If your belt snaps while driving, the major issue you need to deal with is loss of the water pump for your coolant. You should pull over as your engine will overheat. If you have a hydraulic pump, your steering will become stiff as you lose power steering. Your battery light will turn on in the dash as the alternator is no longer powering the electricals.
