Thanks for having me back on the channel, Phil!! The Condensed Conjugate system has helped me a ton in training to win more matches & get injured less!
The variation of dumbbells is extremely useful for a small person like me ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxP26Tir6n60vUkdtn4mbwhRO8cwuJQNy2 But the dumbbell size being large it's hard to do certain exercises like deadlift ( I have to have my hands and legs a bit wider to accommodate the size of the DB )Otherwise happy with the purchase. No excuse not to lift weight when it's snowing outside.
I'm so happy you made a video of this. Because it is super hard when your training jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, mma ect and your trying to figure out weight training and strength training. Super helpful video.
As a coach, and someone who has been obsessed with strength and conditioning for years, and newer to BJJ, this is hands down one of THE BEST videos I have seen breaking down how to train to get strong for BJJ. My training program is set up somewhat similar, and definitely learned some things from this video that I will try and change out/implement in the future. I've been saying very similar things to this video and its awesome to hear someone else confirming alot of what I believe to be true. Thanks for the great content.
Thank you for the video, I would like to give this a go. A few questions please… 1.) What rep ranges and number of sets do you recommend for “Max Effort”, “Secondary” and “Dynamic Effort please?” 2.) I see on both the upper body and lower body there are two exercises for the “Dynamic Effort” do you recommend that we do only one of those exercises or both? 3.) There are also two exercises for “secondary” for day 2. Do you recommend doing both exercises or just one. Your answers and advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you
Must definitely watch this later. I do my striking drills, some calisthenics n some other exercise. Most of my gym sessions are body building style workouts. Will try some of this in some future workouts
hey great video, what are your opinions on louie statement of how you shouldn't mix dynamic and maximum effort training in one workout session, will a 4 day split will be more beneficial? if so the recovery timing seems a bit challenging to understand
It's tough for me because I'm kinda skinny, but wanna look bigger and I train martial arts. So idk if I should do 6 day split in the morning then at night do martial arts, or keep my 3 day full body a week
Here dynamic seems to mean higher rep, more movement. So for you heavy days, you could do things like bench press, deadlift, barbell back squat, shoulder press, etc For dynamic days, you’d do more plyometrics, calisthenics, and exercises like Bulgarian split squat, kettle bell swings, medicine ball throws, all at higher reps.
Dynamic Effort exercises are exercises done with a lighter weight, with the intention of doing them at maximum speed. If you can’t move the weights t maximum speed, it’s no quite dynamic effort work.
Depends on a variety of factors. If you are doing Dynamic Effort work for the first time, a good place to start would be 9-12 sets of 1-3 reps. Focus on making each rep of each set as fast and explosive as possible.@@simplerstrength

What's the recommended volume for the max/dynamic effort secondary exercises for week 1?
What about Low intensity zone 2 cardio? BJJ sparring is pretty high intensity already
What are the rep ranges for this style of conjugate training ?
Legit information!
Yessir!!!
2:10 training splits
On day #2 you do pull ups and z-press as supersets or you choose only one exercise?
how many sets and reps for maximum and dynamic effort ? 3x3 for maximum effort and 3x10 for dynamic?
could u make one of these for boxing?
It's tough for me because I'm kinda skinny, but wanna look bigger and I train martial arts. So idk if I should do 6 day split in the morning then at night do martial arts, or keep my 3 day full body a week
I mostly train Bjj but I like MMA and would like to start Muai Tai again, should I go for the Grind? or fight dominance?,
what should be the sets and reps numbers for max effort workouts ?
is the fight dominance program for the average person or for someone who does this as their job?
What exactly do you mean dynamic exercises? Can you give example?

why is the word 'squat' not spelled correctly in this video? How to become a Supple Leopard, lots of good information in that book.
Still the same exercise. Get over it.
It’s just how I spell it. I originally picked it up from Mark Bell 😎💪🏽
@@joshuasettlage I suppose misspell is the new trend in our day in age. Look at Chik fila as a example
For someone with the word "stoic" in their username, you sure are letting the little things bother you.
