How To Price SEO Services - Contracts?

  • I've completely changed how I'm pricing and structuring my client SEO deals, here's the changes and why.
    1. Changed from month-to-month to 12 month SEO agreements
    2. Added link budget as an additional service on top of monthly retainers
    3. Switched from value based pricing (ideal for easy campaigns and lifestyle friendly businesses i.e. local SEO) to hourly-based retainers
    Now this doesn't mean you should necessarily do the same! I'm doing what works for the specific business I'm looking to build, yours may not (and most likely will not) look the same.

    A million thanks for this video, it’s very helpful for me.
    You said you price customers different for backlinks. My question is, for which option do you ask them to pay separately for the backlinks, is if for value based pricing or for hourly rate pricing?

      @darylrosser  Рік тому

      Hourly. We sell based on value, but justify/explain our pricing with hourly so backlinks are + our time.

    Hey Daryl, could you please suggest me on how to get international clients for SEO services from India. I know that India has not so good reputation in the SEO industry, but I am one of the few ones who genuinely care about quality and integrity of my services. Please reply. Thanks!

    Great video Daryl! I have question regarding the service plans I should offer - Would it better to create 3/4 individual SEO plans based on the size of the business/client? Or would it be better to offer a bespoke plan as per client? (this way I could charge clients what I feel is fair) ?

    • @darylrosser
      @darylrosser  Рік тому +1

      Personally, I have templated plans based on what typically needs done, then I'll customise the most appropriate one so it's bespoke for every client

      @@darylrosser Thanks for that info. The only fear I have is having to prove my worth to a big client. Although I've had good results working with small business owners, when closing a large client I'm reluctant in asking for a higher monthly fee as often they would want to see previous work for large clients. Which is where I struggle. Do you have any advice on this?

      @@mrnoname6905 I don't know what small or large is to you, since it's mostly just opinion. But nothing wrong with using smaller but similar clients as case studies.

    Hey Daryl, how can I price my Seo services as per the number of url’s my client has.
    For example say my client has about 10 different links or more, how can I price that please?
    I am trying to prepare a contract and I am really confused.

    • @darylrosser

      You just calculate how much time/work goes into per page, or the impact a single page can have. We charge per page for our ecom clients, granted there's usually a lot more than 10 pages.

      @@darylrosser do you find that you get commoditized because you only offer one thing?

      The opposite. Anyone offering several services is likely not great at any of them.

      @@darylrosser I disagree, I feel like I am an expert generalist but I also have years working at an agency doing Web design, paid advertising, email, lead forms, etc.. I think when you understand the whole playing field it gives you new and unique perspectives on the other areas of the business

    • @darylrosser
      @darylrosser  3 роки тому +3

      Sure, I agree. You're basically referring to T-Shaped marketers. But that's not how you scale a business.
      Focus on one thing until you max out your growth in it then add additional services, it's better for scale and ensuring you actually deliver awesome services.

    $170 dollar for a guest post link? How lol. Writing a decent piece of content (~1000 words) is basically $200 by itself.

      $200 for a 1000 word article looks like a bit too much, i know the comment is 2 years old and we have AI now, but we have been providing content for the past 5 years to reputable clients and we never asked for this absurd amount not even tried negotiating. Feels like a bit too much lol
