I have that same curler and I use it as a wand too, I just took the screws out of of the sides of the clamp so that it comes off completely and functions as a legit wand now, I love it!

+Ellen O the same thing happened to a curling iron of mine, all you have to do to fix it is wrap some tape (duct,masking, or scotch) around the piece where you're thumb rests, just wrap a good enough amount around to block the heat from burning your finger when you curl your hair. I did it to mine and the tape has lasted this way for several years now

+Ana Paula Sisa if you have the time -- try setting each wave with a bobbypin or pin curl clip! the key to longevity is letting your hair go from hot to cool in the goal position! a lot of the time when people have trouble getting waves to stay it's because their mane is super healthy/has no chemical damage so that's obviously not a bad thing; it just requires a bit more work 🙃
+bourneleader96 shes complaining about the broken hairs but in reality, the damage of the color processing is what allows this look to stay put...it is very hard to do on soft, unprocessed healthy hair. We always want what we can't have either way lol

the problem that I have is that nothing can make a curl stay in my hair. I have tried every fucking curling iron, wand, straighter. nothing works! it just falls falls out with in an hour.
Your hair might be too soft. Curls stay best in textured hair. Try roughly blow drying your hair before with a brush (without damaging it) or put a texturising spray in. And whatever you do don't straighten it before! I hope this helps
+amy laws the dirtier the better. If you really want this look you may even want to do some balayage/bleaching on the ends. It is a trade off because soft, healthy hair does not hold a curl like color treated/bleached hair does.
Girlll, I have the same problem! Try spraying the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray into your hair before blow drying it, it becomes a little dry but it holds the curl in better than anything that I've tried. Spray each curl with hair spray before and after you curl each section. You can add a tiny bit of shine serum or shine spray on the ends when you're finished! 👍🏻
