U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced changes to simplify and improve how the agency communicates case processing time data to the public. As part of an agency-wide commitment to improving transparency, efficiency, and customer service, the changes also make it easier for individuals to get an immediate answer on when they can make an inquiry into their case.

The tool allows applicants to check how long USCIS is currently taking to process specific forms, from when the agency first receives the form to when it makes a decision on a case. As part of the new changes, visa applicants can now narrow their results and find wait times for a particular form type.05-May-2022
The reasons for these delays are twofold: (1) the COVID19 pandemic impacted the efficiency and productivity of USCIS and all government functions, including mail delivery, and (2) the Trump Administration delayed the processing of visa petitions as a way to reduce the number of legal immigrants entering the United States.
The dramatic increase in processing times occurred despite USCIS experiencing a ten percent drop in cases received from the end of the fiscal year 2017 to the fiscal year 2019. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the times USCIS processing rates have continued to increase since the fiscal year 2019.
As of April 2022, the processing time for a green card holder sponsoring a spouse or a child under 21 years is between 23 to 30 months if USCIS received the form on or after November 1, 2019. All the times are estimates. The USCIS Processing Times page is updated once a month.
As of November 2021, the average time across all Field Offices is around 19 months. This backlog is largely due to the USCIS office closures amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
COVID-19 restrictions, fiscal issues, a hiring freeze, and other factors have greatly exacerbated processing delays and backlogs, and placed burdens on applicants and petitioners.

There is absolutely no transparency. They don’t have to tell you anything. They don’t have to give you a good reason or any denial. They don’t have to do anything. You must understand they don’t care. They do not care at all. They have destroyed my marriage of 13 years. I will never forgive them.
Give me a call and let's see if we can help
Oh new look
