is interesting.
That lens came out about 50 years ago. IIRC it was one of the first computer designed lenses. The reviews in Popular Photography showed "excellent" at each aperture but one -- better than contemporary Nikon and Pentax lenses. When it came out I managed to scrape enough money together to get one -- in M42 screw mount for my Pentax Spotmatic. I always had the impression that it would not take the same level of abuse that a Nikon lens might, but it certainly delivered in terms of optical performance. I sold mine while I was in college as I transitioned to Nikon gear.
After looking at your surname we are obviously both from Scandinavia. We have a shared interest in vintage lenses and on top of all that you have the exact same model coffee maker AND coffee grinder as me! (I actually paused the video and made me a cup). Something is fishy, might have to do a DNA test... Cheers brother 😆 Ps. looks like a nice lens!

Mr. Fujiman 🦖
Yeah, at that point we can officially approve Timo is Mr.Fujiman also we all wanna see Timos Kaiju 😶🤠
I've heard that vintage Japan wide angles - with odd or lower aperture numbers - are good to watch for.
However let's keep this secret.
Yet with a name like Varakas you should be leaving these deals for me!
I wish the name would equal to money.
What is the name of the adapter?
I used this lens on a Nikon F mount camera to begin with, so the adapter is a Nikon f mount adapter for Fuji.

Haha 😄 moccamaster is a great coffeemaker and the Wilfa is a great grinder! From Finland mate! And yeah, it’s a pretty nice lens!
Bro,thank u for your video,I want to know if this lens contains radiation like takumar.
Vivitar 28mm f/2.5 isn’t radioactive. It’s not on the list either. camerapedia.fandom.com/wiki/Radioactive_lenses
