Yeah, the C12 series belts are only rated for up to 700cc. The reason is that the more torque that the engine outputs, creates a much higher amount of grip on the sides of the belt. As you would imagine your 1000cc is accelerating much faster than a 700cc. I would try their Redline series belts out, they're rated for 800cc-1100cc, and I'm putting them on a 700cc just to be safe. Gates makes really good belts for the price that they are, so I would definitely recommend giving the Redlines a shot before calling it quits on them.
Something that is kind of aggravating about that is from Gates own website, they will list this belt as applicable for machines with over 700cc. Because I just bought one for our rzr 900 based on what the website said. Oh well, atleast it was prime on Amazon. That belt it going right back if it acts up once within the return window.
I put the G force belt that was listed as "direct replacement" for my 2005 sportsman 500 HO, is garbage. Original belt 3211095, gates belt 20G4022E- G- Force was almost impossible to wrestle on, only to be too wide. Should have listened to the comments on Amazon and got polaris. Instead i listened to forums "my polaris dealer said Gates makes Polaris belts and they are better", bull$hit.
The C-12 belt isn't really designed for sport model's. Try the red line gates belt. Also the gboost belt you just put is really the best out there! I've got the badass sandstorm version and it has held up great. So the world's best belt is supposed to be 5 x better than the badass.
I do not understand why someone would do a review on a belt that is not rated to be on the machine they are testing it on? Nothing says "I do not know what I am doing" more but you watched it on the net so its true I guess right?
I may be wrong, but you’ll have to show me from Gates website where it says this. I can’t find where it gives any cc rating for the belt. And if it’s an undersized and wrong belt like you claim why would they list it as the belt for the machine???? Interesting list a part number for you machine and then claim it’s not rated for the machine when it breaks???
I got my at O'reilly's an he told me that the computer said that my suggested the red line so that what I got I do know they say not to pinch them at all will cause them to fell an I've heard amazon does when they ship them so don't know jus relaying what my research has came up with guess I'll give it a try it handy being to go to part store an get one is why I'm trying it even know I could've ordered it a little cheaper you never know what your getting on line could been bent or even a blem that someone is saleing
When ever I put a new belt on I always run it around my yard for a few before hitting the trails. I’ve had two Gates belts blow out on my lawnmower as well, they only last one cut each.
Hopefully an oem fixes your issue. A lot of the time you’ll notice an issue taking off from a stop. But have had belts cause check engine light when cruising then to a hard acceleration. The jerk from a belt slip will cause a misfire code.

2 belts in 340 miles?
Did u do the break in on the belt? The company requires a 5-10 mil drive in low no faster than 15 mph to break the belt in

I did break in as directed, low gear, no more than 1/2-3/4 throttle, 5-7 min, full cool down & repeat.
Belt is garbage.
Put one on my teryx 4 makes a vibration about 35 to 40 mph only have 125 miles on it ?? its a G force bad ass belt ordered OME hope thats the fix.

That belt is not designed for your machine, even if properly broken in its not gona do the job
