    Just added this Video to my favourites list. It is so easy to follow and the colours are gorgeous. I know basic crochet stitches, and this wool looks so soft and quick to make up. Thank You for showing the back of the loop stitch, as I didn't know this one. I have a lot to learn and look forward to making this scarf in the near future :-)

    • @Daphne510

      If it long you can twist it in the middle and fold it. So it's doubled.

    If you use chunky Caron yarn how do you adjust length of chains? Help

    • @suebob16
      @suebob16 Рік тому

      Do a small gauge swatch of half double crochet with the yarn and crochet hook you plan to use. Count how many stitches equal an inch. Multiply that number by how many inches you want the scarf to be. That will tell you how many chain stitches to make.

    Why you joined the ends? Is it double scarf .can we make it without joining the ends

    • @sarahscott6565
      @sarahscott6565 3 роки тому

      asmita damle Yes, there’s no need to join the ends of each round. Just keep working into the back of each stitch as you come up to and pass by the end/start of each round like normal and then you won’t get that crooked line that she has on the end of her work. It will just look smooth all the way around because it will just be a smooth spiral. Keep working until the desired length or until you run out of yarn. Pull yarn through last stitch and weave in ends.

    • @gailc2223
      @gailc2223 6 років тому +10

      You do not need to know UK or US terminology. All you have to do if you watch the video properly. You can see she is doing an HDC (US) and ch 2 at the beginning of each round.

  • @nancygruszeczki8144
    @nancygruszeczki8144 6 років тому

    So what you need to explain to people is that you are doing UK, how about explaining US terms to people so they know what you are referring to. Second round camera is out of range and cannot be seen what you are doing. I think you should quit doing bad videos since you dont know how.

    • @gailc2223
      @gailc2223 6 років тому +12

      Well, aren't we the snotty little dear! I hardly ever have the sound on if I watch a video. I either read the transcript below the video or, in this case, just watch what she is doing and it makes no difference whether she is using UK or US terminology because the stitches are the same and you can see she is doing HDC and using ch2 at the beginning of the round. There really is no reason to insult and be rude. At least she gets on with it. Most knit or crochet videos are so boring as they sit and maul the yarn for 5 minutes and then work so slow, it puts me to sleep. Everything is in slow motion. Maybe that is what you want or need - I don't.

    • @TLetourneau82
      @TLetourneau82 6 років тому +11

      the best part is, if miss rude here used her brain for even half a second, she would have realized that there is no such term in US crochet as a half treble... furthermore if you can hear an accent of ANY kind from the person making the video you should always assume that they are using UK or other than US crochet terms. 3rd, if you dont know how to decipher what she is saying within a few seconds of hearing and SEEING what she is doing, this is clearly too advanced for you and you should probably stick to beginner videos. Personally i think you should quit being a snobby commenter since you clearly DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS THAT YOU ARE EVEN TALKING ABOUT.
