Trump has not been charged with a crime.. they are trying real hard but you cant take a misdemeanor that is beyond statute of limitations and make it something else. It is sickening and it could happen to any one of us.

Prosecutors are generally protected by absolute immunity, which means they are free from the consequences of a suit's results and from the burden of defending themselves. Why wouldn't the president have immunity?

Congress is the law. All law is derived from Congress. Congress can impeach and do whatever they want to the president. But the president has immunity from everyone except Congress and only while in office. That’s far from a dictatorship or monarchy.
