Wonderful. I watched this live on the Tube friday afternoon, i always remebered Michaels very odd performance it was one of the first things we recorded when we got a video recorder and watched it a million times. The Smiths did a great set on the Tube around this time.
That bassline is just fckn amazing! 👍
Stipe was quite the spaz at the time. Wish Mike’s vocals were more up in the mix, but it’s cool to finally hear Bill’s backing vox at the time.
None of these guys buttoned their shirt sleeves and they could pull off that look.

First heard of REM in 83, was great to see them on the tube a brilliant live show.. This I think was the first time in the UK 🇬🇧 unless you different? 👌
