This is the same port ratio as a scream master so mystery kinda solved if only we had a 6/8 port recording.

Yes, it's 9 port. Same as an ACA Screamer S2, S5, S7.5 and the Scream Master.

Love your channel! Seeing all of the local sirens is something I’d always wanted to do but never got around to since they’re so few and far between. There’s a Darley of some kind in Corbett and I’m curious if they ever test it. It doesn’t look good driving by, so they may not. However, it may be something to look into! Keep making great siren videos!

Thanks! The Darley in Corbett is active as a fire siren but I don’t know if it tests.

@@samschannel531 Wow! I wonder what it sounds like. I tried writing them years ago and they never responded. Oh well.

Fascinating how this area seems to do attack for noon whistles while other jurisdictions do short alert blasts or growls. I could only imagine being one of those residents in John Day. 😂

What happens if you add Sentry 16 ports on top of Ed Bullard Weltex 9 port? To make Sentry 9/16 ports

My guess is that the siren is wired to always sound in attack and the noon signal is simply shorter than the fire signal. Sometimes, as it did here, the attack sequence isn’t in sync with the timer.

I think the whole county tests at noon, that’s quite a bit of tones

Half the sirens in the county do, the other half are active but don’t blast at noon.

@@audinos1840 I called them about it a while back, they said it used to go every day at noon but doesn’t anymore, but it is still an active fire siren.

    Who made weltex sirens

As I discovered when I filmed this, “Weltex” is a misnomer and these are actually model 3H27 sirens, made by E.D. Bullard Co.
