I'm actually crying. Rae deserves this so much, as does the other nominees, but something that Rae does just helps me realise how much she deserves this. I can't name it but i'm so happy. I would have been happy for any of the nominees but for Rae, Congrats girl.

But the thing is, it IS not the streamers who decide who is going to win, it's the viewers. Those are the one who vote, not the streamers
That's why Rae, or Ludwig (for best streamed évent) didn't look so happy to win, it wasn't their "Friends" décision, it was their viewers who voted for them, although themselves (Rae and Ludwig) would have rather Lost (Saw other people win because they felt they deserved it more)

Congrats to Valkyrae she's a great person, but do we really need a reward that's for "women and the disenfranchised?" Women aren't disenfranchised.. if anything they are flourishing. I know it's "woke" to say so but I find it to be a limiting view treating a gender as less than another.

Think about it this way - when the leaked list of Twitch streamer payouts came out, the top paid female streamer was Pokimane, and she was #39. Only 3 streamers out of the 100 top earners were female. That's why an award like this exists at the Streamer Awards.
