I have learned round brushes arent always needed...u can use a regular brush...just tilt the brush like your picking your hair and, blow dry the top and work your way down...or flip your hair upside down, blow dry from underneath first. then flip it back up. That helps increase volume. I wouldnt recommend hair products. U want to train your hair naturally
Tonya Hall, product is not an option, it's a necessity. I understand the "all natural thingy" yet grooming your hair or any other area of your body...we need products. 🙂
@@helenwalker5704 AND TONYA HALL - I didn't like to use products until the past year. I desperately needed volume and also needed to add a root lift because my hair is thinning and it needed a REALLY GOOD LIFT at the roots on my crown. I've found several products that are incredible. They make my hair look great!! Grateful I was open to using a good product or two to make my hair look great again.
What a brilliant way to explain the way of using a round brush, treat it like a paddle brush until you get to the ends! YES! YES! YES! That's a game changer...
Here again for my annual re-watching of this video now that my hair is past the bob stage into shoulder length - I definitely need to watch this again :-) absolute best blow out for volume video I have ever seen and it’s been four years since the first time I’ve seen it. Thank you so much!
My wedding is in one month and I seriously started crying because I had no idea what to do to my hair and stressed myself out lol , then I saw this, tried it out and I felt sooooo much better ! Now I know what to do thank you so much!
Omg! Your tip about not rolling the brush made so much sense! My hair always gets caught because that's how I was trying to blow dry my hair with the brush and it makes it hard and is so discouraging when I can't get it right. I'm still practicing but still having a hard time working the brush and blowdryer at the same time. It's like I lose all hand-eye coordination when I have both going, so hopefully with more practice, I can get it down soon! Super helpful video!
I am so glad you addressed the round hair brush because yes, I have the same problem that lady has. I never use a round brush because of that reason. I am going to try using it again now that I know you don't keep circling the brush.
EllaBangs, you are seriously the only person whose videos I trust. Thank you for explaining things and really telling all the details. I always wondered why my hair would get tangled so bad when attempting a blowout and your techniques have now saved me. Thanks for being so inspiring!!!
To treat your round brush as if it was a flat brush in order to avoid tangling was AMAZING! I have never thought Of that, yet it seems so obvious not to roll the brush when its close to the head, now that I know it :)! Great video! You did a good job on explaining everything in depth!
I ALWAYS get my hair tangled in my brush while attempting this. you're the only person who brought this up, before I just couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I'm now so excited to try this the correct way lol
Omg you’re the first person to explain how to use a round brush in a way that makes sense! I understand why my hair was getting tangled now! Thank you!
thank you so much! no one really explains how to position the brush ..I've struggled with getting the perfect blow out so much. This video was soooo damn helpful!!! can't wait to try :D sometimes I tangle up my hair really bad..I think I know what I have been doing wrong LOL
Wow thank you for doing this. I've watched so many of these blow drying videos and none ever work the same when I try it. With super long and thick hair a round brush was my #1 enemy. None of my hairdressers have been able to explain what I was doing wrong and half way through your video and now I'm able to use one! My hair and scalp thank you!
also helps if afterwards you hit it a couple of min. with the cold air if you have that setting on your blowdryer to cool the hair and brush down to set it ..(25 yrs as a stylist)
Yay, I've been doing this for yrs simply to stop the static bc my hair is so long by the time I dry it there's alot of static so I hit the coolest heat then hold the cold button &it makes my hair stay slick&shiny even in humidity. At least I've been doing that right, lol. Thanks for the confirmation.
I used this process today- and it worked! I cannot tell you how many youtube videos I have watched and methods I have tried. This is the only one that worked for me, and it was easy. Thanks again!
I have followed you for several years and have never left a comment, but I'm leaving one today. I feel as if I have watched a million videos about volumizing hair and yours is truly the best, even three years later. I have bought many products and tried many different techniques but I always go back to this one because it works! I ordered and have reordered the Get Lifted and Sleek Dreams from eSalon since watching your video for the first time in 2016. I just wanted to say Thank You.
Best blowdry tutorial ever and yes there are many of them! Love the fact you are doing all this with one clip. Did exactly what you showed and I feel for the first time I really nailed my blowdry. Love this look on you!
Well, I have had lots of problems styling my thinning, post 50 hair. I followed your tutorial today, move by move and have got the best result in a very long time. Thanks for the tips.
Wow thanks for the amazing blow drying tips. I have been doing it so wrong and feel like if my hair doesn't look good, my day doesn't seem great either. I'm definitely gonna try these methods. Love ur hair.
I've been coming back to this video literally every weekend for the past few weeks because your tutorial taught me so much about achieving that volume that I could just never get a hold of..I just don't understand hair lol. Thank you for explaining every last detail it really helps even if it should be common sense lol. By the way, I think you're STUNNING. Something about your face reminds me of Nicole Richie but you're simply BREATHTAKING
Wow! Every little detail of this video is just gorgeous! The setting, colors in background picture, the colors of your styling tools, your make up, hair color, clothing...it all just goes together so beautifully and makes you look even more stunning! Beautiful!
Thanks for the tip on how to use a round brush. I normally wrap my hair around and end up with little volume at the roots but loads from about 3 inches from the root to the ends. Great tutorial Silviya 💕💕
I went to school for cosmetology (2x.. 1 at a community college and the 2nd at an academy) and decided it was not for me, so I didn’t finish either time… this is THE FIRST time I have heard a bigger brush doesn’t mean extra volume and to not curl hair around round brush… but what you’re saying makes complete sense!
I LOVE this golden, pearl, shimmery white goddess look you pull off! So flawless! Starting with your make-up and eyeshadow, hair tone and background *_*
I am 65 years old and u taught me something new. It's funny it is so obvious to u and probably other stylist and now that u say how to do it I realize that it how my stylist does my hair but for some reason when I did it myself I would wrap my hair around the round brush. NO MORE!!!! Lesson learned. Thanks.
+Debbie Lee yay you're welcome :) I love their products and they actually listen to my suggestions lol! I'm doing a grey coverage video Saturday using one of their products. Hope you love your products!

Your method truly works! For the first time ever, I have the best at-home blowout that lasts! I tried this last night (minus any product), and I have voluminous, bouncy hair that lasted all day ! I ordered the root lift spray, smoothing balm and conditioning balm bundle from eSalon and can't wait to use 'em. Thanks soooo much and stay beautiful! 😘💋
this was SO helpful!! I've always had hesitations with blowing out my hair because the brush would always get stuck. I am definitely going to try a bigger round brush as well as the techniques you shared! thank you!!
I've used a round brush for years!! Now watching your video I've been using it wrong lol. Thanks for the tip 🤗 Love this video, your hair looks fab! 💁🏼💁🏼💁🏼
Okay, I know this video is a year old, and I know you probably won't see this comment, but I wanted to say thank you. I have been struggling lately with feeling like my hair is boring, frizzy, and limp. I've tried giving myself blowouts in the past, to no avail, but I followed along with this video today, and it WORKED! I didn't get nearly as much volume as you have here, but my hair is smooth and full of life, ready to be parted any way I like. Thank you so much. This video help me a lot, has made me feel so much happier with my hair. Thank you, truly.
It wasn't me you mentioned in the video, but I too have had the experience of getting a [smaller] round brush with stiff bristles (loaned by my roommate) tangled in my fine hair. I couldn't cut it out since I was in a hotel and didn't have scissors, but I was a half hour late to dinner! Anyway, I ordered the e-Salon root lift and went right out to get the BIG round brush. I was standing there in Ulta thinking about the previous tangle crisis and that this was SO much larger than any brush I own when the SA said I could return it if it didn't work out for me. So, today I used it, no tangles, and got a great blowout! THANKS for your great advice!
This seriously helped me big time! It's funny how I have watched a zillion "add volume" videos, yet the things you said about round brushing, ect, just CLICKED and I can't wait to try this in the morning!! I may finally get the hang of it now =) Thanks for the tips!
OMG--Right?! I always loved her "swoopy" long bangs and now I see I've been going about it all wrong, trying to flip them back when I should blow them under! Seems counterintuitive to me, but I tried and it worked!
Hey, I've learned to volumize my hair over the years from copying hair stylists, and this is the first time I see someone do the complete opposite of blowdrying from top to bottom. If you start from bottom to top, your hair is never in the way, and you don't have to tie your blow-dried hair causing a hair tie line. You'll also look more comfortable, and can structure how you part your hair for blowdrying. this tip is ideal for anyone who has dryer hair/curlier hair because you have better grip and control for consistency. Love your hair!
wherearemymarbles The reason why you should start at the top is because the top dries much quicker than the bottom. If you start at the bottom the top will be almost completely dry before you've had the chance to style it
I know this is e salon, but a great anti frizz is Garnier Sleek & Shine. It's light, used on wet or dry hair, a little goes a long way and it holds your style and volume. I've used it on dirty hair, wet hair, dry hair, frizzed hair ...... one great product. The handle on my big round brush broke off, after many years, think I'm going for a bigger one like yours. They are awesome. Thanks for the tutorial! You make it so easy to understand.
Great video. Love how bubbly and happy you are in this video. Great tutorial, I totally struggle with volume and using a round brush. Beautifully filmed by the way. Keep it up and I think you'll see more an audience.
Omgosh!! THANK YOU for showing how to use a ROUND Brush!! I have tried so many times over the years to use one and ALWAYS got it caught and tangled and then never used it again for years until I would try again and fail. NOW I know what I was doing wrong and will pull out that brush (if I can find it lol) to see if I can manage it better now with your proper instruction!! Woot! You have gorgeous hair !! xo
I just tried this!! WOW!!! I didn't have the hair products that you did, so I used a volumizing moouse. You were right it doesn't get frizzy!! I'm amazed at the volume I got. I can't for hubby to get home and see it. Thank you soooo much for the video!!!
Thank you SO MUCH for explaining how to use a round brush properly! I had no idea and thought I had to keeping it twisting the whole time. I didn't get my hair caught, thank God, but my hands and wrists wanted to fall off from overuse before I was finished. Quite silly, I'm sure :D Even so, cosmetologists must have enormously strong hands and wrists for the work they do all day long, 5 or 6 days a week. That's incredible.
So great...I try to do a blow out at least once a week and you're right, makes me feel so great! I love the tip about the brush at the beginning...I'm always struggling with my round brush as I have super thick and curly hair. This will probably change my life. ;) xo
Thank you! I'll definitely try this on a client. As for myself I don't like volume on my hair...what most stylist fail to realize is that some of us have way too much hair and prefer a no volume blow out. Many times I have walked out of a salon with a blow out super smooth but with too much volume and all I can think is I can't wait to wash my hair...
I had leukemia 8 years ago. My hair seems thinner but 4 years ago I lost a lot of weight and I am 43 years old. So I think a combination of everything has made it thinner. All I do is blonde highlights every 6 to 8 weeks. Do you have any suggestions on getting it healthy and thicker?
Take vitamin B, use volumizing shampoos. Dye your hair a color instead of using bleach on it. Bleaching makes it porous, dyeing the hair coats all the hairs in a little layer of dye making it a little thicker.
YESSSS girl I just rediscovered your channel after having not watched your videos for quite a while and it's so great to see you being so much more confident! I LOVE THIS. RE-OBSESSED.
I'm totally going to have to watch this video everyday until I master it. Thank you so much for doing this tutorial..I struggle so bad with my round brush..I can never seem to get that kind of volume without teesing and back combing a bit..I just love you😁
+ellebangs So I'm trying to buy these products but the promo disappears after you hit review... hmmm maybe they sold out. Is there an actual code I can put in? It says 7.50 when you click the link but then its gone ..No biggie..Im probably messing something up😂

Omg OBSESSED WITH THE WAY YOU HUNG UR BANGS BACK CURLED UNDER WITH NO CURLER..😍😱 IVE NEVER SEEN ANY1 DO THAT TECHNIQUE.. ITS VERY CLEVER!! Im gonna try it.. But im suure it will take me sum practice..lol great vid gorgeous!! Ur hair IS EVERYTHING!! Xoxo jessca
@@lindac1985 medium heat won't smooth the hair. High heat is for smoothing and then using the cool shock to close the cuticle and thats what gives the hair that smooth shiny look.
Thank you so much for explaining things so thoroughly! I don't know anything about doing my hair or using a round brush. I've always wanted to use a round brush on my hair because the volume and waves produced by the brush are so gorgeous but I've always tangled my hair trying to doing so and give up. Also, I have very fine straight hair and never knew what size brush I would need and why. I will be subscribing to your videos and buying this brush and these products. I never knew you needed to wait til your hair is 60% dry to put in products and to blow dry. I've always done this when my hair is still super wet. SMH.

wherearemymarbles The reason why you should start at the top is because the top dries much quicker than the bottom. If you start at the bottom the top will be almost completely dry before you've had the chance to style it
Absolutely love your hair colour, what should I ask my hairdresser for? I've only had it done today and now wish I had found hour before xxx
I'm obsessed with your color!! So cute!
OMG your hair dries soooo fast! I'm jealous!
Woot! You have gorgeous hair !! xo
Your haircut is so pretty! Can you explain what kind of cut it is? Thank you!!!
I just tried this!! WOW!!! I didn't have the hair products that you did, so I used a volumizing moouse. You were right it doesn't get frizzy!! I'm amazed at the volume I got. I can't for hubby to get home and see it. Thank you soooo much for the video!!!
Lmao "I'm trying to get root at the volume" 😂😂😂 love you girl!
+yesica mosqueda hahaha I didnt even realize - it was when Adam was editing he noticed and added the pop-up LOL
Ok this might be the best hair tutorial on youtube. You explain everything so well and give reasons for doing everything! I love it!
SUPER helpful video! I definitely struggled with getting the brush stuck and tangling my hair. Now I know not to twist.
your hair is gorgeous! how do you keep it soft and shiny despite all the treatments? Also, I think you look so much like Shakira!
This will probably change my life. ;)
xo
I am so glad you explained the brush 😂 I always become a tangled mess! Thank you thank you!!!
Such a pretty look ! You're gorgeous !
Wow can you blow dry my hair! 😍 love your color and styling! I will try this once I get the right tools lol
You are so smart about how hair works. Thank you for sharing your understanding with us!
i love your hair cut!! how can i describe it to my hairstylist so she knows how to cut my hair?
I need the colour blond you use ❤
Thank you so much for the round brush tutorial!!
I followed your advice and for the very first time in my life I got my hair as I wanted!!!!
Thank you so much! ❤
Awww yay!
Tammy Miller get a balayage ! Then you only bleach it every few months.

Can I just come over to your house and you can do my hair 😂
Great Video!! It is so helpful that you are blow drying yourself and showing that methodology. You are also adorable and fun to watch. Thank you for posting.
Gorgeous hair !! That's my perfect colour but I never seem to be able to hold an light ash toner on my natural medium ash blonde hair ! Any tips ?
Maybe your area's water? Minerals grab in processed hair, show in bleached.
Omg OBSESSED WITH THE WAY YOU HUNG UR BANGS BACK CURLED UNDER WITH NO CURLER..😍😱
IVE NEVER SEEN ANY1 DO THAT TECHNIQUE.. ITS VERY CLEVER!! Im gonna try it.. But im suure it will take me sum practice..lol great vid gorgeous!! Ur hair IS EVERYTHING!! Xoxo jessca
What temperature do you recommend for blow drying? Hot or medium? Love you and your hair looks gorgeous -- always💛
Melissa Renaud medium heat, high heat will burn your hair.
@@lindac1985 medium heat won't smooth the hair. High heat is for smoothing and then using the cool shock to close the cuticle and thats what gives the hair that smooth shiny look.
I totally but the root lift and the brush..Serious life changers. The brush is my new favorite..😀
I love your videos they're always so informative :)
+Kasy Santos Thanks for watching xx :)
Thank you for posting!🌹
pls can you let me know the size of your OLIVIA GARDEN Nanothermic Brush in this video - 2-3/4 in or 3-1/4 in
Thank you so much for explaining things so thoroughly! SMH.
