Iowa propaganda. Lee is vulnerable. This guy rocked him. This is wrestling. Lee got put on his back with a brilliant move. Iowa fans need to stop being Neanderthals like their coach. Wrestling is competitive and Iowa gets beat like a drum often. The only thing you should be deifying is Gable. That’s it. Yes, Gable is the man. I was lucky enough to wrestle with him at clinics in the 1970s. But today Iowa is basically the stupid side of wrestling. Penn State is the smart side. Lee has been taken down by and beaten by Ronnie Bresser, Nathan Tomasello, Nick Piccininni and Sebastian Rivera. Freshman year Tomasello Ronnie Bresser, and Spencer went with 1-1 Tomasello going into NCAA. With Spencer and that funky pin in the Semis. (2-1 against Tomasello)
He beat Rivera freshmen year. Rivera beat him at Midlands, and later in the Big Ten Finals. Rivera is the only one to beat Spencer twice. (Spence 1-2) That year also got pinned by Nick Piccininni in the dual. Spencer later beat Piccininni at NCAA. (3-1 against Piccinninni) Riviera lost to Muller who Spencer beat for his 2nd title. So his sophomore year he had 3 losses, and still showed up a the right time for NCAA.
Junior year his biggest opponent was his knees.
What's scary is if he wins a fourth title, he will only have two Big Ten titles.

@@legacygains5742 Gomez over Yianni, Coleman over Brooks, and Glory over Lee (all I presume I just can't get behind).
I do think Glory has the advantage in that they won't meet until NCAAs since Princeton isn't B1G, but Lee will have enough matches under his belt by then to get his conditioning back and enough matches to have re-learned how to wrestle at his healthiest (relatively speaking)
Coleman over Brooks: rarely does PSU lose twice to the same guy, and when they do, it doesn't happen at NCAAs. I think Coleman benefits from not seeing Brooks until then but I can't bet against Penn State at Nationals
Gomez over Yianni: similar story with Brooks. Gomez is on a mission but Yianni is too. We saw what Yianni did to Ridge Lovett in NCAAs after Lovett took him to OT during the regular season. This, to me, would be the least shocking result of the three, but I wouldn't be surprised, per se, given that Gomez has already won and Yianni has looked vulnerable.
