The kid who wrote this actually really understands the Doctor’s character. They wrote him really well. And I love how the doctor and Albert Einstein talk to each other like they were old Frenemies. This minisode is great it’s not a big giant adventure, it’s just Thursday for the Doctor.

Why do I get the feeling this was based off of Matt Smith's fanfiction? (It's a well-known fact that Matt wrote fanfiction of the Doctor meeting Einstein in order to get himself into the character.)

This gets even cooler when you find out that Matt once wrote fanfiction of the Doctor meeting Einstein after he’d recently been chosen to play Eleven and had watched some pre-existing episodes.
How did he turn into an Ood? Maybe it was some sort of time transformation as opposed to an actual, physical biotransformation. Therefore, this explains why it has the translator ball.
I like this. It would've been even better if it had included a line like "I haven't seen you since that business with the Rani on Lakertia" (a 7th Doctor adventure) but it really hit all the right notes for a mini-episode.
@@jtfire2447 The show's still good, it just doesn't have the same group family feel that the Pond era had. it doesn't have the buddy one of the Doctor and Donna either - sigh. It would just be nice if this team Tardis felt more like a unit that really mattered to the Doctor.

oh you know what's really funny? when they're actually showing "Germans" speaking German in British TV shows. Like in that mini episode of Sherlock before the third series, the jury or whatever it was, all of them saying "not guilty" in German. It really cracked me up, to someone who speaks German and knows how it's supposed to sound it's just hilarious "hmm... well, that one sounds slightly Russian... what's that supposed to be, Chinese?"

The TARDIS looks brilliant in the scene, wish they had lit it this way throughout the season.
