I have Roland FP-E50. The bluetooth midi works from day one (with all music app I use).

Cool that's good to know thanks for sharing. When I tested the FP-E50, BlueTooth MIDI did not appear as an option in any of my devices either (iPhone, iPad, MacBook); but I'm betting it probably would have worked as it did in this video (some apps can "find" it even though the device's BlueTooth settings cannot).

I use the Korg BLE-MIDI app to access midi on the FP-E50

I’ve never used GarageBand on a Mac but I assume it would be fine. Don’t know if you’d need a special driver or not.
