  • Elon Musk's Neuralink, initiated in 2016, got FDA approval in 2023 for human trials and implanted its first chip in January 2024. The latest advancements include the N1 implant, R1 surgical robot, and N1 user app, designed for severe spinal injuries and ALS patients aged 22-75. Neuralink aims to record and interpret brain signals to aid in movement.
Meanwhile, Daylight, a California-based startup, launched the DC1 tablet featuring a 120Hz E-Ink display. This blue-light-free tablet is designed for "deep thinking and wellness," combining E-Ink's eye comfort with LCD's responsiveness. Priced at $729, it runs on a custom minimalist Android OS, offering a paper-like reading and writing experience. Daylight plans to expand this technology to laptops.
